A company i support just upgraded to 2021 pro. They also use ESC for dispatching. In the past version 2015 everything on the server was up 24/7 With this new version they are having to restart everything each morning. Nothing will stay connected. Also the shortcut on the desktop I can not keep the check box in run as admin. They have to right click and run it as admin.
Hi there, @cubmanky.
Thanks for your first post here in the Community. I'm here to help you get past this issue and make sure you'll stay connected to the server.
Data damage on the company file can be the reason for this behavior. to fix this, let's download and run the QuickBooks File Doctor. Here's how:

Hi @cubmanky,
Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the issue with the update to the 2021 pro you had yesterday. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification?
If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.
Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!
I have this same issue!
I lost all the invoices for the past 2 months -- deposits were doubled as were some payments -- it is a complete mess and I am trying to rebuild as QB Data Protect wasn't backing up either!!!
I have been using Quickbooks for 30 years - since its DOS version and have never had anything like this happen. It is really upsetting.
I know experiencing data loss for invoices and payments is hard to deal with, EileenMu.
Have you created a backup copy before the data was lost? If so, we can restore a backup of your company file in QuickBooks. If not, we can run the Rebuild Data tool to fix any company file data issues. Here's how:

Which QB Desktop year version are you using? Have you tried to run QB Tool Hub to repair your file?
I'm using Desktop Pro Plus 2021 -- I was prompted to "upgrade" which I did -- and that's when this happened. I am now rebuilding last quarter's payroll files. This is nuts.
Not sure if my previous reply was saved - so I'll repeat it. I am using Desktop Pro 2021. I was prompted to "Upgrade" - and then "update" and when that was done I lost the last few weeks of data. My Data Protect was not backing up either which I hadn't known - had no reason to check.
I am now rebuilding the last quarter of payroll data -- re-reconciled my accounts for the past 2 months - reapplied payment to invoices that were lost -- is a drag.
I'd be saying the same thing if this happens to me, EileenMu.
We'll help you check to see what's going on with your data and to make sure this doesn't happen again the next time you upgrade. However, at this point, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Desktop Support. They can use more tools, like screen share, to check this further.
