Since there's still no Wizard found even after the update, I recommend contacting our payroll support to get this resolved. Our representatives can check your account further and find you more solutions.
Before that, make sure to check our support hours. Then, follow the steps below to connect with us.

When I click File/Print forms, a box opens up. It is not called Wizard but it is the wizard. You have two buttons. One is for NEC forms and the other is MISC forms. Click the one you want to prepare and go thru the windows. That is the wizard. If you need to do the other type of forms, close the current window and repeat by File/Print forms and this time select the other button and go thru the windows . That will set up the wizard and get you to the final window where you can print or file. Hope this helps.

Yes, however, QB doesn't give you the option to choose 3 part form. It only prints 2 part form (which is referred to as 2-up).
I'm here to help make printing for your 1099's easy as possible, chale.
Normally, this happens if the release version and extension for your product year are lower than those listed below.
You'll want to make sure to update QuickBooks to the latest release. To do this, the steps are provided below:
Once updated, proceed to the 1099 Wizard and print Form 1099-NEC. However, if the issue persists, I recommend reaching out to our support team to investigate further. They have the tools to pull up your account securely.

I still wasn't able to find 1099 Wizard....I need to change an amount of a vendor to reflect on the 1099 Form
Nice to have you joined this thread, @Church862.
I want to make sure I provide you the best solution so you can seamlessly print your 1099 forms. Were you able to perform the steps shared by my colleague MariaSoledadG? If not, I suggest doing so to isolate this issue.
If you have and the issue persists, I recommend closing your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and reopening the program. This refreshes the system and for the updates to take effect.
When everything is all set, you can follow along with these steps to access the 1099 Wizard.
You can also utilize this link for guidance: Create and file 1099s with QuickBooks Desktop.
In case you want to provide a copy of your 1099 to your vendors and contractors, please feel free to check out this article for the detailed steps: Print your 1099 forms.

That still does not work for me and using 2020 PRO
@DBJennings What part doesn't work?
1. Check that all vendors who need a 1099 have the box checked and an EIN or SSN filled in on the Tax Info tab of the vendor file in the vendor center.
2. Make sure you have run and installed updates. Close QB and reopen, or reboot as needed to install the updates.
3. Go to the file menu: Print forms: Print 1099/1096. The system will force you to do a backup.
4. Say yes when asked if you want to prepare your 1099s.
5. Select the tile for 1099-Misc.
6. Click through to the mapping screen and select the appropriate accounts (for most companies, this will be only Rent Expense, or only Rent and Medical Payments, but may also be Gross Proceeds to an Attorney, Direct Sales over $5000 etc.).
7. Review the vendors to see who is on your list for 1099-MISC and correct the vendor records as needed.
8. Click save and close the Wizard (yes, it is a Wizard, even though it isn't named that).
9. Return to the file menu and print forms, 1099/1096 again.
10. Click the tile that says 1099-NEC.
11. Go to the Mapping screen and map all of your accounts that belong on the 1099-NEC, including Subcontracted Services, Professional Fees, and the like.
12. Continue through to the vendor screen and review.
At what point is your process breaking down?
Has the program been updated yet so that the 1099-NECs print on 3-part forms?
@Cbumpers I read that you have to go to update and reset the updates, run and install, then go to edit: preferences: tax1099 and run the 1099 wizard from there instead of from print forms. Worth a try.
Got it, thanks. After going through the "Reset Updates" routine, it worked.
Tried EVERYTHING. Nothing allows me to print 3 part 1099-NEC forms this year :(
Unfreaking believable.
@ConsultNicole Did you check your update version? The update seems to be what is causing the issues. I spoke to another ProAdvisor who was able to fix it by creating a Portable File, then restoring the Portable file. That process forced the update to install. Release version should be:
@ConsultNicole Also, you can go the Intuit downloads site https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products
Fill in your product version and year, then click the link to download the update (not the full version) and install them manually. Then close out and reboot, click F2 and check your version.
As a Quickbooks Proadvisor, I see several versions of Quickbooks desktop.
Yesterday I actually ran into this problem where NEC was showing 2 part forms.
I did a payroll update and a Quickbooks update, rebooted the computer and installed all of these updates. Did not fix the problem. Tried the Quickbooks Update again. The key was going into the updates and hitting the reset button which has been mentioned before in this blog. That was the trick and it worked. It did mess up the wizard and I had to go in and reset all the 1099 accounts but everything did work and print. This was Quickbooks 2022 Pro Plus that I was working in.
Update to my earlier post not being able to print 3 part forms. It took me 5 tries to do the updates. 5 times hitting Reset updates. After which I was able to see 3 part forms. It wiped my mapped accounts. I had to select Map 1099 Misc even though I wanted NEC. I selected Omit on all categories. Saved. Went back in and re-mapped to NEC forms and was able to print correclty.
Someone else also mentioned that the NEC accounts had inadvertently gotten mapped to the MISC and it was a bear fixing that. It has certainly been a very glitchy year.
Have had the same forms problem in both QB Desktop 2021 and newly updated QB Desktop 2022. (Paid the extra money for QB branded 1099-NEC forms too!) It takes a while to fix - QB blew it this year! Extremely frustrating & poor programing by QB. You shouldn't have to find the answer from other users.
