Good Morning,
Thank you for your response! Yesterday afternoon [01-09-19], I was trying to pay a vendor and clicked on all the invoices required and when I clicked on the Pay Selected Bills button, an "Apologize ... " message was posted asking for details and the code #15005 83803 and immediately shut down. Restarting the computer did not help. Trying to log onto different computer today received the same error notation.
I need to complete paying the Vendors today; I hope you can assist me.
Thanks again,
Kathryn Ofc Mgr

I was trying to open and fill out the Federal 941 Quarterly form and two things happened in rapid sequence: 1--a message that updates were downloading, and that stuck at 99%. 2--immediately after the window in #1 showed, another one showed that said "The file you specified cannot be opened....(see screen shot) and when I clicked OK, it refreshed the same message, and this would happen indefinitely. I have to go to Task Mgr and quit the QB task to escape from this hell. So, I did a QB rebuild and got Error 179, for which I can find no description/explanation. Why bother having an error with a number if there is no listing of errors by number?!
Hello, @Pinotbob.
I'm here to help fix this error so you can open your 941 forms in QuickBooks.
This error usually appears if the file is incorrectly read. Let's try attempting the following steps below to get this fixed:

Hi. I recently installed qb pro 2019 but I am unable to do a backup of the 2014 version when updating the company file. If I try to do a local backup or verify and rebuild data I'm getting the error code -6143, -301.
I'll help you get around this error, Tamar.
We'll try a few steps to get rid of it.
First, let's download the QuickBooks File Doctor on your computer. This tool fixes -6000 errors.
Next, let's rename the .ND and .TLG files. Once these files are corrupted, you'll encounter -6000 errors. These are configuration files that allow the software to access company file in a network. Here's how:
Then, open a sample company file. This helps us isolate the issue. We're testing if the problem lies with your file or the software application. Here's how:
Lastly, copy the file on the Desktop. By doing this, we're checking if there is a problem with the company file location. Here's how:
You can keep us updated after trying these steps. We'll be along straightaway to help you out.

I am backing up on Quick Books. It will not backup my pictures and part of my other files. It does back up QB
Thanks for joining the thread, Me31.
I'd be happy to provide some clarification regarding the backup feature in QuickBooks.
Pictures, attachments, and other files that you use are saved in a different folder where your QuickBooks data is located. That's the reason why they're not included during the backup.
That said, if you need to back them up, you'll need to manually do it by saving it on a different folder on the same location, or on an external drive. For additional insight about this, I recommend following this article: Create backup of the QuickBooks Desktop company file
Please let me know if you need further clarification about this, or if there's anything else I can do for you. Thanks again for dropping by, wishing you all the best!
