Just bought a new computer with Windows 11 on it and every-time I try to install it, it says invalid Product # and Serial #, Just want to know if it is compatible?
Good morning, @IPMTCH21.
Thanks for reaching out to the Community for support and sharing your concerns.
Our QuickBooks Pro 2019 version is compatible with Windows Server 2011. It sounds like you might be inputting the incorrect product number for your version of QuickBooks. That said, I wanted to ask if you had the 2019 version installed on a different computer before this installation?
If so, you'll want to ensure you're using the same license and product numbers that are listed for the last installation. You can locate the license and product number by opening QuickBooks and hitting the F2 key at the top of your keyboard. The numbers will be listed in the upper left corner of the pop-up screen.
Each time you upgrade QuickBooks (2018, 2019, 2020) the product number will change for each new release. Whereas, the license number will remain the same.
However, if you're using the same product number as you did in your last 2019 installation, I recommend we go through a few troubleshooting steps I've included below.
Let's run the QuickBooks install Diagnostic tool. This tool is designed to scan and resolve common installation issues.
If you continue to have issues installing, you can go through the steps included in our troubleshooting help article: Fix activation, license and product number errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
Please know that if you don't feel comfortable going through all of the steps listed in the help article, you can always contact our Technical Support Team. This way, an agent can screenshare with you and install QuickBooks for you.

Try installing it in compatibility mode Win 10.
I have same question. Your answer has two problems:
a) There has never been a product called Windows Server 2011 from Microsoft, so not sure what you are talking about. There was a Windows Home Server 2011 which is totally different from Windows 11.
b) QuickBooks Desktop 2019 Pro is actually a legitimate product. I am pasting a picture below from Help About.
So, please answer the question: Is QuickBooks Desktop 2019 Pro compatible with Windows 11? Note that Windows 11 is an upgrade of Windows 10 which Microsoft is slowly rolling out. I already have QB Desktop 2019 Pro installed on my laptop. If I upgrade to Windows 11, will it keep working?
I dare not upgrade to Win 11 until Q2/2022 at the earliest. QBD 2019-2022 doesn't yet support Win 11. Try installing and running your QBD 2019 in compatibility mode Win 10/Win 8 .
I upgraded to Windows 11 and QB works, at least I was able to launch the program, open the company file and do a backup of the company file. I do not use QB for any heavy duty work, just create weekly timesheet and keep track of payment from one customer. YMMV.
Thanks,
Arun
I suspect it could be that when validating the license# QB installer is also returning to intuit servers an operating system ID that the license is not associated to.
For others with it already installed and are upgrading to Windows 11 -- in theory the program should work for the most part BUT if you do any tasks that require you to open a browser within quickbooks 2019 it likely will not work because Windows11 finally killed off Internet Explorer. While you don't see IE11 on your desktop, it was still there behind the scenes for programs that needed its engine in order to run embedded browsers like what is done in quickbooks. For people that use merchant services or maybe bank feeds, this may be the deal breaker for you and you must upgrade.
Support for QB2019 ends in May 2022 so it has a lot going against it right now
I got a new computer and installed Windows Desktop Pro 2019 on my Windows 11 New Computer and get the following error.
Error 6150-1006
We're Sorry, but Quickbooks can't open your company file and the file isn't repairable.
Fortunately it still opens on my old computer.
Is there a fix for this?
I'll walk you through the process to get this resolved so you can get back to business, joemac07928.
The errors (6150 and 1006) suggest a data integrity issue. Usually, this can be caused by internal or external factors. To fix this, install QuickBooks Tool Hub version 1.6.0.3 and run the File Doctor utility.
When encountering unhandled exceptions, click Continue to ignore them and proceed with diagnosing data problems. Here's how to use it:
After that, open your company file again.

You can download the installer through our website, Benny. Let me walk you through the process.
Before proceeding with the download, ensure that you have a stable internet connection and that your web browser is up to date. You can go to this link to get the installer: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products. Then, fill in the necessary details.
You can check this article about locating your license and product number: Find QuickBooks Desktop license info.
Additionally, you can now activate your QuickBooks Desktop after installing.

Thank you! Such a simple and obvious solution. Quickbooks directs to download and run Tool Hub which doesn't work.
