Access/use of my QBDT company file AFTER the subscription expires

Running QBDT Premier Plus Contractor Ed  2024

Product # [Removed]

Subscription expires June 8.  Will we be charged a month in advance (on May 8)?

What IF we decide NOT to renew the subscription.

I know this is a long time ongoing question/issue, but I've seen multiple different answers.

I need to know if I will have access and will be able to USE my company file in QBDT after the subscription expires.    There's no network connection and the  online connection (webconnect) to my QBDT company file has been disabled.

I don't care about the online bank feeds, online back up or any other function using an internet connection.

We are a very small business, no payroll, no nothing but bare bones QBDT database, which I have spent unknown hours setting up and entering data manually.  And I intend to continue to do so.

So, if someone knows the correct answer to this question, please share.  Thanks very much.

Access/use of my QBDT company file AFTER the subscription expires

I understand the importance of using your company file after the subscription expires, Victoria. I'm here to share insights about this.

If you decide not to renew your subscriptions, you have view-only access for one year. This means you won't be able to modify your data with an inactive license. Your company file will remain on the device, but you'll need to re-activate the service, so you can open or view the data.

The availability of view-only mode in QuickBooks Desktop is dependent on your subscription plan.

  • QuickBooks for Mac Plus 2024 and newer

You can check this article for more information: Renew your subscription or use view-only mode.

@victoriah1956

I don't care about the online bank feeds, online back up or any other function using an internet connection.

If you don't pay the renewal fee on June 8, you will access your data in read-only mode for the next 1 year. You can't modify anything and your program will lock you out after 1 year. If you don't need to run any add-ons (e.g QB Payroll, QB Payment), you should contact @Fiat Lux - ASIA. They can share an option to consider.

Access/use of my QBDT company file AFTER the subscription expires

So, I have emailed @FiatLux and asked them to contact me.

From my research, these authorized reseller companies who have purchased tons of these licenses for QBDT versions are reselling the license, but keeping their name on the license that they sell.  So, it's not technically my license, it's "our" shared license.  Correct?

And being a shared license, I'm assuming they can also force anyone who has purchased from them to do exactly what QB/Intuit is doing - forcing a subscription.  or whatever else they wish to do.

(they/them = anyone who resells these licenses)

Does anyone know of any company that resells the QBDT licenses nonsubscription outright?

Thanks for any info.

@victoriah1956

We can help with obtaining a license and you will be CAMPS' Primary Contact. Unless you can prove otherwise. You can contact me again to make sure. Only scammers offer QB Desktop 2024 with non subscription licenses.
