How do i resend employee invitation to workforce?

To send invitations to employees again, you’ll need to log in to QuickBooks as a company admin or master admin. After that, let's enter the email address of your employees on the Email field, then check the Invite this employee to view their pay stubs and W-2s online option. This way, QuickBooks will automatically invite them for online paycheck access upon saving their profile.

If you initially invited the employee to QuickBooks Workforce, only then is the We’ve invited employee to view their pay stubs together with the Resend link visible. Let's try deleting your employee's email address and save it. Once done, log out of your QuickBooks account and then log back in.

If none of these steps above worked, the best route would be to delete the employee and make a new profile for that employee with a new email to send the invitation again.

1. Go to the Help icon in the top right-hand corner. 
2. Press the Contact Us button. 
3. Give a brief description of the problem and hit Let's talk. 
4. Scroll down and choose to Get a callback.

Does this work for QuickBooks Time as well?

You can send an invitation so your employees can view their paystubs online by logging into the QuickBooks Workforce page. 

On the QuickBooks Time page, you can only add team members, enter a pay rate, edit team member profiles, and so on.

I also am having this problem.  I initially entered the employee email address incorrectly.  The invite was sent to an incorrect email address.  When I edit and correct the email address in  the employee's information, it does not let me change it in the "invite" screen.  I've seen the information about canceling the invite, but I do not have this option.  I also saw the suggestion to delete the employee, but the employee has already been paid twice so this is not an option.  Please assist.  Thank you

I am using QB Enterprise and I have the same issue I need to correct an email.

I updated the email in the employee setup, logged out and back in, but when I go to Employees: Manage Payroll Cloud Service it will still show the old email. It will let me change the email there but as soon as I click invite it defaults to the old (wrong) email.

Can you please provide solutions for the desktop version. I am using QB Enterprise but it is the as the desktop version. This should not need need a call to Intuit, this should be a simple solution....

I'm here to make sure you'll be able to send the invite to your employees correct email in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). 

To start with, you'll have to update your QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release. This is to keep your software up-to-date so you always have the latest features and fixes while running QuickBooks. 

1. Open QuickBooks Desktop and go to the Help menu.
2. Select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
3. Go to the Update Now tab. Tip: You can select the Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.
4. Click Get Updates to start the download.
5. Once done, accept the option to install the new release. 

Once done, we can proceed with updating your tax table. This way, we can ensure that you stay compliant with paycheck calculations.

Here’s how:

1. Choose Employees, then Get Payroll Updates.
2. Check the Download Entire Update box.
3. Select Download Latest Update. When the installation is finished, an information-based window appears.

Thanks for chiming in, Chris. I'd be glad to share information about the expiration of work invitation links. 

It takes 24 to 48 hours for the invitation link to expire. If you want to resend the link to your contractor, follow the steps below:

1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account.
2. Click Payroll from the left menu, then select Employees.
3. Choose the employee you need to resend the invitation to.
4. Go to the Personal Info section.
5. Next to We've invited [employee] to view their pay stubs and W-2s online with the QuickBooks Workforce section, select Revoke Access.
6. Then, edit the employee's email address and select Resend Invite.
7. Click Done.

5.  Turn off workforce  (the trick here is that you have to turn off workforce fro that specific employee and then immedianlty  turn workfoce back on before you are allowed to resend.
These  steps come in handy if an employee has lost their phone, got a new iphone or got a new cell phone number.  

How to resend invite for long time employee who has got new email address or new cell phone number etc. 

Here is the answer as of 10-18-23

There is no place on the desktop Quickbooks under Personal Info to opt out or revoke a person from Workforce.  He has tried to go to the site by using my invitation and it will not recognize the site 

he is told to click on.  Seems like no "help" ever matches instructions see in directions.  

The desktop version of QuickBooks has a different way of revoking a person from QuickBooks Workforce, Montcalm. I'll guide you through the process so you can send a new invitation to your employee and enable them to access their pay stubs and W-2s online.

With QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), you can cancel the QuickBooks Workforce invite in the Payroll Setup window. To do this, here's how:

1. Select Employees, then Payroll Setup.
2. From the Employee list, under Action, select the drop-down and choose Cancel.
3. When finished, close the setup window.

After that, go to the Employee Center if you wish to update the employee's email address. Then, resend your invitation. Refer to the steps below to complete the procedure:

1. Select Employees, then Employee Center.
2. Double-click your employee’s name. Add their email address in the Address and Contact tab.
3. Select Employees, then Manage Payroll Cloud Services.
4. From QuickBooks Workforce, select Invite Employees.
5. Sign in with your Intuit Account. This should be the person who owns the QuickBooks Payroll license.
6. Select the employees to add to Workforce, then add their email addresses.
7. Select Send Invite. Once sent, you should see Invited in the Status column.
