Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @MARKKHU.

If you're already using the Classic Mode for the Bank Feeds, it's possible that the Payee Aliasing option was turned off, causing them to not show. Let's check the Preferences to verify.

Here's how:

  1. In QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), go to the Edit menu at the top left to get to the Preferences.
  2. Select Checking at the left pane and proceed to the Company Preferences tab.
  3. In the Bank Feeds section, make sure that the Classic Mode is selected and turned on.
  4. Hit OK to complete.

Once done, go back to the Bank Feed Center to double-check.

Thanks for adding a screenshot of your settings, MARKKHU.

I can share some tips on how you can turn on that option.

The Payee Aliasing option will pop up once you tick the Classic Mode radio button. However, this option doesn't appear in the Preferences dialog unless you've enabled a bank account or credit card account for online banking.

That said, you'll want to make sure that your bank accounts are set up for Bank Feeds in QuickBooks Desktop. When this option is added, it is automatically turned on by default.

Additionally, please know that QuickBooks Desktop has three Bank Feed modes. To learn more about how each mode displays and handles transactions, you can read this article: Switch between banking modes.

Just drop a comment below if you have any other concerns or follow-up questions. I'll more than happy to help you again. Wishing you a prosperous and happy New Year.

I have the same problem as the original poster.  I have two checking accounts and two credit cards set up for bank feeds but the option to turn on aliasing is not there.  Is there any other trick to this?

We can run the verify and rebuild steps to isolate the issue, jb2601.

Let me guide you with these steps:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities and then, Verify Data.

If you see a specific error message, you can search for it in our QuickBooks Desktop support site for specific instructions to resolve this. If you are prompted with Your data has lost integrity message, you'll have to rebuild the system.

You can do that by selecting Verify Data under Utilities from the File menu.

Afterward, let's try to turn on the aliasing option. I've also added this reference to learn more about managing bank modes in QBDT, consider checking out this article: Switch between banking modes.

I'll be around if there's anything that I can help with. Keep safe!

Okay, I did Verify and Rebuild Data and that didn't help.  But I think I figured it out.

There is a programming issue with how that particular dialog box screen is displayed.

The option to choose aliasing is not visible, however, when I hover with the mouse over the option below it (called "Turn on Bank feeds log"), an "on" and "off" toggle switch button with no descriptive label on it and overlapping the "Turn on Bank feeds" description.  It's clearly a programming issue.  Does no one else have this problem?   Once I chose "on" this way, the "Create Alias" appears as an option.

I am attaching a picture taken by my phone where it shows how the "On" button pops up, but only when going over it with a mouse.  Otherwise it's not there or visible.

Good day, @jb2601.

Thanks for performing the troubleshooting steps shared by my colleague above.

Since you're still experiencing the issue, let me share with you other steps that would fix the error.

You can run the repair tool for QuickBooks Desktop for Windows. This tool can help fix common company errors right away. Here's how:

  1. If you haven't already, back up your company file. Then, restart your computer. This makes sure there are no programs that may affect the repair.
  2. Open the Windows Start menu and select Control Panel.
  3. Click Programs and Features, then select Uninstall a Program. If you don't see Programs and Features, choose Programs instead. Then, select Program and Features.
  4. Choose QuickBooks from the list of Programs, and select Uninstall/Change.
  5. Click Continue, or Next. Then, select Repair and click next.
  6. Once it's done, select Finish. Please take note that you may have to restart your computer to complete the repair.

In addition, ensure that QuickBooks is updated to the latest release. This makes sure you have the most recent fixes and security updates.

In case you're still getting a similar result, contact our QuickBooks Desktop Support Team. They will help you check where might the issue is coming from and fix it.

Additionally, you can use this article as a reference managing bank modes in QBDT: Switch between banking modes.

Quickbooks is updated to the latest update available.  I performed the Repair function exactly as you instructed, including two reboots of the PC, and it did not resolve the issue.  Once again, I believe the issue is in programming.  Rather than picture, I am attaching a video which shows how the toggle switched appear on the wrong line out of nowhere upon mouse hover.  I am using QB Enterprise 20.0, Accountant Edition.  Please forward this issue to the programmers.  Since I was able to get the aliases to work, I won't be spending any more time calling QB support.  Thank you.   Nevermind, the video cannot be uploaded, so please just believe my words that the options are invisible and hiding under the wrong menu line item.  Thanks.

Thank you, this helped me! Although I couldn't see it when hovering with my mouse, when I clicked the "Classic Mode" I was then able to tab and then I could see "on" & "off" somewhat. Just another of the many glitches with this program.

I have turned on and off the Aliasing feature in the preferences, updated my QuickBooks, verified the data, tried changing bank feed modes and when I use the classic register mode the aliasing still doesn't work. Any additional suggestions? I do not want to uninstall the program from my computer.
