I hope all is well. The error you're receiving can mean that your payroll subscription is inactive. You can reactive it by using our Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs) page. The steps below will show you how:
- Go to camps.intuit.com and sign in.
- On the Manage your QuickBooks page, choose the product or service you'd like to manage.
- Under Product & Services, select the Payroll Subscription tile.
- You'll see your subscription status under the blue toolbar, which should be Canceled.
- Press the Resubscribe link and validate your information in the Reactive Subscription field.
- Hit Save and Continue, then review the Subscription details and billing information. Push Reactivate.
- A pop-up message will confirm the reactivation of your subscription, and you'll need to click Got it!
Keep in mind that it can take up to 24 hours to fully complete the process, and your subscription will show Active when it's finished.

After you resubscribe, you'll also want to make sure you have the latest QuickBooks Desktop release and download the latest payroll tax table release.
