I had same behavior - Windows 11 Pro, QB 2022 Desktop Pro and Office 2016 32bit. QB runs without issue on this new OS. One lingering problem though, only CSV excel export option available. I tried all the posted resolutions to no avail, even rebuilding the OS from scratch. The fix for me to make all Excel export options available was to do the opposite - install the 64bit version of Office and it worked like a champ. Removing 32bit versions of Office now and installing 64bit on the rest of the accounting team's PCs. Hope this helps.
@dbouf This is only a workaround, but I find that when I have the csv vs. excel export issue (I have a couple of clients who often have this issue), opening an excel workbook first, then exporting, will succeed. It seems like the program just can't find excel when this happens.
Hello- I have QB Desktop Pro Plus 2022 installed this week on a new Windows 11- everything works fine, just like on my old computer, except that the screen print size is so small it's almost unusable. Any "Text Size" setting I change in Windows Settings makes text larger everywhere except not in Quick Books. I've tried the QB Help with Level 1 support 3 times with no success (and was told I even need to exchange Desktop Pro 2022 for some other QB instead, because it's not compatible with Windows 11, even tough your website says otherwise). I have asked 2 times now for Level 2 Support escalation, but only Level 1 calls me back. How do I contact Level 2 for Support?
Thank you!

Is Intuit planning on making Quickbooks Pro 2020 compatible with Windows 11?
Hey there, karenhenry.
Currently, only QuickBooks Desktop 2022 (Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Pro, and Enterprise) R3 or later is certified as fully compatible with Windows 11 64-bit
If you choose to use Windows 11 for QuickBooks Desktop Pro 2020, you may experience some unexpected issues with your QuickBooks software. Our team is actively working to ensure compatibility for all other QuickBooks versions.
You can get more details about QuickBooks system requirements in the following resources below. On the same link, you'll find out what your computer needs to run for the best QuickBooks Desktop experience:
System requirements for QuickBooks Desktop 2020 and Enterprise Solutions 20.0.
QuickBooks Desktop Microsoft Windows 11 Compatibility.
I'm only a post away if you have any other questions. I'll be glad to share and provide further assistance whenever you need one. Have a wonderful day!
Its not fully compatible yet. I just tried to move to my windows 11 machine, and had to revert back to Windows 10. I worked with support, but we were not able to resolve the issue. My issue was when you submit payroll to the IRS, the pop up box is not readable, it overlaps, and does not allow you to change information or submit the information. This is a deal breaker, as I have to be able to submit my payroll for my employees. I ask that this be a priority for resolution, this option is not optional if you pay for payroll services with Quickbooks. I am on the 2022 desktop version on windows 11, I reverted back to the 2021 version on windows 10. So still stuck running two computers.
Hello, lynnelt24.
I know you have already reached out to our support team. However, I recommend reaching again to our customer support team to check and review your account what causes these unreadable and unable to allow change information or submit the information when running payroll.

Its not an issue with how I have things setup, the pop up box is in what I will call corrupted state (too small and you can't enlarge it to get it to full size to do anything with it.) I sat for a few hours with support trying things to resolve. If there are other things to try, please post, as I do not have time to sit on a call with a software bug. once the patch is published, please post an update here, or send notifications to your customers.
Thanks for getting back here, @lynnelt24.
I know it can be challenging when you encounter some issues while trying to submit your payroll to the IRS. I'll provide some troubleshooting steps to help you sort out this issue.
If you haven't tried running the Verify and Rebuild data tools to get this resolved, we can perform this to verify and resolve the most commonly known data issues within your company file. First, please ensure that your QuickBooks Desktop is up to date.
Here's how to verify data:
Next, here's how to rebuild the data:
However, if performing these steps doesn't fix the issue, you can also try the File Doctor to fix company file issues in QBDT. For a step-by-step process, feel free to utilize this article: Fix company file and network issues with QuickBooks File Doctor.
Furthermore, I'm also adding this article for additional troubleshooting steps that will help you fix this issue: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
Please let me know how it goes after performing the steps above. It'll always be my pleasure to help if you've got other QuickBooks concerns. Stay safe!
As explained before, but here is a screen print to see what shows up, with no way to enlarge the this pop up window. The window isn't readable or usable, it does not take any input, changes, or even a click on the submission button, as all the information is correct.
Thank you for getting back to us and sharing a screenshot of your issue, @lynnelt24.
I can see how challenging this problem is. But don't worry, I've come to share other troubleshooting steps that can help fix your display issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
The troubleshooting steps shared by my colleague above will only help resolve data issues on your company file. However, we have a different solution when it comes to the display issue in QuickBooks Desktop. Let me share it with you.
Strangely sized on the screen may be caused by a newer high-resolution monitor. In this case, you'll need to change your default settings in QuickBooks to get the best results. Here's how:
Once done, open your QuickBooks company file and go back to the E-Pay Login window to verify. If you get the same result, I suggest adjusting your view preferences in QuickBooks. Let me guide you how.
If the issue persists, you can check out this article for other troubleshooting steps: Fix screen issues in QuickBooks Desktop.
As always, you can visit our QuickBooks Community help website if you need tips and related articles in the future.
Don't hesitate to let me know how it goes, @lynnelt24. I want to make sure this issue is taken care of.
Here is the update... the only change that resolved it was changing the resolution on my computer. This needs to be fixed within the application, as this setting changes settings for everything on my computer. Is there going to be a patch that comes out to fix this within the application? I didn't pay big bucks for a computer for quickbooks settings to push me backwards in technology.
Hello, lynnelt24.
Yes, a new patch will be released soon. For now, only QuickBooks Desktop 2022 (Pro Plus, Premier Plus, Pro, and Enterprise) R3 or later is certified as fully compatible with Windows 11 64-bit. As a workaround, you may consider the steps outlined by my colleague Mark_R above to resize your screen.

Now that 5 months has passed since your last post, are there still issues with QB 2022 desktop working with Windows 11? And is there a plan for Intuit to make desktop 2021 and 2020 compatible with window 11? Asking because I just ordered a new laptop with windows 11 and I need to be able to work with 2020 and 2021.
I still don't recommend to run any QBD version on Win 11 for the time being. Ask your store to downgrade your OS to Win 10 Home and you should be eligible to upgrade to Win 11 later for free. In our experience over the last 9 months, Win 10 Home is more reliable than Win 10 Pro for running QBD.
It really sucks that QuickBooks 23 is being sold yet doesn't work with Windows 11. I had to get a new computer and so I went ahead and updated my QB from 22 to 23. QB representative didn't even mention that it doesn't work correctly with W11, they charge me $549 a year to use this software and W11 has been out since Oct 5 of last year. I installed it and have spent the last 3 days talking with about 6 different people that don't know what the crap is going on. Very disappointed QB, very disappointed indeed. Do Better...you charge too much money for this software not to work better and be more up to date. Why would you even issue a new release when it's not compatable with an operating system that most of the country will be switching to soon...SAD
I'm using QBP 2021 and unwisely updated my laptop to Win 11 in Nov/22. Now, I keep getting a "Missing PDF component" message whenever I try to save invoices.
So why do you say "You can still buy the one time license for QBD 2021 from several partners if required."
??
Hi there, @Cat981.
Let's repair your software to determine why it is showing a prompt message keeping you from working with your invoices and resolve it.
But if the steps above didn't make any changes to the problem currently raised, let's continue our troubleshooting steps by following the steps below:
Once done, restart your computer first before working again with QuickBooks. Then, right-click on the QuickBooks icon on your Desktop, select Run as Administrator, and open your company files accordingly.

I've got you covered if you have questions while accessing your company file in QuickBooks. Let me know by leaving a comment below using the Reply option. Take care always!
Your question is a bit late to ask at this point. You may still have a chance to purchase QBD 2021 Premier for 5 users with the one time license.
@SmallTownTNBiz Are you SURE you want to migrate to QBO? As an accountant, I believe QBO is inferior to QBDT even with the problems (I suspect) I've experienced with the Windows 11 issue. If you need cloud access for multiple locations to access the QBDT check out https://www.coraltreetech.com/qbox. I've been sharing QBDT with my clients for almost 5 years using this product.
You don't have to use the Print as PDF through QBDT. If you haven't resolved this issue yet, try this. Click on Print>Report (as if you were going to print the report). When the Print reports windows opens click on the dropdown arrow where your printer is listed (Print to: name of printer) choose "Microsoft Print to PDF on Portprompt" (or similar verbiage) as an option. This will save your pdf without having the "component" aspect setup within QBDT. Hope this helps.
SO its 2 years now and you still haven't fixed the compatibility issue between QBDT and Windows 11?
The compatibility between QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and Windows 11 is already resolved, @mdbinder08. Allow me to chime in and provide updates on Windows 11's current compatibility.
This time, the QBDT Pro 2022 or later is already natively compatible with Windows 11, 64-bit. QuickBooks requires that you utilize Windows directly rather than through an emulator or virtual environment. See the following articles for more information:
If you have an older version of QBDT and want to get the most out of it, you might want to update your account to the most recent version. Visit this link for more help: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest version.
Moreover, check out the following articles below on how to update your server manager and fix some installation errors:

Thanks for the reply, however I still am having issues and want to understand. I have a MAC and run Windows 11 in a virtual machine. QB Premier 2016 also runs on this virtual machine. I had been running Windows 8 and upgraded a few months ago to the Windows 11. Since then, all functionality seems to work fine EXCEPT I cannot email invoices.
Any suggestions, fixes, etc?
