Buy now & saveI have a custom report that displays all time for active projects, but when I try to update in the QBO Advanced spreadsheet sync feature, it states it is completed almost instantly but the new data doesn't populate.
You can quickly refresh the report you create in Spreadsheet Sync, kevind4, which will update the open spreadsheet based on your custom report. I am happy to guide you through the steps.

I am aware of how to update, but various reports I attempt to refresh do not update the data. Have to try several times, close excel, sign out, sign in, restart, etc... and sometimes it works and sometimes I have to try again later on.

Before I direct you to them, you can consider switching to other supported browsers installed on your system to rule out whether the browser you're currently using has anything to do with the syncing issue. Then, try logging in again and open Spreadsheet Sync to see if things work out.
If the issue continues, then let's contact our QB live support team. They can set up a screen-sharing session to help identify why your data reports in QBO don't show up in Spreadsheet Sync. They can also create a ticket for further investigation.

Moreover, by exporting data to Excel, you can manually review and cross-check figures for accuracy, helping you to identify and rectify any errors that may exist in the original QuickBooks reports.

Clarifying a couple items, as I think the reply is directed to a fix that I am not looking for. The custom reports run just fine out of QBO, it's when I try to refresh the reports or run them in excel is where they either don't update or are missing several fields.
