We’ve improved the process of getting in touch with our QuickBooks Support Team. You can have the full contact information by going to the Help menu. I'll show you how:

  1. Go to the Help (?) icon at the top.
  2. On the Assistant tab, click Talk to a human.
  3. Enter your concern in the Type something field, then click the send icon.
  4. Click on I still need a human.
  5. Select Get help from a human.
  6. You can select the Chat with us or the Have us call you option.

 

You can also perform the steps below to cancel your QuickBooks account without reaching out to us:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and Settings
  2. In the left menu, choose Billing & Subscription
  3. Click Cancel subscription, then Continue
  4. Complete the short survey. 

Rest assured that you'll not get billed after performing the process. After that, your data will be available in read-only access for a year.

I Called in on July 11, 2022 and cancelled my QuickBooks online account, My confirmation number is [Removed]. I just received and email that my Credit Card was charged 149.99 on Juy 22, 2022

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Open the Help (?) menu.
  3. Choose either tab to proceed:
    • Assistant: Get fast, personalized responses. Choose a suggested option, or fill in a description of your concern. If you'd like you can Talk to a Human.
    • Search: Look for the QBO knowledge base directly, or click on Contact Us and select a way to connect with us:

 perform the steps below to cancel your QuickBooks account without reaching out to us:

  1. Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and Settings

We can verify first what's the charge amount for by signing into your Intuit account through the Customer Account Management Portal Site (CAMPS) website. This shows all of your QuickBooks subscriptions and your billing history from the previous date period. Here are the steps to get there:

 

  1. Log in to My Account and sign in using your Intuit account credentials.
  2. Select View your transaction history under the Payment and Order Activity section. 
  3. In the Payment History page, click the Period drop-down and choose a date.
  4. Filter the list by date and time. The payment history can show both payments and refunds in your account within the last 360 days or one year.
  5. Tick the Details link next to the payment or refund to see more information.

 

 

Then, let's make sure your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account is already canceled in the program. Here's how: 

 

  1. Login to QBO and choose the duplicate account you wanted to cancel.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and then select Account and Settings.
  3. Choose Billing and Subscription.
  4. Under the QuickBooks section, click Cancel.
  5. Follow the steps to cancel your account.

In QuickBooks Online, you can cancel your account from your billing and subscription information. Let me walk you through the steps on how to accomplish this.

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Under YOUR COMPANY, select Accounts and Settings.
  3. Select Billing &subscription.
  4. On the QuickBooks Plan section, select Cancel Subscription.
  5. Click Cancel.

Thanks for chiming in, @rwdsanidyne. It seems that you want to cancel your account but it didn't go through. 

Let's make sure that the cancelation was successful by going to the Billing and subscription page. If it's not, then let's try canceling your subscription again. 

 

Note that there are different ways to cancel your subscription depending on your purchase. 

 

If you purchase your account online, you'll want to follow the steps provided by JonpriL. But if you purchased through Apple App or Google Play Store, follow the steps below.


For Apple App Store:
 

  1. Go to the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad.
  2. Select your Name to access your Apple ID.
  3. Click Subscriptions, then QuickBooks Online.
  4. Tick Cancel.

 

For Google Play Store:
 

  1. Go to the Play Store app.
  2. Select the Profile icon.
  3. Click Payments & subscriptions, then select Subscriptions.
  4. Tick the QuickBooks Online app.
  5. On the Manage subscriptions window, Hit Cancel subscription.

 

Once canceled but you want to check the charge, you may need to contact our QuickBooks Online Support team. They can access your account securely and look into the charge further.

There is no bloody HELP icon. You are ripping me off, and just charged my credit card for a service I don't want. Your "cancel" instructions do not work.  What a joke.

Before we start, may I know what device you're using and how did you purchase your subscription? This will allow us to give you specific steps on how to manage your account and how to reach our support.

 

In the meantime, we can go ahead and access your QuickBooks Online account through a web browser so you can cancel your subscription.

 

Here's how:

 

  1. Open a web browser on your computer.
  2. Log in to QuickBooks Online as an admin user.
  3. Go to the Gear ⚙ icon and select Account and settings.
  4. Click Billing & subscription
  5. In the QuickBooks section, select Cancel subscription or Cancel online. If you're canceling a trial, select Cancel trial.
  6. Follow the onscreen steps.

If you want to delete your credit card account in the chart of accounts, you can only make it inactive instead of deleting it in QBO, so you'll still have access to your past transaction data for reporting purposes.

 

Before you start, I'd recommend reaching out to your accountant to ensure the necessary changes is right for you.

 

When you're ready to make an account inactive, here's how:

 

  1. Go to the Accounting menu and select Chart of accounts.
  2. Find the account you want to delete.
  3. Click the Action ▼ dropdown and select Make inactive.

They have the tools to verify your subscription status and process the necessary refund on your behalf. To do this, here's how:

 

  1. Sign in to your QBO company.
  2. Go to the Help (?) menu.
  3. Select the Search tab.
  4. Click the Contact Us button.
  5. Enter a brief description of your concern in the What can we help you with? field.
  6. Select Continue.

We're sad to let you go, but I'm here to guide you through the steps to cancel your subscription. 

 

We can go to the Billing & subscription page to cancel your QuickBooks subscription. Here are the steps: 

 

  1. Go to the Gear icon, then select Account and settings.
  2. Click the Billing & subscription tab. 
  3. On the QuickBooks section, click Cancel subscription.
  4. Follow the prompts to proceed with the cancellation process. 

 

However, if you've already tried canceling it in your end and still having issues,  I would recommend contacting our support agents. 

 

They can pull up your account securely and help you with the cancellation process. Here's how to reach them: 

 

  1. Click the Help menu.
  2. Go to the Search tab on the pop-up window.
  3. Proceed with Contact Us.
  4. In the box, enter "cancel QuickBooks subscription."
  5. Hit Continue.
  6. Choose how you want to reach us (phone or chat).

I'll also add that the system still keeps your data for one year from the cancellation date. After that, your account and data will be completely deleted from the system.

I have asked over and over to stop charging my card. I cancelled my subscription 6 months or more ago. I can't even log in because it says I no longer have an account yet each month I continue to get charged $85.00. STOP CHARGING ME!!!!
