941 efile

So, I submitted my 941 efile almost 3 days ago and it still says submitted to intuit.  I have called a few times and the only answer I get is that it is still processing and wait 10 days.  It has never been this way, I submit to intuit and it says submitted to intuit and within 24 hours (usually much quicker) it will say submitted to agency and the agency accepted or rejected.  The QBDT website says same thing so its like my submission is stuck within intuit and not being submitted to agency.  Both people I spoke with QBDT said it was an IRS issue to pass the issue off.  It's not an IRS issue it hasnt' been sent to the IRS yet, it's still with Intuit.  QBDT website even gives the process.  I can't re-efile as QBDT wont' let me do that.

Good Morning and thank you for responding, however this is not about payments as I stated this is my efile 941 quarterly report.  All my other efiles sent at same time, for state and w/2,W3 went thru fine.  In my research the progression one efile is submitted it

submit to intuit

submitted to agency

agency accepts or rejects

My 941 quarterly report is stuck at the submitted to intuit stage and has NOT been submitted to agency IRS yet?  Why, no one I talked to can tell me.  I have tried now 4 times and no one can answer, they say wait.  it does not take over 72 hours.  Someone from a higher level was to call me back yesterday and NEVER did.

This isn't the kind of customer service I desire you to experience, monikalynn.

I'm here to add some additional information about the e-filing issue.

Processing times change from one agency to another. Electronic forms and payments can take up to 48 hours (or more) to be processed by some tax agencies. Others process information right away.

For more details, you can check out this article: Check e-file or e-pay status in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Enhanced

The Submitted to Intuit status means that the e-filed form has been submitted to Intuit and is ready to process. If there are issues or needs action on the form you submitted, Intuit will send an email about it so I suggest you check your email.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to Help, then select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Select Contact Us.
  4. Give a brief description of your issue, then select Let's talk, and then choose a way to connect. Phone support may be limited due to volume.

To ensure that you'll be assisted immediately, I recommend checking our support hours before performing the steps.

I've got you this helpful article for ideas about how you can manage your payroll: Learn how to prepare and print Form 941, Schedule B, and Form 940.

Feel free to get back to us if you have other concerns with QuickBooks. Have a great day!

Thank you for the response.  It has been over 72 hours now and all my other efile have been accepted. I need to know what to do if it continues to sit at submitted to intuit and doesnt move to be submitted to agency?  I have been using QB for 20 years so I know the routine but when I call I only get a call back from someone who DOES not have any answers and won't look up what the issue is.  I have asked for call backs from supervisor and it DOES NOT HAPPEN

Thanks for getting back to us, @monikalynn.

I'll share some information about the e-file status in QuickBooks. Once you submitted the forms, an email will be sent to you to let you know if your e-payment or e-filing was accepted or rejected. This is sent to the e-mail address you provided to Intuit when you enrolled with the agency.

Meanwhile, you'll want to check you inbox or spam folders if you've receive an update about the status. If you haven't receive an email from Intuit, please contact our Payroll Support so we can investigate further.

Here's the link to reach out: QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Additionally, here's a link that'll help you manage your taxes: Year-end checklist for QuickBooks Desktop Payroll.

Please don't hesitate to reply if you have other payroll questions or concerns. I'll be around to help. Take care and have a nice day ahead.

Yes, I know that is the process and it is stuck at submitted to intuit and I have called multiple times and no answer at all and I keep getting passed off and I have asked now 3 times for a supervisor call back which has not happened yet.  I know the process as I have used QB for about 20 years.  Once it is submitted to Intuit and it shows submitted to intuit, then the next phase is submitted to agency and then agency accepts or rejects.  It  has been over 3 days since it was submitted to intuit with no movement for it to be sent to agency and no emails.  My other filings for state and W2/@3 have been submitted and submitted to agency and accepted.  The form that is stuck is my quarterly 941 report.
