Hello ExpressGarbage,

There's another way how to reactivate your subscription online. Please follow these steps:

  1. Go to CAMPS by clicking on this link: camps.intuit.com.
  2. Log in with your Intuit account info.
  3. Select the tile for QuickBooks Desktop. Note: If you can’t find QuickBooks Desktop, select Find by email. It’s possible your Desktop app or service is registered with a different email address.
  4. Select the Notification (bell) icon at the top.
  5. From the list, find the suspended subscription, and select the link to reactivate.
  6. Enter or update your payment info.
  7. Select Save and Continue.
  8. On the summary window, make sure all info is correct, then select Reactivate.

If you can't still reactivate the service, please reach out to us. We'll reactivate it for you. Click on the Help menu, choose QuickBooks Desktop Help, and click on Contact us

Let us know if you have more questions. Thanks!

So under the bell there is nothing to click on. On the top right corner it says active?? Payment was already ran a month or so ago. We have a receipt to prove it. It says that the renewal date is March 2020... I feel like we did our part and is just hasnt updated in the system.

Hello there, @ExpressGarbage.

I appreciate you following the solution provided by my colleague. Allow me to step in for a moment and help make sure this issue gets taken care of.

Since you’ve verified that your account is showing active when logging in to CAMPS, it’s possible that a damaged paystub.ini file is behind the alert. Let’s delete it so QuickBooks can recognize that you have renewed the subscription.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Help menu and click Update QuickBooks.
  2. Click the Options tab and locate the Download Location
  3. Copy the location and go there. Enter paystub in the search field then press Enter.
  4. Right-click on the file, then Delete. Delete all the paystub files found.

Once done, revalidate the service key. To do that, follow the steps below:

  1. Inside QuickBooks, press CTRL + K on your keyboard.
  2. Copy, remove, then reenter the service key.
  3. Click Next until you reach the Finish button.

Now, you need to run a payroll update to refresh the payroll settings. Follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Employees menu and select Get Payroll Updates.
  2. Select Download Entire Update, then click Update.
  3. A window appears when the download is complete.

Here’s how to contact us:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the top of your QuickBooks account.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help from the drop-down.
  3. Click Contact us.

That should do it. Let me know how the call goes. I’m always here to help if you need further assistance. Have a good one!

Good day, 5girls3boys. Let's get your subscription activated.

Once you purchased a QuickBooks account, you can operate the program anytime. If you're trying to activate your subscription, here are the outlined steps to complete the process:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Click Help at the top menu bar and select Activate QuickBooks Desktop.
  3. Follow the steps on the screen to verify your information.

However, if you're trying to activate your payroll subscription, you can refer to this article: Activate QuickBooks Desktop Payroll. It will provide you the step-by-step process on how to turn on the service. On the same link, you'll find other resources to help you manage your employees and other payroll-related concerns.

Additionally, to keep your account organized, check out this article: Manage your QuickBooks Desktop subscriptions and services. This will provide you more information on what other details you can find here regarding product-related concerns.

If you're referring to something else, please let me know. I want to make sure you're able to activate your subscription and start running your normal business processing. I'd be happy to help you whenever I can.

Cannot activate subscription. It says my account is restricted

Thanks for getting back to us, @5girls3boys.

You'll have to make sure that you're the master admin, external accountant, and secondary user that have full access to the payroll setup. This might be the reason why you can't activate the subscription and says that the account is restricted.

To change the user access and roles, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to the Company menu, then select Set Up Users and Password, and then Set up Users.
  2. Select Add User or Edit User.
  3. Fill out the User NamePassword, and Confirm Password fields, then select Next.
  4. On the Access for user: (username) window, choose which area of QuickBooks the user has access to, then select Next.
    1. If you choose Selected areas of QuickBooks, you can customize the restrictions for different areas of the company file for the newly created user by selecting No AccessFull Access, or Selective Access.
  5. Hit Finish.

For more details, you can check out this article: QuickBooks Desktop Users and Restrictions.

Once done, you can follow the steps shared by my colleague Rose-A on how to activate your subscription.
