QuickBooks Online Essentials gives businesses with up to three users the ability to track income and expenses, manage accounts receivable, and stay on top of accounts payable (money owed to suppliers). It also gives you the ability to run accounts payable aging reports so you can keep up on bill due dates. You can also connect with your accountant, making it easier at tax time.

There are two main factors to consider when deciding which QuickBooks Online product is right for you. First, how many users do you have? QuickBooks EasyStart is ideal for solo entrepreneurs, gig workers, freelancers, and businesses that only sell services. QuickBooks Online Essentials includes up to three users. QuickBooks Online Plus includes up to five users. Second, what features does your business need? QuickBooks Online Essentials does everything that EasyStart will do and adds the ability to manage bills and track time. QuickBooks Online Plus gives you the functionality of EasyStart and Essentials with the added ability to track inventory and track profitability by project.
