Welcome, @angelicasuarez and thank you for coming to the QuickBooks Community for assistance. I have some insight on which checks to use to pass along.

You can use any checks that are compatible with QuickBooks.

Intuit does sell checks specifically designed to work with QuickBooks, you can find these here

I never printed checks before... I tried to print on a regular paper. The output does not show my biz checking/routing number. Is it normal ? So I can not use blank checks from Amazon, I need to use specific checks that already have my bank info pre-printed on them ? Will appreciate your insight. Thanks !

Hi there akurteeva. You came to the right place, you'll need to order pre-printed voucher checks from either your bank or Intuit also offers a variety of options that you may prefer.

Thank you Steve, but I’m planning to do biz management so besides for my biz account I’ll need to order preprinted checks for my biz management clients? Any other solution to be able to use blank checks ? Perhaps there is a third party app? Thanks again !

Hi akurteeva. Thanks for replying. Yes, the only options other than pre-printed stock would be 3rd part applications. Here's a list to give you an idea of what's available for printing checks on Blank Stock. A few of them have their own support lines as well, so if you need help getting them set-up help shouldn't be far away.

If there's anything else I can do though, just leave a reply below.

Did you end up ordering through Costco? I am thinking about ordering ours through Costco but want to make sure they print correctly before ordering 500.

I am thinking about ordering through costco also?  Did you end up ordering blank checks through them and use a 3rd party app?  Or order preprinted checks and print through QBO?

Did you guys pull the trigger on Costco checks. Not sure which ones to order for QB online. I know they have to be pre-printed (like these: https://www.costcochecks.com/p/laser-draft-check/88836) but do these work on a standard business printer?

Good day to you, @Scottorama.

Printing checks in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is a breeze. To be guided on what  paper checks to print, you can visit our QuickBooks Checks & Supplies page for reference.

Once you have your paper checks, you can now print checks in your account using a standard printer. Let me guide you how:

  1. Go to the + New menu.
  2. Select Print checks.
  3. Load your checks into the printer (do a test print on plain paper first to check the alignment so you don’t waste checks).
  4. Select the checking account that you created the check from the drop-down menu.
  5. In the Starting check no. field, enter the check number of the first check in the printer.
  6. Select the checkbox next to each check you want to print.
  7. Click Preview and print.
  8. If everything is correct, select Print.
  9. Click Done if your checks print correctly.

You can also check this article for more details about the process: Print a checks in QuickBooks Online.
