I just called Quickbooks to add a user to our stand alone version 2021 and was told as of May, we will no longer be able to email invoices from within quickbooks unless we upgrade. Quickbooks had a great reputaion for helping small business and now they are virtually making everyone upgrade.

They support QB Desktop 2021 until May 2024. The person you spoke to would basically prefer you to buy a new license for QBD 2022. She/he might not get a commission for selling additional seats. You can purchase the additional seat for your existing license from partners/resellers. Contact us in private for assistance.

What? Can they degrade our QBPro 2021 functionality?
This is crazy. I am emailing invoices all the time, via SMTP.
This makes me angry.
It looks like Google is disabling 'less secure apps' access at the end of May.
Quickbooks sending invoices will die... at least for Gmail accounts. Especially if we do not want to log in to Intuit.
We have been using the invoice email feature since it started, and our customers were just beginning to warm up to it. Especially since the United States Postal Service is unreliable to even deliver mail in a timely manner these days and since we have had many instances in our area where checks were stolen and altered straight out of the postal services' own mailboxes.
I am extremely sad that Intuit is suspending their services for QB desktop users. What a rip off to pay $349/year and $3 per transaction. How much more can small businesses take? They are the reason QB has a purpose. Without small businesses there would be no need for QB. What a way to show their appreciation...not! They are asking for a too big of a piece of the pie!
We will find a way without QB support.
