I have been trying to cancel my online subscription for a few days now and the website keeps saying it can't do it and to try back later. This is unbelievably frustrating, and is really enforcing my decision to never use this program again. Why you don't have customer service, I will never know.

As long as you're the admin user and you're using QuickBooks Online (Simple Start, Essentials, Plus or Advanced), you shouldn't have any issues with canceling the subscription. You can also try using a private browser or an incognito window when trying to cancel the account.

I can see that clearing your browser's cache still doesn't give you the option to cancel your subscription successfully. I'd recommend contacting QuickBooks Online Care team. They have the tools to validate your account and cancel the subscription for you.

i too have had a nightmare trying to cancel. i have been in touch by phone. rep could not cancel. was on chat, given a case number and then the fee came out of my account. i contacted chat again as i was instructed and gave the case number. then i was told it wasn't cancelled. and to wait for an email which i still have not received. all i want to do is cancel. what is the problem ?

I'd also suggest contacting our Customer Care Support, so you'll be added to the list of affected users. Thay way, you'll be notified whenever an update is available. Reach them through this link: Contact Phone Support.

I have been trying to cancel our Assisted payroll subscription since 2.6.24. I have submitted online forms, called, chatted and done online screen sharing. This has rendered our company helpless for 4 weeks!!! Today I was told NOONE at QB knows how to get this to go thru so we have no choice but to outsource our payroll.
That's ludacris!!! And they told me that I simply have to wait until their system can somehow communicate with itself and figure this out and cancel. Is there anyone there that truly knows what's going on and can make this happen?

If somebody says that something crashes, the copy-paste stock answer is not correct.
OR, instead of all that blah blah blah...
HOWABOUT the intuit website does not intentionally block the Cancel Subscription page.
Every other page works perfectly. ONLY the page that loses the company MONEY is not functional.
They are preventing you from canceling because it would cost them money.
There is no legitimate situation where the support team cannot cancel an account.
Magically, there is no working method to quit this company!
They are scamming you. Straight up.
