I'll share the steps on how you can merge or combine your American Express cards. If you're currently tracking multiple American Express cards as individual's accounts, you can switch and track everything in one parent account. First, you'll have to disconnect all of your individual American Express accounts and make them a sub-account of your parent American Express account. Your parent should be the only account connected to online banking.
To disconnect:
After disconnecting the other individual account, let's make them a sub-account by following these steps.

We currently have 2 cards on our AMEX account. The parent card, and one additional card. If we disconnect the second card from the bank feed, how do we get the transactions assigned to the correct card? Won't they all come through the bank feed onto the parent card?
We had both cards connected to the bank feed, and the transactions on the second card were coming through twice - once on the second card, but also on the parent card. Please help!
Our company is considering getting additional cards for multiple employees. We need to get this figured out before that happens. Thank you.
I’m here to provide insights about managing multiple accounts in QuickBooks, @shartz.
Before connecting to Online Banking, you need to know how your bank sends the downloaded transactions. If the transactions download to one account, connect only the parent. Otherwise, you should link the subaccounts when the transactions download to the individual accounts.
Since transactions go through both AMEX cards, you'll want to connect only the parent. Then assign the entries to the correct category.
You can follow the outlined steps below to disconnect the second card.
You can read this article to learn more about the parent and subaccounts setup: Bank or credit card subaccount setup.
I’m adding this article to ensure the amounts match your actual bank and credit card statements: Learn the reconcile workflow in QuickBooks. It includes steps to fix balance issues and ways to modify completed reconciliations.
