Cant Sign into account. Account keeps getting locked

Hello,

 

I am using another account to post this since I am locked out of the other one.

 

I recently signed up for a quick books online account yesterday.  After being signed out yesterday, I tried to sign into the account and it says "Unfortunately, there is no QuickBooks Online company or QuickBooks Accountant account associated".   Despite the fact that I literally signed up for it yesterday and Quick books did charge my account yesterday for the membership fee.

 

I Logged out and sign in again and I got the same result. I tried changing the password for the account, tried to sign in, then it locked out the account. I wait for the 15 minute wait to be over, and tried to sign in again, but after attempting one sign in attempt it  locked the account again.  I even tried doing it from a different browser and I got the same result.  I tried going to the support page to contact support, but It asks me to log into the account first, which I cannot do SINCE I CANNOT LOG INTO THE ACCOUNT.

 

I tried calling the intuit support number, greeted by the talking bot and it just told me that I can ONLY find help If I click on the help icon when I log in to quick Books(I cant Do this since I am UNABLE TO LOG IN), it then stated that I will not be able to contact QuickBooks support through the general phone line. 

 

Please, Assist, I need to use quick books to manage the books of my business. Please Assist.

I have some information on how to recover your login information. If you have access to the phone number or email address on file, you can get back into your account within minutes. Let me walk you through how.

 

  1. Go to our sign in help page.
  2. Enter the phone number, email address, or user ID for your account. Or, select Try something else and answer other questions about yourself. Then tick Continue.
  3. Check your phone or email for a message from Intuit or QuickBooks. Type in the code we sent, or follow the instructions in the message. We may ask you for a little more info to make sure it’s really you.
  4. When prompted, reset your password.

After logging in, you can change the email address if you need to. Check out this guide for details about: Recover your account when you can't sign in.

Cant Sign into account. Account keeps getting locked

Hi @ShiellaGraceA,

 

The Account finally managed to unlock itself, I was able to login back into the original account. Which is the one I am posting from right now. However, I am now back at square one with the original problem.   Here is a screenshot of what I was talking about.

As you can see, it still says "Unfortunately, there is no QuickBooks Online company or QuickBooks Accountant account associated with XXXXX".   I know I did sign up for a QuickBooks online account, because I  checked my debit card account, and I did receive a charge for the membership fee.  Plus I was using it yesterday until it signed me out. Again, when I signed back in, I got this error. 

 

Is there anyway to resolve this?

Let me step in and assist you in signing in to your account.

 

You can perform basic troubleshooting to see if it's a browser issue or not. This way, you can clear the outdated file that causes a small problem with your bank feeds.

 

Please open your QuickBooks via a private browser.

 

Here's how:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P

 

Then, check your task list on your dashboard. If you're able to do so without any errors, you can switch back to the main browser to clear the cache. You can also try using other browsers to isolate browser-related issues.

 

If the issue persists, you can contact our QuickBooks Support. This way, we can check your login credentials and accounts in QuickBooks Online.

 

You can follow these steps on how:

 

  1. Go to the Help icon.
  2. Click the Contact Us button.
  3. Enter your concern in the field, then hit Let's talk.
  4. Select either Start a chat or Get a call.
  5. Fill up all the information needed.
  6. Click Submit or Confirm my call.

 

Note: The support hours of Plus, Essentials, or Simple Start are from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PMMonday to Friday. Then 6:00 AM - 3:00 PM on Saturday. And, if you're using the Advanced version, you can contact us any time on any day.

A few years ago I had qb to manage my business payables and receivables. However, I closed the business and stop using the service for awhile. Yesterday, I tried to create a new account since I'm back in business. I explained to the sales person who was helping me (Matthew Whoriskey) that the email I was about to use as my new user was also used in the pass for my old account. He said that there would be no problem linking the old account with the new one; and I would start fresh (even though I was using an old email/account info) but I also would have access as viewer only of the old stuff on that account. However, it's being a nightmare! I could not log in to the account so far. I tried tecnical support since Matthew no longer wants to help and provide a solution, but either sales or technical support department was able to help me. I spent hours and hours with them on the chats and nobody was able to give me access to my account. My card on the other hand was already billed!!! Im paying for a service Im not receiving!!! Based on technical support, it was a mistake to use my old email /old account to create this new one. Here is exactly her words: "They shouldn't have told you that, unfortunately. Any email used with an old account for QBO, can't be used on a new account or it will mess up. You will need to do an email change request form and create a brand new email, using yahoo, gmail, or whatever you want to use. I am sorry you were told different. Our Sales agents don't know about stuff like that. They just sell people new accounts" - April C.
I tried to follow her instructions to change the email to a new one and that did not work either!!!!
Im Very unsatisfied. I want my money back!!!

Please know this isn’t the kind of experience I want to have with us. Allow me to share with you some insights about using the same email to your new account.

 

QuickBooks lets you have multiple companies under the same QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This way, you can easily switch between accounts and manage them easily. That being said, you can use the email and login credentials you used for your old account. You can also check this article for more details: Create or add another company file to QuickBooks Online.

 

Also, know that each company file is its own paid subscription, but you access them with the same sign-in info. When you sign up for a new QBO account, enter the same email address and you’ll be prompt that “This user ID is already taken”, click Sign in to start with your new account. 1.JPG

 

Once done, you’ll be prompted on which account to use. I’ve added an image below for your visual reference. 4.JPG
However, if you’re unable to log in to your account, I recommend reaching out to our Support team. I understand you’ve already contacted them. However, they are the ones who have access to securely check your account and investigate this. They can also make some adjustments to your billing if needed.

I cannot activate my QuickBook debit card for my business it's saying my account is locked but it doesn't say it anywhere on the website so I don't know what's going on please help me please

Making sure that you'll be able to use your QuickBooks debit card is our top priority, Darlenegossett1983.

 

Generally, you'll get a debit card after you signed up for QuickBooks Payments, and is approved with a QuickBooks Cash account. Have you already used your card before it was locked? If so, I recommend reaching out to our support team so they can verify the reason why QuickBooks Cash was deactivated. They have the tools to pull up your account in a secure environment. Here's how to reach out to them.

  1. Select the Help menu.
  2. In the Assistant window, enter Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your brief concern in the field.
  4. Type in/click I still need a human until you see the Get help from a human option.
  5. Choose a way to connect with our support.

You can also call the number on the back of your QuickBooks Debit Card to dispute a transaction. You might consider checking out the QuickBooks Payments FAQ for additional information.

This is what is happening to me.  I get a message that Inuit does not recognize my account.  Ironically, when I wanted to comment here, I had to sign in.  Intuit said it recognized both accounts (I only have one) and I got logged into this area to comment.

Tomorrow is the first work day of the month.  I had intended to do my billing. The last time this happened, about a year ago, it took me an entire work day to get back on.  I worked on the phone with techs who had no idea why this was happening.  And the email account I originally had was closed so I cannot even look at the old email.  

Four years I have put up with things that don't work on intuit.  Once I get on so I can get all my data, I'm done.  I wish you worked this hard to keep out the bad guys instead of  your customers.

It worked on Friday.  It worked every day for approximately a year.  Why would it be a server problem.  You have chose this day to do your periodic check to see if I am who I say I am.  I have inserted a half dozen of your security codes.  I am not taking the time to fill in all of my info again.  Four years.  Why can't you just let me work.  And this system, you send me a reply that is two years old.  At least when I did this a year ago, I got to have a current communication with a robot.
