Quickbooks online is printing the 1099 NEC's 2 to a page, instead of 3 to a page. Am I missing something?

I'd be glad to help with your concern about 1099s, JS12345.
I tried to print a 1099-NEC in my QuickBooks Online and I can see that it's printing 3 contractors per page.
Although, the Select a form type and print page is not yet updated and still shows 2 per page. You just need to disregard the picture or icon showing 2 per page and continue printing the form.
Our engineers were also made aware of the issue and are working to update the page accordingly. I'm also adding this IRS article for further details about 1099-NEC: Instructions for Forms 1099-MISC and 1099-NEC. It contains the complete set of instructions and the latest information about the form.
I'll also be adding a couple of articles as references when preparing your year-end tasks:

I printed my 1099 NEC, and I had to manually Align, I chose -3 Horizontal and 0 Vertical, and I was able to print!
Me too. We've been trying to figure this out for a few hours now.
Hi there, JS12345.
Thank you for visiting the QuickBooks Community. You should be able to print 3 page1099-NEC forms. If you're unable to view this option, let's check out our guide on printing 1099s in QuickBooks Online.
Additionally, sometimes your web browser can cause your printer not to print your 1099 forms correctly. Intuit recommends using Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. If printing still doesn't work on these recommended browsers, try these steps.
Chrome:
If it still doesn't align, on the print window, select the dropdown for More Settings to verify Fit to printable area or Fit to paper is not selected in the Scale dropdown.
Firefox:
When downloading as a PDF, if Adobe is not the application that opens the document:

That is not the issue. There is no selection to print on a 3 part form: I get 3 options:
1- 2 part nec form
2- 2 part misc form
3- 1096
I've attached a pic of the screen
Thank you for your help, unfortunately it didn't help. I'm attaching an image of what I see when I go to print 1099 NEC's. It's not an alignment issue, it's that they are not printing 3 to a page. They are printing 2 to a page. How do I fix this? Thanks.

Yes, thanks, mine print correctly too. Whew. Glad they are fixing the images and sample.
That's great news @JS12345.
Thanks for circling back to let us know you're able to print the 3 part 1099s.
Feel free to reach out any time we can help.
Have a great day!
I tried to print 1099- NEC today(01/14/2022), and it is printing 3 different contractors on the same page. I had to print one contractor at a time to have only one contractor on the same page instead of three different contractors.
Let's perform some troubleshooting to get this sorted out, Tina808.
You should be able to print 3 page1099-NEC forms per contractor. if you're unable to view this option, let's check out our guide on printing 1099s in QuickBooks Online. There are also times when a browser's cache data becomes full of frequent access to web pages or damaged. This causes the odd behavior when printing the 1099 NEC form in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To better isolate this issue, let's try signing in to your account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues. Here's how:
If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.

Please let me know if you have additional questions processing 1099s. I'll be here to answer them. You have a good one.
This is ridiculous - none of the suggestions work for me. Trying to print 1099-NEC and QBs prints two per page instead of three per page. Updated to current version so that is not the issue. One solution says just print and it will print correctly regardless of picture or preview - not true - it prints two per page!!!! HELP!!!!
Hello, HelenControl.

We are printing 3 per page now however it is not lining up in the boxes correctly. Numbers are going over the lines in several cases. If I line up the first one then the next 2 don't print right.
any suggestions?
Hey Forttax117,
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! Since you are having a printing issue, let's go ahead and run the QuickBooks Print &Print Repair Tool from the Tool Hub:
Once this program runs, attempt to print the forms again. I am leaving this article that has more information about troubleshooting printing problems.
Let me know if you were to print the forms! I will be delighted to assist you further if the issue persists. Take care for now!
I tried changing the print setting and ran the QB print and pdf repair tool, and my 1099s are still skewed when I print them.
Mine are skewed, too. The top one will print fine but then the second one prints over the line and the third one even more so. I was having this issue with the desktop version but was able to print fine from QB online, suddenly today I'm having the same problem there!! I want to cry!!!
Thanks for bringing this up in the QuickBooks Community page, @Michelejohnson & JS12345.
If you're still getting the same result after performing the steps above, I'd recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Phone support. They have the tools that can check your account and provide additional troubleshooting steps or get this escalated for a fix.

I have the same problem. I have tried all of my print setting "hacks" and I still have a problem. My payer's name box information will print just barely touching the "red" words on the top 1099-NEC, the middle one is higher and encroaches the "red" words more, while the bottom NEC is encroaching even more. I was able to get them close with the "print to paper" box checked (unlike the advice provided saying to not check this box - this has the best... result, but still not a workable result). My MISC and 1096's printed beautifully. And so far so have my W-3/W-2's.
Yes, I'm using desktop version. I'm to the point where I'm wishing I still had a typewriter!
I printed my 1099 NEC, and I had to manually Align, I chose -3 Horizontal and 0 Vertical, and I was able to print!
We use Quickbooks Enterprise and there is absolutely NO OPTION to print 3 per page as the new IRS Forms allow for! What a joke! Now I have to HAND WRITE 100's of 1099's. Thanks Quickbooks!!!!!
Good Morning @Impact1.
Thanks for checking in with the Community regarding 3 per page 1099s. I'd like to help you get the update so that you can print them. All QuickBooks Desktop versions 2019 or newer should have the ability to print 3 per page 1099s if the most current update has been done.
To confirm which release you have, hit the F2 button when logged in to QuickBooks, this opens the Product Information screen, look at the release version extension...it'll be the underscore and a number.
If your product information shows the release version and extension listed above or higher, you’re good to go and have the capability to print the 3 part 1099 forms. If your product release and version is lower than those listed, you’ll need to update your QuickBooks.
It’s important to make sure to update QuickBooks to the latest release. I've outlined the steps below:
Once you’ve gone through the update process, hit F2 again and confirm the release version and extension has updated. If not, try updating again.
A few things to keep in mind:
Please let me know how it goes, and feel free to reach out with any additional questions. I'll keep an eye out for your reply.
Thanks!
We are using QBs Enterprise Desktop on a network - still cannot print three to page. I am attaching two screen shots of our system - Tech says he updated everything - can you check versions?
Good Morning Helen,
Thank you for reaching out to the Community and providing those screenshots. To protect your information, I went ahead and deleted your first screenshot, but I was able to see your updates. I want to believe that your Critical Fixes (ULIP) didn't install. But no worries, this can be done by following the steps below:
That should help! However, if the issues continue, let's repair QuickBooks Desktop. I am leaving this resourceful article to assist with this!
Please let me know if you were able to get through with the update! I will be here if you need additional assistance. Take care for now.
