I used to have a payment link where I could print out a sign with QR code and receive a payment , I have not used it for a while and cannot find where this feature is ?

Let me guide you on how you can find the payment feature you need, joemang1969.

I QuickBooks Online (QBO), we have the QuickBooks invoicing feature where customers pay by credit card, Apple Pay, or free bank transfer—right in their online invoices. Just sign up for QuickBooks Payments for your customers to pay invoices online.

Once done signing up, you can now accept customer payments for online invoices. Just refer to this article for the steps and details: Take and process payments in QuickBooks Online.

To learn more about this one, check out the Get paid faster with QuickBooks invoicing article.

I have a link here that provides you with articles about processing customer payments: Process customer payments with QuickBooks.

I'm just one click away if you need a hand with customizing your sales form or any QBO related. I'm always here to help. Tale care always.

Hi, joemang1969.

I can share some insights regarding the payment link you're using in QuickBooks Online.

You'll need to send an email to your customers for them to pay their invoices online. Intuit PaymentNetwork solutions, GoPayment, and Merchant Services combine into single payments accounts to help you get paid faster.

To know more about this update, you can go through this article for the detailed steps and instructions: Frequently asked questions regarding changes to your Intuit PaymentNetwork account when you update t...

I'm including these articles to help guide you more about the QuickBooks Payments as well as their standard pricing:

INTUIT PAYMENTS STANDARD PRICING SCHEDULE (U.S. only).

Feel free to get back to me if you have any other payment concerns. I'd be glad to provide you additional assistance.

I'm not referring to Invoices ...I would use this link to accept donations for my public art performances  which I have been using Venmo for recently

Just wondering if this option is no longer available or if quickbooks has any sort of option to just accept a payment without creating invoice?

Thanks for coming back to this thread, joemang1969.

I'll share some information about the payment network account migration.

As mentioned above, our QuickBooks Merchant Service, GoPayment, and Intuit Payment Network (the one that you're using in receiving payments via QR code) have been combined into a single program which is QuickBooks Payments to improve your experience and help you get paid faster.

Please know that your IPN account has been updated to a QuickBooks Payments account that combines the Intuit Payment Network functionality emailed invoice payments with additional features to streamline the process of creating transactions. Using your QuickBooks Payments Account, you can securely email an invoice with the Pay now button. Since you just need to accept a payment without creating/sending invoices, you'll want to use the mobile payments of the QuickBooks. Once you'll subscribe, we’ll send you a free card reader that enables you to accept payments on your iPhone, iPad, Android, or tablet, via the QuickBooks Mobile app.

In addition, you won’t see new QuickBooks activity at ipn.intuit.com. Instead, you’ll need to go to the Merchant Service Center. (Log in using your QuickBooks Online credentials.)

I recommend getting in touch with our Customer Care Team so that we can pull your account then guide you in setting up the mobile payments feature. You can refer to this link to connect with us: Contact Payments Support. I also encourage checking out our support hours to make sure that we address your concerns on time.

You can read this article to know how long it takes to get customer payments in your bank account after you process them: Find out when QuickBooks Payments deposits customer payments.

Do you have any other questions in mind? Feel free to leave them below and I'll get back to you as quickly as I can.

I also need to generate a generic link that people can use to pay. I have a client with several overdue invoices that wants to pay with one payment. Can I create a link so they can pay and manually link to the appropriate outstanding regular and finance charges invoices? (I'm using QB 2020 desktop.)

Please answer the question about a generic link, like what used to exist in the IPN platform. Do not provide information about creating and sending invoices to clients. That's not the solution to my question or to the original question posed above.

Ultimately, I'd like to include the generic link in the Statement Template so clients can click it and type in the amount they want to pay.

I’m glad to provide information to ensure customers can pay you online, @soucep.

As mentioned above, QuickBooks combined the previous options into a single program which is QuickBooks Payments.

You can send one invoice link to your customer that wanted to pay a one-time payment. They can click the Edit option in the Payment Amount section so your customer can enter the whole amount they owe.

Then you can manually record the payment you’ve received to clear other invoices. Here’s how:

  1. Go to the Customers menu and select Receive Payments.
  2. Select the customer from the Received From ▼dropdown.
  3. In the transactions section, select the checkbox next to the invoice you want to apply the payment to.
  4. Select the payment method, then Save & Close.

You can visit this reference to learn more about the instructions: Receive and process payments in QuickBooks Desktop.

Another way is to create custom payment links. Payment links is a QuickBooks Desktop payment tool that can be used to collect payments. This feature is for single use with a single customer. Check out this article for complete information: Payment Links for QBDT.

I’m always here to lend a hand whenever you need help with payments or anything else. Take care!

Hello, I too would like to create one generic link that I send to multiple people and then they can decide the amount they want to pay. Is this possible?

Yes, it is possible, @Anonymous.

You'll want to sign up for QuickBooks Payments so you can process your customers' payments seamlessly. This allows them to pay their invoice online by credit card or ACH bank transfer.

To sign up, you can follow these simple steps:

  1. Go to the Customers menu in your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT)
  2. Select Add Credit Card Processing.
  3. Then follow the onscreen steps and fill out the form to apply

You can also check this link for more details: Sign up for QuickBooks Payments.

Once done, you can now add a generic link in sending online invoices to your customers. When your clients pay you, you can refer to these links on how to handle their payments.

Need further assistance setting up your payments? Please don't hesitate to tag me in your reply. I'll be more than happy to work with you again.

@Anonymous

QB Payment links are only for a single use with a single customer. You have to generate a new payment link per customer payment. You will need to have a 3rd party payment processor to share a generic shareable multi-use payment link. Explore these options:

How about a QR Code that works with GoPayment. The only generate a QR Code I find is for employees to check in and out of work. We use Quickbooks online and GoPayment and would like to create a QR Code that would allow us to process donations via QR Code.

Hi there,

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community about this feature. I'm here to assist you with your concern about generating QR codes in QuickBooks GoPayment.

I agree this would be beneficial to many users using GoPayment. Not just to save time in entering donations but also to streamline the process.

Please know our product engineers provide updates regularly to improve the features and options. As we assess this, I recommend sending feedback about the QR Code feature to our product engineers.

We also make changes and adjustments based on user feedback. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Merchant Service Center.
  2. Sign in to your QuickBooks account.
  3. Click Feedback in the upper-right corner.

Also, did you know you can update your info like the User ID, email, or password? I've attached an article you can check out for more information about how to manage your Payments account: Access and manage your QuickBooks Payments account.

Drop me a comment below if you have any other questions regarding using GoPayment or requesting features. We'll be happy to help you some more. Keep safe.
