Can customers pay more than one invoice with Online Payments?

Hello, DDCO. 

Thank you for choosing QuickBooks as your accounting software. In QuickBooks, you have the ability to apply one payment to multiple invoices in QuickBooks. To do this, place a checkmark in the checkmark column to the left of the invoices against which you want to apply the cumulative payment amount received. Repeat this until the total payment has been distributed to the correct invoices. 

Here's a refresher: 

1. Open QuickBooks.
2. Go to Customers.
3. Pick Receive Payments.
4. Enter all the information needed.
5. Put a checkmark beside the invoices you want.
6. Choose Save & Close or Save & New. 

QuickBooks automatically attributes the amount entered against all the outstanding invoices shown, from oldest to newest.

Afaik, if you are using QB Payment, you still have to pay the processing fee for each invoice. We know another payment processor since 2020 has enabled multiple invoice payments for all QuickBooks Desktop/Pro/Enterprise (US Version) in a single transaction with a single fee.

I know how to receive payments, I specifically referring to customers paying us via Quickbooks Online Payments. See attached. Can they pay more than one at a time? Sometimes they want to pay 8 invoices and doing it one at a time is a terrible option.

It's not to save on the processing fee, but it's so a customer could pay as many invoices in one swoop as they want, we regularly have customers paying 8 or more invoices at once. Quickbooks Online Payments doesn't appear to allow that.

Allowing the customer to pay multiple invoices at one time isn't possible in QuickBooks Online Payment. As an alternative, I recommend looking for a third-party application that allows a customer to pay as many invoices as they like. You can use this link to find the best app that suits your business need: QuickBooks app.

You'll want to apply one payment to multiple invoices in QuickBooks Desktop. This can be done by placing a checkmark to the left of the invoices against which you want to apply the cumulative payment amount received.

Here's how:

1. Go to the Customers menu, then Receive Payments.
2. Select the customer under the Receive From dropdown.
3. Enter the payment date, amount, and payment method.
4. Checkmark the invoices which you want to apply for the payment.
5. Once done, hit Save.

You should explore another payment processor to integrate with your QB.

The customer can make an intuit account and save payment info so they can pay them faster, 

but they do need to add a feature where you can pay for multiple invoices at the same time.

In my experience if they want to pay more than one invoice at a time you can do the entry over the phone. On our side we are able to choose multiple invoices to pay at one time.
