How can I tell what QuickBooks version I have

Nice question, wagsandwiggles.

You'll know which version of QuickBooks Online (QBO) you're using in the Account and Settings window. I'll show you how to do it below:

  1. Login to your account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon. Then, choose Account and settings.
  3. Select the Billing & Subscription tab. From there, you can see the version of QuickBooks you're using.

Learn more about managing your accounts by visiting this link: Account management.

In case you're planning on upgrading or downgrading your subscriptions, check out these articles:

I'm just one post away if you need a hand with running your business or any QBO related. You have a good one.

How can I tell what QuickBooks version I have

I don't have access to the "accounts and settings" - I'm not the Admin (just staff).  Is there another way to find which version of Quickbooks Online?

What if you don't have access to that link?  I'm not the Admin. (I'm a Staff member).  I do have Subscriptions and Billing, but the screen doesn't look anything like that.  It only has a way to pay for the subscription, etc

I appreciate the fast reply, @CPANewUser.

Thank you for clarifying the situation. I have other ways for you to know which version of Quickbooks Online you have.

Is this what your billing and subscription page shows? If so, you can see your QuickBooks version in the Plan Details section.

If your billing page shows different, I'd recommend going to our Plan and Pricing page. From there, find the subscription amount you paid so you can identify what version you're currently using. Please note that QuickBooks offers different discounts depending on the type of subscription plan. In addition, the discount rate will change from time to time.

Alternatively, you can contact your administrator and ask for the exact version of QuickBooks.

Feel free to visit our QuickBooks Online tutorial videos. This page contains step-by-step clips on how to manage your Intuit charges, subscriptions, and other related matters.

I'd very much like to work with you again to address other QuickBooks-related concerns. Be sure to take a break and stay in good health.

Thank you for reaching out to us, Ipblue.

May I know what QuickBooks product you're using so we can address properly your concern? If your QuickBooks Online (QBO) is expired, you'll be prompted to resubscribe and can use the same payment method and billing frequency you had on your previous subscription to resubscribe.

On the other hand, you can manage your QuickBooks Desktop account and services with the Customer Account Maintenance Portal (CAMPAs).

Additionally, you'll have the option to update payment and firm information and change the address or phone number, I've added these articles that will guide you as your reference:

Let us know if you're referring to something else or if you have any other concerns about QuickBooks. We're here to assist you always. Have a nice day!

Hi there, @dberends67. It's important to check your billing subscription with QuickBooks Online (QBO) to ensure you have the right features and support for your business. I'm here to help you view it successfully.

It looks like you've already gone through the steps provided by my colleagues regarding viewing your company plan. However, please know that there's a new update on how to check which version is currently billed to you. Let me guide you through the updated steps so you can easily access this information.

  1. Open your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Gear icon.
  3. Under Profile, select Subscriptions and billing.

Once there, you can now see which plan is billed to you.

For reference, please check out this article: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

Moreover, if you have invited other people to help you with your business, you can do so. To help you with that, please read this article: Add and manage custom roles in QuickBooks Online.

You can always tag me in the comments if you have other concerns about viewing your billings and subscription in QBO. I'm always ready to assist you.

In our account, "Billings/Subscriptions" doesn't appear. What else can we look under? (we are guiding our clients to find this as well and the client I'm speaking with didn't have it either.)

Thanks for confirming your situation in this forum, YML_SD. We'll perform a couple of troubleshooting steps so you and your client can view the Billing and Subscription in QuickBooks Online.

One of the reason why missing tabs or minor issues keeps appearing in your QuickBooks company is due to the browsers cache. With that, I recommend you and client clear browser's cache to resolve or minimize these issues that can affect the company display.

I also suggest logging in to your account in a private window to verify the Subscription and Billing tab is available under the Gear icon section.

Use the following hotkeys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Aside from that, you can also use other supported browsers to get the best experience when using QuickBooks Online.

Once everything is fine, I’m sharing this article to help you learn how to update your credit card details, make changes to your subscription, or view your billing history: Manage billing, payment, and subscription info in QuickBooks Online.

Additionally, if you regularly use certain features in QuickBooks, you can customize the default display to prioritize what matters most to you. Refer to this page on how to do it: Get started and adjust settings in QuickBooks Online.

We are still here to provide other solutions to aid your QuickBooks Online displays and preferences. Update us in the Comment section and we'll be there to guide and help you.
