I used to work on 2021 Accountant Desktop. I tried to upgrade to 2022 today. I downloaded the software, followed the installation process and at the end installation was complete but I can't open Quickbooks and I can't see its Icon anywhere in my computer.
See the attach image. This is the last message I received after installation is complete and it doesn't allow me to open the program. Help please

I was having the same issue and had to call support. Reinstall the software and instead of express installation, use Custom. Make sure the correct radio button is selected for the proper installation. Generally the default is the first radio button, but for some reason, the default on Premier 2022 seems to be the third radio button. Hopefully this helps!
Did you try to hit the Close button and find a new executable icon to run it on your home screen?
Of course I did

Any solution to this? I have the same exact issue.
What I see is that there seems to be several folders missing from C\Program Files\Intuit directory. The install process was pretty fast, so something is blocking it from performing the full installation.
I did try the Tool Hub and it did not work.

I cannot get it to open either and I have tried several! things.

I agree with all of the above. I tried installing QuickBooks Desktop Accountant from my software downloads online. Went through all the prompts on 2 different computers. At the end of the installation the "Open QuickBooks" button is grayed out and there is no icon on my desktop. It does however add "QuickBooks Server 2022" to my add or remove programs list. That is the only evidence I can find that it installed something but it sure wasn't QuickBooks Desktop. I installed it 3 times in a row on one machine thinking there was a one-time fluke. This is not the case it is a consistent issue.
see Kotto 's response, it worked!
Had the same issue. This solution resolved it. Defaults to network install only so doesn't install full program. Use custom and choose correct option.
Easiest solution is to install custom and choose and then you get your software to work...the directions given did not work for me. Took less time my way.
This is the same thing that happened to me. How do I fix it?
Gary Pigg
See the solution described by kotto.
I was experiencing the same problem. Would go through installation, but not be able to find QB 2022 after doing so.
I contacted QB support and they quickly determined that I am running a 32-bit version of Windows 10, but that the software now only works on 32-bit versions:
"the reason why you are not able to install the software is because 2022 is not compatible with Windows 10 32 bit. You may check the system requirements below for Quickbooks 2022. Article : https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/install-products/system-requirements-for-quickbook..."
This doesn't work because the install package isn't loading the wizard to select the custom options!
Open a company file that has your payroll subscription active. Update payroll, then open the file that you want to add to your subscription.
Yes i tried all the solutions and still can not open the Desktop Account 2022 files.
