OK, so its pretty much the end of the day. NONE of our employees have received their money and we need some answers. Who can we call? What do we have to do in order get our employees their money? People depend on their direct deposit on friday to pay bills and feed their children. What do we need to do in order to get this fixed now. Not next week , now. Or were gonna start looking into other options for our payroll, a company that has a support team availabe that will actual provide support for their paying customers.
This is not the impression I want you to experience, @britt8727.
Rest assured your employees should expect to see the funds available in their bank account by end of the day today. Also, we currently have a high contact volume both via phone and chat. Please bear with us and know that our representatives will be happy to help you once they reach you.

Hi there,
Once you've processed the direct deposit two banking days before the check date, employees should expect to see the funds available in their bank account by end of the day today.
We know how critical each paycheck is to your team. This is, even more, the case in our current environment. Thank you for your patience as we focus to ensure your employees’ funds are available as soon as possible.
I'm just a few clicks away if there's anything else you need. I'll ensure you're all set. Wishing you all the best in everything that you do.

I know the importance of getting your employees paid on time, @Sprouse48.
Let's perform some steps to check and verify the status of your direct deposit (DD). I'll be glad to guide you through the steps.
You can also see this article for more details: How to check your direct deposit setup status.
Additionally, you can also contact our Support team. They have the tools to securely check your account and investigate the reason for the delay. Ensure to review their support hours to know their availability.
I'm also attaching this link for additional reference on how to handle DD issues: Fix direct deposit issues.
Moreover, you have the option to invite your employees to the workforce and let them view their paycheck online. To be guided, feel free to utilize this resource: Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce to see pay stubs, W-2s and more.
You can always count on me if you have other questions about your employee's DD. It's always my pleasure to keep you running your business seamlessly. Have a great week ahead!
The account information we set up for our employees all say Direct Deposit pending. Why would it still be pending if we entered the information 2 weeks ago? Our employees need to be paid today, can I e-transfer them the money?
Also, I thought Quickbooks makes the Direct Deposit automatically or do we need to run the payroll every 2 weeks?
The employees started working September 13 but the payroll period says it started on Sept. 11? Is this correct?
Hi Helen889!
Thanks for joining this thread. Let me assist you with the direct deposit payroll.
When setting your direct deposit, you need to verify the bank account you linked. This is to ensure that we'll be able to debit the funds when you pay your employees. A small test transaction will appear on your bank statement two business days after you connect it and you need to confirm that amount in QuickBooks Online Payroll. This could be the reason why your direct deposit is still pending.
Once done, you only need to enter the employee's bank account information and you can now pay them. Check this link and follow the detailed steps:
Also, you can only pay your employees electronically if you have an active direct deposit. You'll want to temporarily pay them with a paper check.
QuickBooks Online Payroll offers an option to run your payroll automatically if you're subscribed to Core, Premium, or Elite. You'll need to turn on this feature since it's not on by default:
Here are the articles about Auto Payroll. This will show you how to set up, use, and the things to remember when using this feature:
With regards to the payroll period, it depends on what date you have selected as the starting date. Although, you can change it by following these steps:
I suggest you review these articles too. These will explain how to set up your payroll and will discuss the basic processes and your obligations as an employer:
