Intuits My Time App

Yes, it’s possible, @web360.  You certainly can go back to My Time version 1.2x and I’d be glad to walk you through the process.

Let’s download the app from this link: Get your free My Time. If you’re unable to open it with your MAC, go back to the link and you’ll need to right-click on the Donwload Now. Next, select Copy link address and paste it into another tab then click Enter.2.png

After that, you can close your company file and create a backup of it. Once done, access it again and open My Time.

You’ll want to read through our QuickBooks Desktop for Mac User's Guide for more tips and resources while working with QuickBooks in the future.

You can always count on me if you need anything else with managing your account. I'm always here to address them for you. You have a good one.

Thanks for your reply! The link you mention is for My Time 1.3x. I'd like to know if I can roll back to a previous version as the newest one (1.3x) isn't compatible with my version of QuickBooks desktop.

Please let me know, thanks again.

Intuits My Time App

Hello, web360.

Yes, you can go back to a previous version of the My Time app. You can reinstall it if you still have a backup copy of the installer file, as we have received reports from some users that the previous version worked fine on their end.

Update your QuickBooks desktop version if you no longer have the previous installer. Alternatively, you can set up time tracking and use the timesheet feature to record time manually. Please follow the instructions below:

  1. Go to QuickBooks, then select Preferences.
  2. Click Time Tracking and select the “Keep Track of Time” option.
  3. Choose the first day of your workweek from the First Day of Work Week list.

To learn more about using time tracking, read this article: Enter timesheet in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac. It includes instructions for creating a single activity and a weekly timesheet.

In addition, you can generate time tracking reports to see all the time entries you've recorded. To do this, please go to the Reports menu and select Jobs, Time, and Mileage. After that, choose either Time by Hob SummaryTime by Job DetailsTime by Name, and Time by item.

Don't hesitate to post again if you have further concerns or questions. I'll get back to you as soon as possible to assist you.

Intuits My Time App

I upgraded from 2020 to 2022 on July 28 because My Time was no longer syncing with QB. I discovered in August that there was a glitch in the programs that caused the time I submitted to appear on invoices with 2042 as the year, instead of 2022. QB has not resolved the issue.  I received an email on October 4, directing me to upgrade to 2023, which I did. My Time does not sync with 2023 so I spent an hour on the phone last week with support, deleting 2023 and going back to 2022.  However, during the call, we were unable to restore the connection between My Time and QB.  I can launch My Time from QB, but I cannot submit time from My Time to QB. I had to leave that chat for a meeting so tried to call again today.  I spoke to two people over a 20 minute period. The first said he would transfer me to a My Time expert.  The person he transferred me to had never heard of My Time, insisted it was not an Intuit product and said I would have to call My Time directly.

How can I get in touch with someone who can help?

Intuits My Time App

Hi there, @NBGlaw. I'm here to share some steps to help fix the connection issue between your My Time app and QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT).

I appreciate you sharing details of your concern. In addition to that, we can configure the setting of the integration to ensure the data from My Time will sync to QBDT. Here's how:

  1. In your QuickBooks Time account, click the QuickBooks drop-down.
  2. Next, choose Preferences and make any desired changes. Feel free to visit this link for detailed info: About QuickBooks Integration Preferences.
  3. Then, from the Employee Timesheets Should Show page, select the information you'd like your employees tracking time against: Customers/Jobs, Service Items, Billable yes/no, or Class.
  4. If you'd also like to import your Vendors as Employees in QuickBooks Time, simply click the Other Options, button. The data from QuickBooks are automatically imported.

For reference about the process, please check this article: Setup and use QuickBooks Desktop for Windows and QuickBooks Time integration.

When finished, attempt to submit time again. If the issue persists, I recommend contacting the My Time support team again. If in case you're unable to be directly routed to the My Time representative, you can request the agent on the line to help transfer you.

Please let me know how this goes. I'd love to know updates about this. Feel free to post here again if you have any other questions about the integration of My Time and QBDT. Have a great day ahead and take care.

My question is not about Quickbooks Time.  It is about the My Time app.

We recognize the inconvenience caused by this syncing issue with your My Time app with QuickBooks, @NBGlaw.

As one of our representatives mentioned, it's best to contact the My Time support team. There could be some settings that need to be configured in your My Time app so that it will sync to QuickBooks successfully.

To do this, you can proceed to their page to have an idea of how to contact one of their support agents.

Additionally, I'm sharing this link you can utilize for future use to set up and track time off, vacation, and sick pay for your employees: Set up and track time off.

Feel at ease to comment below if you have other concerns with syncing the My Time app with QuickBooks. I'm around to help you out always. Keep safe!

Intuits My Time App

I am experiencing the same issue. I just upgraded to QB 2023 Desktop for Mac and I am unable to export my time to QB. It asks me to open Quickbooks.

However, when I'm in QB and I select, Employees > Time Tracking > Launch My Time it opens up the My Time app so it does recognize it.

There is NO support on the My Time page and it identifies itself as an Intuit product. It would be greatly appreciated if you could connect us with someone who can support this product.

Thank you.

I know this has been very challenging for you, beezdezines. I appreciate you performing some steps so you can sync the My Time app to your QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

We have an ongoing issue where My Time 1.3 information dated for 2042 in QuickBooks Mac 2022 after clicking Send to QuickBooks. Rest assured, our engineers are working together on the permanent fix. As a workaround, we can enter time activities directly into QuickBooks, or find the time records which could have a future date out into 2042. Here's an article you can refer to for more details about entering timesheets in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

Once done, please contact our QuickBooks Desktop for Mac Support Team to add you to the list of affected users. They'll also send you an email notification once there's an update on this case. Also, to ensure that you can sync the app, you can consider upgrading your Mac operating system. Here's how:

  1. Choose System Preferences from the Apple menu, then click Software Update to check for updates.
  2. If any updates are available, click the Update Now button to install them.

For more information about this app, you can check out these articles:

For more resources, while tracking your time and other entries, you can also open the topics from our help articles as your guide in the future: Related topics for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac.

We're always available to help you. You're welcome to post again if you need anything else. Have a great day.
