Good Morning, @nbfinance.
It's great to see you back in the Community. I can provide you with some insight into what a Merchant Services account is and if there's a limit on accepting payments through credit cards.
A Merchant Services (QuickBooks Payments) account offers you credit card processing and online payment gateways and support. The system lets you accept credit cards, debit cards, and ACH bank transfers. As far as I know, some users have a limit of how much they can get paid online within a 30-day rolling period. The limit is determined by the processing volume or the online payments you’ve taken for the past 30 days. Once you reach the processing limit, your customer won’t be able to pay online until it is reinstated. Although, you can still receive cash or check payments for your invoices.
As an additional option, consider opening a MP account as the backup solution to manage your daily limit to accept online payment.

What is an MP account
If you are running a B2C company, you can open a separate Melio account for free to accept credit card payments for free.

Okay, so the question was never answered. What are the limits and how do we find them. IS the max charge $1,000, 10,000, or 100,000? When you client gets rejected are you supposed to tell them you have no clue? Do you have to break up the invoice? Intuit cannot be any more vague? How many charges? What is the charge limit in terms of number of charges per day, per month?
There is no page that tells a person the status of their intuit account.
I can see how you wanted to know the limit when accepting payments via credit card, muenstermann.
We value the confidentiality of your account. That's the reason why we never created a page that tells the status of any of your Intuit accounts. Our community page is designed for people to discuss an organization or topic. This offers a destination for members of an online community to gather, communicate, and build relationships with each other. Thus, this is considered public.
Since we're unable to pull up your account, I suggest reaching out to the QuickBooks Payments Support team so they can review and pull up your account securely. They have also the tools to pull them up securely.
To learn more about the payment limit, check out this article: Online payments and processing limits.

This data is easy enough that it should be on the businesses home page, or at least linked to that page. All banks let you know what the limits are on all of your accounts. All credit card companies do. All retail outlets do. Only Intuit likes to bury that business critical information instead of being transparent?
Is Intuit so archaic that they do not know how to do something so simple? Instead wait until the business has a refusal on a solid 6 figure charge and have to deal with a client that is angry? Only to find out, that if you want to know your limits. you must call. Then, maybe wait for 10-30 minutes for someone to pick up the phone from intuit, 3-5 minutes to research your account, and then get back to your client to tell them your sorry, but....?
This happened to our business. It was frightening and we had no idea so many bad things would happen from receiving a payment over their random monthly limit.
Yes, it is up to you--the merchant account holder--to know these arbitrary limits and avoid ever going over. Note that this limit is NOT readily accessible in your merchant account portal (you have to call or review your original terms & conditions to find out your business's limit). If you don't sell tiny widgets and are a services organization with larger invoices, yes, this means you have to divide them up and receive them over time to avoid going over. The first Intuit response here is VERY misleading (answering about quantity of transactions only, not addressing the cumulative monthly limit you definitely, absolutely do have). Be very careful!!!!!!
...Or better yet, try REALLY hard to not allow your clients to pay by credit card or ACH through your QuickBooks/Intuit Payments merchant account. Waiting a few days for a check or an ACH transfer outside or this system is so worth it!
I need to know is there a limit amount I can charge per day??
Some QuickBooks Payments users have a limit on how much they can charge and get paid online, especially for ACH (bank transfer) or credit card in a 30-day rolling period, @Rcbaxter. Thus, the limit amount you can charge depends on the number of transactions and their figures.
When you reach the processing limit, your customers won't be able to pay online until your limit refreshes. They need to pay in cash or checks to settle their balance.
You can contact our Merchant Service or QuickBooks Payments Support team to check how much the limit you have to get paid online. With their tools, they can give you more details about it. Our representatives can also verify the exact amount you can charge per day and per transaction.

Are you running a B2B or B2C company?
Hello All,
I am currently using Quickbooks Merchant Services. I am trying to find out how I can have my per transaction limits raised. For example, when I send out an Invoice to my clients for more than $50,000, they can only make a payment of $50,000 at a time. Then if the invoice is above the $50,000, they have to process a second payment for the balance remaining. How can i have my limits raised so that my clients only have to process the payment once. Please let me know.
Regards,
Giorgio
Good day, Giorgio!
The average daily and monthly payment limit is based on your banking and processing history, as well as your credit score.
To check if we can increase your limit, you can contact our QuickBooks Payments Team. They can pull up your account and review your transaction history. Here's how:

As I know, $49,999 is the maximum amount you can accept for QB payments with CC. You need to use a 3rd party solution to receive more than this amount on a single charge. If you are running a B2B company, you can check this one to integrate with QB.
