Deposit delayed today IN REVIEW

Good to see you here in the Community forum, @Northscaffold. I would be glad to provide you with information about the deposit speed and the reasons for the delay in QuickBooks.

As this is your first time using QuickBooks Payments, please note that your initial set of payments will be deposited within 5 business days. This only happens if you're just starting out since we are still setting up your account. Rest assured, the succeeding transactions will be deposited much faster once the process is completed.

The deposit speed also depends on the product you're using and the type of payment you're processing. You can follow the steps below to check the status of all your processed payments.

  1. Sign in to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. From the homepage, select Activities & Reports and then Deposits.
  3. Select the date range in the Dates field.
  4. Tap Search.
  • Withheld or Batch Deposit Returned- check your email to see the steps to fix the issue.
  • Funded- Successfully deposits the amount and your money is on its way.

I'd combine some articles about payment fees, credit card declined, voiding transactions in QB Payments, and other related topics.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about deposit delays in QuickBooks. I'd be happy to help you out. Have a great day.

They didn’t ask for anything they didn’t want anything they just want to hold onto the money for 280 days which is odd number. It’s like nine months I’m trying to start up a class action lawsuit against these people so as many people that can book and go to the BBB and then start up a lawsuit against them the better

We can assure you that your deposits and payments are secured with QuickBooks Payments, Northscaffold. Since it's now over the allotted days that your money should be deposited in your account, I encourage you to contact our Payments Support team. I'll share details on how to do this below.

QuickBooks typically deposit your funds within five business days after your first payment. Since your funds aren't still being deposited and didn't even show on funded, withheld or pending in your Merchant account, we'll have to let our Payments Support team further check the status of your payment transactions.

You can contact our Payments support depending on the QuickBooks product you're using. Please see this article for the complete guide: Contact Payments or Point of Sale Support.

Hi there,

I'm here to get the help you need concerning your deposit.

To be sure we're on the same page, I'd like to verify if you mean that the money was deposited to your bank account, but you're unable to use it.

If yes, I recommend contacting your bank account to verify why you can't use it. If not, can you add more details? Any extra information is much appreciated.

For future reference, here's a resource for guidance about the best practices when reconciling: Reconcile an account in QuickBooks Online.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions. I'll be happy to help you some more. Have a good day!

I am having the same issue, however, I am not new to quickbooks. I’ve been processing for the year. There have been no chargebacks as my tenants always pay weekly. I need my funds asap to pay a light bill, I cannot afford this to get cut off. Can someone look into this for me?

I can see the urgency of getting the funds deposited into your account, Elleven events. I want to make sure that your payments are deposited seamlessly to QuickBooks.

Deposit speeds depend on the product you're using and the type of payment. The same goes for credit card processing and bank transfers. Also, ensure that you process the funds before 3 PM PT. This way, QuickBooks will deposit the money in your bank account the next business day. If you process payments after 3 PM PT, we'll deposit them in two business days. For more information, see this link: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

On the other hand, you can check the status of processed payments from QuickBooks Online (QBO). Here's how:

  1. Sign in to QuickBooks Online.
  2. Go to Get paid & pay and select Deposits.
  3. Select the bank deposit you want to review.

You'll see each payment that's part of the daily deposit. It also shows related processing fees as separate transactions.

If there's an issue with a deposit, you'll see Withheld or Batch Deposit Returned in the Status column. Select the arrow ▼ in the Fee column to review details. You'll get an email from Intuit with steps to fix the problem.

If you checked the payment status and we deposited the payments, that means your money is on its way. Also, keep in mind that some banks hold onto funds after we deposit them. I'd recommend reaching out to them to verify your deposit status.

If there are no problems with your financial institution, reach out to our QuickBooks Merchant Service Team. This way, they can perform a further investigation and trace the cause of the issue.
