I am currently using QB desktop system outside of US. I'm facing the problem of QB exits without any error code or notification more often than before. Every time i log in, QB is loading and before it finishes, it just closes immediately. I stopped updating my windows system, but the problem is still there. I tried closed the QBCF Monitor Service, but nothing changes... What could be the reason? And how could I solve this problem? I use QB everyday and this is causing a big headache for the company.

Which QB Desktop version (year) and Windows OS do you have?
Hi AlexV,
Thank you for your reply!
I used the QBwebpatch to check my update status, and it said it is the latest version. So I still don't know why my QB just closes on its own right after I log into the system....please help! thank you in advance.
Hi Fiat Lux - ASIA,
I'm using QuickBooks: Premier Manufacturing and Wholesale Edition 2019 Release R12P

Are you using Windows 8.1 or 10?
Try open your data file on trial license of QB 2020 Pro edition. Did encounter the same problem?
Thanks for getting back to us, @jennifer-kayenne.
If you already followed the steps shared by my colleague AlexV at the top and the issue persists, let's perform other troubleshooting steps to check if this is a data damaged.
That said, let's run the QuickBooks built-in diagnostic and repair tools called rebuild and verify data utilities. These tools will repair and notify you of any possible data damage within the file.
Here's how:
If QB detected no problem with your data, hit OK and close/reopen the program to double-check. However, if it finds an issue, you will be prompted to Rebuild Now or View Errors. Choose Close, then perform the steps below. Here's how:
For additional information about the process, consider checking out this article: Resolve data damage on your company file.
Please know that I'm only a post away if you have any other issues or concerns. I'll be more than willing to assist. Have a wonderful day!
Hello @FritzF ,
Thank you for getting back promptly! The thing with your suggestion is that I can't even "go to the File menu at the top to get to the Utilities and Rebuild Data. and do the rest of the steps".....because QB will automatically close on its own right after I log in, while the page is still loading, it will close it.... I can't even click anything.........
Let's get you back up and running, jennifer-kayenne.
Running the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic tool is a good start when it comes to fixing program-related issues.
Here's how:
Once done, restart your computer and open your QuickBooks again. You can refer to this article detailed steps and instructions: Fix QuickBooks Desktop install errors.
Additionally, you can go through these articles to other troubleshooting steps:

While working in QuickBooks, QuickBooks closes unexpectedly (crashes with or without an error)
Let me know if you have other questions or if you ran into a different situation below adding a reply below so I can look further into this. Have a lovely week.
Hi @Rose-A ,
Thank you for your reply, I did run through the QuickBooks Install Diagnostic tool, and QB was running longer than before (yay!! at least it didn't close on its own right after I logged in). Unfortunately, after I finished creating a sales order, and tried to print, QB closed on me again..... what can I do now??? please help, thank you
Hi @AlexV ,
I did what you suggested, but QB still closed on its own after i i logged in.... The photo below shows the image right before it closes, please help, thanks
I appreciate you taking the time to reach us back, @jennifer-kayenne.
Since the issue persists, I would suggest reaching out to our Technical Support Team to verify the main cause why QuickBooks won't open.
Here's how:
For more insights, you can visit the Support hours and types article. It contains an overview of how you can get a callback.
Feel free to post a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be sure to get back to you.
Prior to contact Support, you should isolate the issue. As I have mentioned earlier, opening your data on the trial license of QBD 2020 is a good start. You may define the rootcause on your data file, QuickBooks, or Windows.
Hi, QB system has quit on me again.....every time there's a pop up window, QB will close automatically.... I tried repair the system by going to control panel and followed the steps...but still nothing worked.... Please help! thank you in advance
Hi Alex,
QB has quit on me again.... somehow it worked for a while, but today, the same problem happened again... every time there's a pop up window, QB will close automatically..... I tried repair the system by going to control panel and followed the steps you mentioned before, but still nothing worked.... Please help!! Thank you in advance!
Jennifer,
Is the problem happening only when you try to open your particular data file? So if, for example, you were to double-click on the QB Desktop program, and *not* open your own file, and instead create a brand new dummy company; would that work OK?
While I'm here: you started this thread by mentioning that you're using QB "outside of the US". That really shouldn't matter *unless* you're trying to to install and run a US version of QB on a machine which already had had a non-US version installed (or vice versa). So what exactly do you mean by "outside the US"?
Thanks for getting back to us, jennifer-kayenne,
Since the issue still persists after doing troubleshooting steps suggested in this thread, I'd recommend reaching out to our Technical Support Team. They can help you isolate what's causing the issue. It is also possible that QuickBooks versions are having component compatibility issues because of the region differences. To sort this out, you can follow the steps on the previous responses to contact our support or use this link: Contact the QuickBooks Desktop customer support team.
We'll be right here if you need additional assistance.
Hi @thomas4
I tried creating a test company file, but there was an error.... i've attached a screenshot of the error message for reference.
I'm currently using the QB system in Asia, I'm not sure could it be the server problem or what.... but I've encountered this kind of problem from time to time... Sometimes it works just fine, but sometimes it just closes automatically right after I log in
Hi Jennifer,
I can't open that screenshot file. It seems to be damaged in some way.
Are you using QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online? I ask because at first you referred to "QB desktop system", but then you talked about a "server" and you are concerned about being outside the US, so that might mean you're on QB Online. Or is it that you are using QuickBooks Desktop but in multi-user mode, where the data file is stored somewhere else?
I'm going to assume you're not on QB Online -- the problems you're describing don't seem consistent with that. So here are three things to consider, assuming you're using QB Desktop.
Those are guesses though, since I'm still unclear as to exactly what your setup us. But maybe they'll give you something to consider.

Does the same error code persist from time to time?

Which QuickBooks US version do you have? e.g Premier 2020?
