I am trying to print a "Payroll Summary by Employee" report in QuickBooks online. I can see the whole report on my computer screen. It is landscape layout of 4 pages. I cannot print all 4 pages. The print function says "Print: page one", with no option to change that. I can only get the first of four pages. How can I print this whole report?
Pleased to have you here, @bielowicz3.
I’d be delighted to help ensure you’re able to print your payroll reports successfully.
When printing reports in landscape orientation, make sure to select All pages in the Print Preview page. Please refer to the screenshot below:
If the error persists, let’s apply the following troubleshooting steps to ensure that this is not browser related.

Thank you for your reply.
Unfortunately, I have tried all of these things (selected "all pages" in the print preview, used the incognito browser mode, cleared the cache of regular web browsers, ran the browser health checkup tool and troubleshooted) and it did not solve my problem. I am still printing only the page one of the report.
In regards to the suggestion that I should select "All pages" in the print preview page, I have attached a picture to show you that is what I have done.
Also, please note the very top of the attached where it says "Print.... Total: 1 sheet of paper" - this is an area of concern and it does not allow to be changed. I am pretty certain that this is a QuickBooks flaw that is not allowing me to print the whole report.
Glad to hear again from you, @bielowicz3.
Thank you for sharing with us a screenshot of what you are seeing on your end. Since you're still unable to print all the pages of your reports, let's try to download your payroll report and print it.
Here's how:

I'm having the same printing issue (only printing Page 1) in the QBO desktop app. Of course I can download it to Excel, but then I have to resize columns and rows, etc., which takes extra time. It would be a lot more convenient if Intuit would just fix the issue. The report QBO produces looks great and would work beautifully if only we could print it.
Hi there, Becky_BR.
Thanks for joining this thread. Allow me to help and provide some insights about printing a Payroll Summary by Employee report in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
We currently have an ongoing issue when printing Payroll Summary by Employee report and our engineers are already investigating and working for an immediate fix.
As a workaround, you can resize the columns and rows by exporting the report through excel so you can print the complete information. I also recommend calling our QuickBooks Online Support Team so they can add you to our notification list of affected users to receive live email updates about this issue.

QuickBooks follows the preferences set in your browser when printing reports. I recommend checking your browser's printer settings to make sure that they set up correctly.
Also, you can seek help from an IT professional in checking your printer settings to ensure that it’s working well.
If the problem is not with the printer, you can perform some troubleshooting steps for your PDF. Let me show you how:
If you’re able to print the local PDF, then you’ll also be able to successfully print your Payroll Summary report.
But if not, I recommend updating or repairing your Adobe Reader.
Feel free to read this article for more information: Test Sequence for PDF Printing Issues.
Please let me know if you have any other questions.
I agree with everything you said and I am having same issue!!!

I think we should be able to print the reports without having to do the extra work of exporting/screenshots, etc...
I am having the same issue. My report should be about 6 pages wide but it only prints to pdf the first page and the exporting to excel is an ugly report. Any fixes on this issue?
Thanks for looping in, @IraGal.
Have you tried the troubleshooting solutions shared by my colleagues to print the report? If so, and continue to get the same result, I highly recommend giving our Customer Care Team a call for assistance in creating a ticket.
They have tools capable of pulling up your account in a secure environment, which we are unable to do so here in the Community for security reasons. This will also provide engineers the data needed to look for the root cause, so they can apply a permanent fix to the printing issue.

This is THE WORST [removed] program ever. You can't make anything easy to do. Why the hell would anyone think the print option is on a pulldown menu under "Share" Can't make it easy to find, you have to hide it where NO ONE would even think to look.
I appreciate you joining this conversation, This_program_sucks.
Thanks for taking the time to voice your concerns here. This is certainly not the experience we want you to have. Rest assured that I'll send a request regarding this to our Product Developers. They're always looking for ideas from users on how to improve QBO.

Yeah "working around" a fix for this issue. It is now 2020-Mar-11 and still same problem persists. Quickbooks desktop for Canada is filled with problems for taxes and I thought I give quickbooks online a try and again is riddled with nothing but bugs and problems. At this point I don't even know why I am paying a monthly fee to tackle these problems..
Hello, @djlee0721. I appreciate your feedback about this issue.
This isn't the type of customer service I want you to have. This problem has already been escalated to our product engineers in which they are diligently working for a fix. At this time, we don't have a specific time frame when this issue will be resolved.
In the meantime, I encourage you getting in touch to our Customer Support team to add you the list of affected users. Once an update is available, you'll be notified via email. To contact them, you can follow the below steps:

And now, amid the virus, Small Business Admin loans are available and the SBA wants to see a summary of payroll by employee. The inability to print this report is one more stressor to my business. Export to Excel does not work as it sends it to Adobe. Print prints only one page of the multi page report. In a time of great stress and risk, this QB failure is one thing I ought not have to deal with.
I am having the same issue - and this is extremely disappointing given that the SBA Disaster Assistance programs require a report much like the one we are able to see on our screens...how hard can it be to make that printable? I agree with some of the comments - qbo is not use friendly and seems dedicated to making small tasks harder and more difficult. The theme I am getting from your replies is an attempt to blame it on the browser - however, if you shorten the report to 4 months (instead of an entire year), the report runs over one page and is easily produced...unfortunately, this method distorts the yearly/annual totals and makes it less than ideal.
This report printed fine in Quickbooks Desktop. I see over a year has passed with no action to improve the printability of the report. You can't print to PDF without cutting off data. Exporting to Excel looks terrible and requires many formatting changes to make it readable. Neither of these were issues in QB Desktop. If I could easily go back to desktop I would, and still might anyway. QBO isn't worth the hassle. Wish there was more competition in this space. Intuit is getting lazy.
Thanks but no thanks. I am sure in the end I will get a vague response saying “we will look into this asap”. I don’t to waste my time. It has been over a year since this request was posted and still no updates. That just goes to show the quality of products pumped out by intuit.
The best I've been able to do with Print to PDF is set print preferences, page size, to tabloid, apply & print - not good enough, but better than over a year of nothing from Intuit QB.
This is too easy & basic of a function to not get absolutely right.
Tomorrow morning I'm researching other bookkeeping software.
Any suggestions?
I found a workaround that made the printout work for my situation.
On the Chrome print screen dialog box, under More Settings there is a Scale section that lets you adjust the % of scale on the page. By backing this off until everything fits on the page, you can at least get all the data on the report - assuming your columns are not so voluminous as to be too small to read. Setting the margins to none and layout to landscape also helps.
