Hi, @nctriangle.
You should be able to add an attachment to your invoices from the Attachments section. If not, I recommend adding up the file using a private window. In most cases, unexpected behavior while working with QuickBooks is caused by too much cache stock on the regular browser you're using.
To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:
If it works, I recommend going back to your original browser, then clear its cache to start fresh. You can also use other supported browsers and have added Intuit as a trusted site to prevent your browser from potentially blocking site content.
On the other hand, here's how you can add attachments to your customer and vendor profiles, as well as their transactions.

Hi,
Thank you for the help.
I am referring to the attachment that comes with the same invoice that you are sending out. Some of my customers like to save a copy of each of their monthly invoices for their own personal records.
Why did this suddenly go away ?
How do I add this option back ?
Sincerely,
Matt Bowman
I appreciate your prompt reply, Matt Bowman.
Your customer can Print or Save their invoice to have a monthly copy of their invoice. They can also download the PDF file attached to their invoice. I’ve attached an image below for your visual reference.
If you’re referring to the attachment you added to the invoice. Ensure to put a check inside the box beside the Attach to email.
Moreover, I’m adding this article that you can read for future guidance. This can guide you through the steps on how to uniquely personalize your invoice: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.
Keep me in the loop if you have other concerns managing your invoices or with your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. I’ll be around ready to help you. Have a great weekend!
Hi,
Thank you for your reply.
I am referring to the attachment of the sent invoice itself.
I receive a notice that the invoice has been sent out to the customer, and I noticed that the attachment that was readily available is no longer there. I guess you all eliminated this feature.
Sincerely,
Matt Bowman
Thanks for adding more details, nctriangle.
The attachment may be missing because it reached the maximum file size limit of 20 MB. I'd suggest reducing the size and attach the document again.
Here's how:

If the issue persists, I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They'll be able to determine the main cause of this.
Additionally, I've added an article that'll help you personalize and add specific info to your invoices: Customize Sales Forms.
Please reach out to me if you'll need assistance in managing sales transactions. I'm always here to help.
The simple answer is they discontinued this option along with the recurring expense option. Both of which are unfortunate changes.
The Show Existing Link is gone. That's the problem here. When is it going to be back? Or is it a permanent removal??
I appreciate you for joining us here in the thread, @kjbj.
As of now, the Show Existing link feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO) is unavailable. I'd suggest reaching out to our Product Development team about this. They'll consider your suggestion for future product update.
When prioritizing feature development, we pay close attention to our customers' ideas and suggestions. You can select Feedback by clicking the Gear symbol in the upper-right corner.
