Finding your License or Download QuickBooks Desktop:
Product and Service section of CAMP's shows all registered Desktop apps and subscriptions. Here is where you can find license info or download any versions of QuickBooks Desktop, you see.
Choosing a product or subscription lets you see more info about it, including:
Download products you see here or cancel your subscription.
You can get help if you can't find your app or subscription make sure you're signed in with the email you used to register this version of QuickBooks Desktop.

To help locate your license or product number, you can go to this link: https://emaillicense.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/licensenumber. Then, you can either choose via business email or business phone.
Once done, click the Find license and product number button. Aside from that, you can also access or view your license by signing in to CAMPS as mentioned by my colleague Sarah Bl.

If you are failed, company will not recognize your license. You may purchase a new license directly or with a lower price thru a partner.

Follow this link https://emaillicense.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/licensenumber and enter in your business email or phone number. Then click on "Find license and product number." Another way is to log into CAMPS directly and manage your subscription: https://camps.intuit.com/.

It's good to know you tried to check the license number and product code in your account if it matches correctly. If you're getting an error message that says "The validation code is incorrect", we can perform troubleshooting steps to fix it.
To begin, you can start by checking your date and time settings. If that didn't work, we can download and install the QuickBooks Tools Hub and run a Quick Fix to close any open background processes that could possibly preventing your activation. Thank you. After several tries, I saw under one of the tools menu an option to download qb desktop. So I was able to input my license and product number before downloading which made a difference. Thank you for your assistance!
Now having a different issue. Trying to open my file and it wants me to save as, but keeps saying it's a read only.

If you've forgotten/lost your User ID and/or password, you can retrieve access to the account by using your I forgot my user ID or password on the sign in window.
Here's how:
If you no longer have access to the email you used for your account, a request can be made to change the account's address.

Login to your CAMPS as Primary Contact and you have to find your license there.
I have a similar problem. I have no clue where the box with the license is but when I called in, I was told that because Desktop 17 in no longer supported, I can't get the license number and that desktop products are no longer being sold, only subscriptions for online. I no longer need it for business, but I like keeping my personal stuff organized. I have the data backed up but I can't get to it without the license number. I felt like if I could talk to someone in the US, I might get somewhere because my experience with the Asian call centers is that they just blow you off.

My colleagues gave the best two options for locating your license number. Here they are:
If these options don't work, you can download the QB Enterprise trial and restore the backup file in there. Note: This will require you to upgrade the backup file to a newer version.

If you couldn't find your old license, you can purchase the one time license for QBD 2021 or an older version to access your archive files.

The QBDT 2019 is an old edition that is no longer supported. As a result, we're unable to purchase a one-time license code for this version. See the QuickBooks plans and pricing page to review available versions: Choose the QuickBooks Desktop or Online product for your needs.

If you still have access to your company file from previous computers, you can open it and just press the F2 key to find the license and product number in the Product Information window.
