The federal Form 941 (IRS) that I submitted on 4/1/2021 is still under the status of "Submitted to Intuit." All the other e-filings I have done say Agency Accepted. But this one has not processed or been accepted. The only other forms I have found in this community are if it has been rejected, accepted, returned, etc. I can't find anything about if it hasn't even been processed after submission. It is now 6/3/2021, so I don't understand why it has not been processed?? I hope someone can help me. Thank you.
Thanks for reaching out to us, marissah.
Let me help you in fixing the e-filing issue.
The Submitted to Intuit status means that the e-filed form has been submitted to Intuit and is ready to process. If there are issues or needs action on the form you submitted, Intuit will send an email about it so I suggest you check your email.
Also, it's best to reach out to our Support Team so they can review the root cause of this issue.
Here are some of the articles you'll want to check. These will discuss more on how to submit and check the filed forms:

No emails have been sent to me that there is an issue. I was able to get in contact with an agent and all they could tell me was that it was submitted (what I can already see), but they offered no solution.

So, I submitted my 941 efile almost 3 days ago and it still says submitted to intuit. I have called a few times and the only answer I get is that it is still processing and wait 10 days. It has never been this way, I submit to intuit and it says submitted to intuit and within 24 hours (usually much quicker) it will say submitted to agency and the agency accepted or rejected. The QBDT website says same thing so its like my submission is stuck within intuit and not being submitted to agency. Both people I spoke with QBDT said it was an IRS issue to pass the issue off. It's not an IRS issue it hasnt' been sent to the IRS yet, it's still with Intuit. QBDT website even gives the process. I can't re-efile as QBDT wont' let me do that.

Good Morning and thank you for responding, however this is not about payments as I stated this is my efile 941 quarterly report. All my other efiles sent at same time, for state and w/2,W3 went thru fine. In my research the progression one efile is submitted it
submit to intuit
submitted to agency
agency accepts or rejects
My 941 quarterly report is stuck at the submitted to intuit stage and has NOT been submitted to agency IRS yet? Why, no one I talked to can tell me. I have tried now 4 times and no one can answer, they say wait. it does not take over 72 hours. Someone from a higher level was to call me back yesterday and NEVER did.
I submitted my 941 qtly by efile on 1/3/2022. Status has not changed. It remains in Submitted to Intuit.
I called Intuit 1/5/2022 and spoke to Angelo who Promised it would be submitted to tax agency by the end
of the 1/5/2022 day. As of 1/6/2022 it has NOT been submitted. I have also contact the help desk through
QB and stated my problem, requested a call back. That also has not happened. So what should I do now??
Should I resubmit the 941 efile for the 4th qt 2021? Just print them and mail them to the IRS? Or wait yet
again for a phone call from Intuit, which I am quickly losing faith in.
Hello, @bjhm.
Thanks for taking the time to follow the thread and sharing your experience with us. Please know this isn't the impression we wish to leave you with.
I recommend contacting our Support Team directly. This way, an agent can review your account in a secure environment and confirm the status of your E-file. I've included a link below to connect with an agent that includes a direct phone number for support.
Please let me know how it goes. Don't hesitate to ask any additional questions that you may have. I'll be here every step of the way. Take care!
I wish I could say I havent done that , but I have numerous times called with ABSOLUTELY no results. Supervisors were to call me back and that never happened. All I keep getting is reach out to support department and that gets me NO RESULTS
I contacted support...Max and Jack helped me!! They were both outstanding. Thank you for sending me
the phone number to contact them.
I know this is an old thread but did you ever get your confirmation emails. I am dealing with the same thing at present. I e-filed my 940 & 941 tax returns and usually I get a "Accepted Tax Return" confirmation email instantly and for sure in the same day. But I submitted these returns on 1/4/22 and it's been 2 days and I still have not gotten an Accepted email. I called support twice, first time the guy was totally clueless finally put me on hold and came back and told me that these emails come from the IRS (which past emails plainly are signed by QuickBooks team) and that the IRS was closed. I'm like the IRS is "CLOSED" on January 4th?
The 2nd support call the lady put me on hold she also seemed clueless about what to tell me, she then came back and said I will be getting the email today, I reminded her it had been 2 days that I had not received the confirmation emails. She said again I would get them today, still I have not gotten them but the day is almost over maybe I might but I am not hopeful. I still feel like each support person I talk to is just trying to get rid of me because they do not know the answer.
Same here any help or whatever happened with your case would help me. I am still waiting to get Accepted Tax Return emails for my 940 & 941 e-filed returns.
I need Max & Jack's number please.....
Good evening, @KimW60.
Thanks for reaching out on this thread. I can provide you with some details to help you out.
To clarify, there isn't a direct phone number to Max or Jack. They are part of our Customer Support Team. However, you can get in touch with our support team and have them assist you further with this issue.
Keep us updated on how the call goes. We want to ensure that you're taken care of today. Have a wonderful day!
Hi bjhm:
Please let me know what Max and Jack said to resolve this issue. I am having the same problem.
Thanks!!
Please tell us what max and jack said. I’m having the same problem.
thanks!!
I submitted the 2021 4th qtr form 941 and the 2021 form 940 on 1/4/22. My forms are also "stuck" and the status STILL says, "Submitted to Intuit", and the description says, "Sent to Intuit for processing". This definitely appears to be an Intuit issue and it is sad that Intuit can't seem to help us get this issue resolved! I submitted the W-3 on the same day, and that was sent to the agency and accepted by the agency all on the same day! Please Intuit, give us a solution on how we should file our 941's and 940's. Should we resubmit? Should we mail the IRS the paper forms? What should we do?
Hi there, @MiRe22.
I understand the urgency of submitting 941 and 940 forms. And I want to make sure you can submit them to the IRS at the earliest.
Since your forms are stuck to the Submitted to Intuit status and already beyond the processing time, I highly recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on the status and help you submit the forms.
To reach them, you can use these articles depending on the QuickBooks product you have:
You might also want to check out these checklists to make sure that you've completed all the tasks before the end of the filing season:
Should you need any assistance filing your other forms, I'm available here to help any time! Wishing you all the best, @MiRe22.
I have the very same problem and have made 2 calls to Customer Care with no help other than the suggestion that I wait for an email response showing it's status. I am at a loss as to what to do.
Can I get the number for these individuals that were so helpful. So far the two individuals that I have spoken with have been absolutely no help.
Same issues. Following.
Same issue, following.
I have the same issue. 941 e-filed on 1/3/22, 940 e-filed on 1/4/22. 940 has been submitted and accepted by IRS...941 still showing "Submitted to Intuit." I followed the advice to contact customer support, received my call back. After an hour on the phone with an agent, I was told it is awaiting approval in EFTPS. I don't understand that! EFTPS is for payments, filing forms. My payment did go through EFTPS, and has been settled. I was given a "Filing ID," and told I could check the status in EFTPS...this makes no sense. When I expressed my concern that he was referring to the payment, he again told me that the delay in my form 941 was because it is awaiting approval in EFTPS. I need to be ensured this form will be e-filed in a timely manner!!!
