Join nowI'm attempting to run payroll and print all checks at once, but due to some current hardware limitations I need to produce the checks on one computer (already done) and then log in from another computer and print the checks that are waiting to print.
Problem is that they don't show up in the print queue. So to do this I would have to open and print each check individually, which is more work than running payroll to start with (and thus back to hardware limitations and that's not really an option that will work).
Is there a specific reason that the payroll checks are not added to the print queue? (I'm not selecting the manual check option, btw). And is there another way to automatically print all the payroll checks if not?
Welcome to the Community space, dcg1080.
I appreciate you providing detailed information about what you've done so I can give you the most accurate details.
When running payroll in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you'll need to mark the Print paychecks on check stock radio button.
Doing so, after you run payroll, you'll be prompted for the next step, which is to Print & Distribute Paychecks. From there, you can print paychecks and see the paychecks to be printed.

If done printing the checks, you can remove them from the print queue. To do this, here's a resource that you can read for a guide: Remove paychecks from the print queue.

The print on check stock option is selected.
On the next window, since I didn't want to print checks right then, I would just click close, which would add all the checks to the check register numbered as "To Print"
But none of these checks are then in the print checks queue.

I am having the same issue and do not see an answer.
Hello, NB145.
Here's a reason why there aren't any checks from the queue, and I'd be glad to help you fix this.
The Print later box must've been unchecked, which is why there aren't any checks in the print queue. In this case, simply open the existing checks you want to print, then check the box.
You can find more details about printing checks here.
If the same thing happens, I suggest reaching out to our Customer support team. They will be able to check your account in secure ways and review your setting and why you're aren't any checks to print checks in the queue.
