Is there a per paycheck cost for direct deposit payroll checks?

Hi is there a fee for direct deposits for contractor. I got one person saying $4.00 and another one say $10.00 per contactor?

When you process Direct Deposit (DD) for a contractor, it will only cost $2.00 a month. If you don't make a DD payment to a contractor for a specific month, you'll not be charged.

hi - based on the thread, your saying that there is a monthly fee of $2/contractor leveraging DD regardless of number of payments within a month, correct? Can you advise as to what the $4 charge when adding DD for a contractor? Is this $4 recurring or one-time fee? I have incurred this $4 charge for each contractor but cant determine what the fee relates to for DD and if it is recurring...

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. New things are always rolling out for QuickBooks to make work easier. Each Direct Deposit Contractor will cost you $2.00 for any month in which you actually process a Direct Deposit payment to the contractor. 

If you don't process a Direct Deposit payment to a contractor you will not be charged for that month. I would also suggest reaching out to our sales team to check which plan is best for you. Please click here to view the price list.

I am taking over the payroll Using QuickBooks Online - While reconciling 2021 bank statements I noticed a fee for each direct deposit - the payroll company that was doing payroll said there was a 1.75 fee for each direct deposit (they use desktop) - did that fee change?  I this thread said 1.50 per direct deposit.

In this case, I'd suggest contacting our Payroll Support team to review the fee for each direct deposit. Our representative has tools to verify and review your account in a secure session.

I thought the direct deposit was free - I am seeing where there are certain fees per direct deposit.

At the moment, QuickBooks Online Payroll charges $6 per month for each contractor and employee for direct deposit, with no additional fees. The said costs only apply when you process payroll.
