Hello buffalobillsrentals, welcome to QuickBooks Community!

I'll walk you through editing the Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave in QuickBooks Online Payroll.

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Payroll Settings.
  3. Next to Washington tax, select Edit to view your rates.
  4. To adjust the rate, next to WA Paid Family and Medical Leave Premium ER Rates select Change or add new rate.
  5. From the dropdown menu, choose the new rate and enter an Effective Date.
  6. Hit OK to save.

For further guidance, we can visit and click this article: Set up Washington Paid Family and Medical Leave.

The articles below will serve as additional reference about managing Washington (WA) workers' compensation. Also, you can run payroll reports according to your needs.

If you have more concerns about tracking paid family and medical leave in Washington, let me know anytime. I'll be around to back you up. Stay safe, and have a good one.

Thank you for the response.

I had done that path but in the drop down there are only 2022 choices and no 2023 choices yet.

The dropdown menu only has 2022 amounts choices. How do I input the new rates?

Hello, buffalobillsrentals.

If the option isn't visible on your end, make sure the effective date for 2023 it falls on a quarter boundary. Otherwise, we don't have an option to change it.

Also, let's try signing in to your account using a private or incognito window. This mode doesn't use the existing cache data and helps us confirm browser-related issues.

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

If it works, go back to your regular browser and clear the cache to delete those temporarily stored files and browsing history. The overtime collection of data can create corruption, however, removing this should fix the issue. You can also use other supported, up-to-date browsers to roll out the possibility of a browser-related issue.
