Yes, you'll be refunded if you purchased an annual subscription for QuickBooks Online (QBO), Abdulwahab11. I'll share more details about this below.

You’re eligible for a refund under our satisfaction guarantee if you bought an annual subscription for QBO (doesn't apply to monthly subscriptions) and it's within 60 days of the purchase date. If you choose to cancel your newly bought (today) QBO account, it'll still be covered in our 60-day money-back guarantee. However, there are some exceptions. Please check our return policy for details.

To learn more about how to request a refund for a QuickBooks product you purchased, please see this article for more information: Request a refund for your QuickBooks product.

Once processed, the refund may take 7-10 business days if you used a credit card, debit card, or EFT (Electronic File Transfer). If it's beyond 10 business days and you haven't receive your refund yet. I'd recommend contacting our QuickBooks Customer Care team. They'll be able to pull up your account and check the status of your refund.

Additionally, once you've successfully switched from QBO to the desktop version, you may want to check out this article to help you get started: Get started with QuickBooks Desktop.

If you have further questions or other QuickBooks concerns, please let me know in the comments below. I'll be around to help you. Take care, Abdulwahab11.

switch from online to desktop version

I recognize the need to switch your QuickBooks subscription from online to the desktop program, Abdulwahab11. I've got insights to share about these programs.

Since there isn't data entered yet on your online account, you'll want to consider downloading the QuickBooks Desktop trial version to know which version works best for you and your business preference. Beforehand, please ensure your computer meets the minimum requirements to install QuickBooks. You may also visit this reference for more details about QBDT's plans and services: See plans and pricing.

If you permanently subscribe and use the QuickBooks Desktop program, you may cancel your QBO subscription and close your current online company account. To do that:

  1. Sign in to the Intuit Account Manager.
  2. Select Products & Billing and select your company name.
  3. Find the product you wish to cancel, then select Cancel subscription.
  4. You’ll see a multiple-choice survey on why you're canceling your subscription. Once you’ve filled it out, select Continue to cancel.
  5. You’ll see a page that details product benefits, and the last day you'll be able to use your subscription. Select Continue to cancel.
  6. A confirmation message will reflect to confirm the cancellation of your account. Then, select Got it.

Moreover, I'm sharing this guide to help you start managing your account in the desktop program: Get started with QuickBooks Desktop.

We'll always be available in this thread if you have additional questions about managing your subscription. Please feel free to leave them in the comments below. Keep safe!

@Abdulwahab11

Do you need to use QB Desktop or QB Online on your desktop (not on your mobile phone)?

Is your company located in the US or another country?

You can buy QB Desktop 2023 Pro Plus or Premier Plus through partners if required. They will release QB Desktop 2024 Pro Plus and Premier Plus next month with a higher price. If you only need to use QB Desktop for one user, you can use the trial version for good with a workaround.

Hi there, JenSueKansas

Thanks for joining this thread. I'm here to help you switch from QuickBooks Online (QBO) to QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

To switch or migrate your data, there are several steps that we need to follow. Let's start by downloading QBDT. Here's how:

  1. If you haven't already, download and install QuickBooks Desktop on your computer.
  2. Open QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Go to File and select Close Company. Leave QuickBooks open while you complete the rest of the steps.

Next, sign in to QBO and download the migration tool. Here's how:

  1. Sign in to the QuickBooks Online account you want to convert with a browser we support. Use your Intuit Account credentials.
  2. Click the URL and replace anything after /app/ with exportqbodatatoqbdt.  The URL should say https://app.qbo.intuit.com/app/exportqbodatatoqbdt. Then select Enter on your keyboard. Other support task links won't work during this process.
  3. You'll see Export Overview. Read the Export Overview, then tick Get Started.
  4. Select Download tool to download the migration tool.
  5. Once done, launch the tool to install it and select Next.
  6. Accept the terms in the license agreement, then Next.
  7. Click Complete as the type of setup, then Next.
  8. Hit Install, then Finish.

After installing the migration tool, check out this article and proceed to Steps 3 - to complete the process: Move your QuickBooks Online data to QuickBooks Desktop.

Things will look different after you export your data to QBDT. Get more info about what data does and doesn't export from QuickBooks Online.

Once done, you can refer to these articles for the detailed steps on how to set up multi-users in QBDT:

I'm also adding this article that tackles how you can manage your QBDT for future reference: Get started with QuickBooks Desktop.

Please let me know if you have additional questions about this or anything else. I'm always here to assist. Take care.
