Join nowWhen I try to create a 941 Form, I get an unrecoverable error message and QuickBooks closes. I wasted a ton of time on the chat and got nowhere and I've also used the QuickBooks Tool Hub and it didn't help. I've tried suppressing the file and recovering the file. Nothing is working. I've also tried to run as an administrator but QuickBooks wouldn't open when I did that. Anyone have any ideas?

I can help you fix unrecoverable data errors, Jessie17.
Here are a few reasons why an unrecoverable error can occur:
Before we can try other troubleshooting steps, ensure that you have the latest QuickBooks Desktop release and downloaded the latest tax table release. After the update is complete, try creating the 941 Form again. If you're still getting the same error, you can follow Solution 2: Suppress your QuickBooks Desktop at this link: Unrecoverable Error: General Troubleshooting Steps.

I'm just around the corner to keep an eye on your reply if you have other questions. Take care!
All updates have been done and suppressing the file doesn't resolve the issue. I've tried it multiple times.
I've also tried opening a sample file and it worked when I created the 941 form but my company file still doesn't work.
Thanks for getting back to us, Jessie17.
I appreciate the steps you've taken. Since the sample file worked yet, the company file still doesn't work, you'll want to use a recent backup or ADR to restore your file. If backup or ADR is unable to get you back on track, please perform basic data damage troubleshooting to help fix the issue.
If the issue persists, I would still suggest reaching out to us again so that one of our support can better checked on this. They have more tools, like screen-sharing and can help troubleshoot it for you.

The "Support Team" has not been helpful at all. They don't really provide support - they are more like a Sales Team and I'm not buying. It is ridiculous to have this issue and be expected to pay an additional huge sum of money to get the software to work properly. It's like buying a new car and being forced to pay more for the keys. I'm incredibly disappointed with the support I've received on this by the Quickbooks Support Team. It has wasted hours of my time.
Hi Jessie,
I'm experiencing the same problem with QuickBooks Desktop when generating 941 reports. Were you able to correct the issue on your end? If so, how?
Thanks,
Hi @aleingone, let's work together and get rid of this error message.
We'll begin by repairing QuickBooks to identify and fix why such an error message occurs while generating the 941 reports. I'll show you how.
But if the steps above didn't make any changes with the issue currently raised, let's continue our troubleshooting steps by following the steps below:
Once done, restart your desktop first before working again with QuickBooks. Then, right-click on the QuickBooks icon on your Desktop, select Run as Administrator, and generate your report accordingly.
