Emails not showing URL for payment

I have a user when they generate an email, the email tells the customer they can pay online with the link below but their is no link.  If I login as admin the link is put in the email.  They are both logged into the same account in payments so that isn't the issue.  The only difference between the two roles is the NON admin role doesn't have certain company preference access or file access for back, export, import, etc.  I have restarted the machine, reinstalled Mozilla Thunderbird.  I have not re-installed Quickbooks.

Any thoughts?

Emails not showing URL for payment

I appreciate the steps you've taken to resolve your emails not showing URL for payment issue, jimbofoxman.

Turning on invoice payments should allow your customers to pay their invoices online.

I've got another step you can perform to fix the issue. Log into the MSC and turn on/off L3 processing. To do so, please follow the steps below:

  1. Log into the MSC externally from QBDT.
  2. Go to 'Account -> Account Profile'...and scroll to the bottom.
  3. Select Edit for L3 Data Processing...and remove the check mark.
  4. Click Save.
  5. Re-link the data file with their Payments account (Customers -> Link Payment Service to Company File")

You can also check out this article to learn how you can help your customer pay online: What to do if customers can't pay their invoices online.

If the issue persists, I encourage reaching out to our Support Team so a representative can check and investigate this further.

Emails not showing URL for payment

This was a no go.  The same user still does not get a URL for payment when they generate an invoice to send VIA EMAIL.  Other users get a payment URL when they generate an invoice and send it via email.   I even deleted the problem user and recreated the account with the same exact permissions as another account and still cannot get a payment URL to generate inside the email, yet the other one does.

This is still a no go.  I did connected the L3 processing, reconnected it.  The one problem user cannot get a payment URL to generate despite any other user getting that payment URL inside the body of the email.

I even deleted the problem user, recreated the account and gave them the exact same permissions and still not happening.   All other users get the payment URL in the bodies of their emails.

Emails not showing URL for payment

Hello there, @jimbofoxman. I appreciate you letting us know the result of the troubleshooting steps you've performed on your end. I want to ensure this issue gets fixed.

Verifying and rebuilding your data is a good start when fixing transaction-related issues in QuickBooks Desktop. Let me show you how:

To Verify Data:

  1. Choose Window at the top, then Close All.
  2. Choose File.
  3. Hit on Utilities.
  4. Click Verify Data.

To Rebuild Data:

  1. Choose File.
  2. Click on Utilities.
  3. Hit Rebuild Data.
  4. You will receive a warning message to back up your company file, press OK.
  5. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed".

Once done, send an invoice again and see if the option to View and Pay Now button is there. However, if the problem persists, I'd suggest getting in touch with our QuickBooks Desktop Support. They have the tools required to perform any escalations in the system whenever necessary on your behalf.
