I keep getting an error "Nothing to print. No Statements were created." I know there are invoices in this time frame and nothing is coming up.
Getting rid of the error message prompt you received while printing your invoice is my priority, @ThePrintGuy1.
In QuickBooks Desktop, you can download a tool and use its function to fix printing issues so you can print invoices successfully. Let me walk you through the steps on how you can accomplish this.
Let the tool run for up to 30 min and restart your computer once done before running QuickBooks. But if the same error message still pops up, I'd recommend following the Step 4 and 5 instructions outlined in this article: How to Resolve Printing Issues in QuickBooks Desktop?

The message you're getting is a vexing and misleading message. With its long history, since the beginning of QuickBooks time, I'd think Intuit would have revised it. But no.
What it really means is, "Based on your statement settings there aren't any statements to print because all customers have (somehow) been excluded."
For example, you might have chosen a sub-set of customers and then also that they must have a customer balance that is greater than any of those customers have.
When creating statements, the options shown selected below are probably the most permissive. The settings highlighted in yellow are all restrictive. If you have any of them selected, consider - as a test - de-selecting them and see if statements are created:
Also,
- Make sure the Statement Date is current, to pick up all open transactions.
- If creating statements for a period, make sure the From and To date range is long enough to pick up activity.
I successfully moved my quickbooks to a new computer. My only issue is trying to create and email my monthly statements.
It says there is nothing to print, no outstanding invoices...
It looks like it would print them out, but it won't email
Thanks for confirming that you're able to print the statements, jjewelty.
Let perform some basic troubleshooting steps to ensure that the statements will be sent. Usually, this problem happens when the QuickBooks installer becomes corrupted during the transfer or migration.
To get rid of the error, we can run the Install Diagnostic Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. For the best experience, we recommend utilizing this tool on Windows 10, 64-bit. When you're ready, here's how to install the software:
After that follow these steps to use the diagnostic utility:
Once done, set up your email service in QuickBooks Desktop again and then try sending a sample statement. For more solutions, I recommend reading this article: Fix errors related to damaged MSXML and C++.

The error was with emailing statements, not printing them. I called tech support and was told that emailing statements is no longer a function on versions of QuickBooks Desktop prior to 2020. Moving QuickBooks to the new computer must have been the trigger to end it for me.
I appreciate your prior efforts, Frank331. Let me share some information regarding QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) discontinuation policy.
To confirm, yes, emailing statements is no longer a function supported by the discontinued QuickBooks Desktop 2020 version along with QuickBooks Desktop Pro, QuickBooks Desktop Premier, QuickBooks Desktop Solutions, QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, QuickBooks Premier Accountant, and QuickBooks Enterprise Solutions.
Starting from May 31, 2022, all versions of 2021 will be discontinued. After that, you won’t be able to access live support for help with issues such as accessing Payroll and Payments, online banking, and integrating with other Intuit-supported services.
I'm also adding this article for more information: QuickBooks Desktop service discontinuation policy.

Hi, If I have QuickBooks desktop pro-2023, can I still send statements through the platform?
I have done everything in this site, and nothing is working.
Hi I have Quickbooks Desktop pro 2023. Can I still send the statements though the platform?
Yes, @Limary. You can send statements to your customers using your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) Pro 2023 account.
I know that being able to send statements using the platform is significant for you. However, to provide you with the best possible solution, may I ask if you received any error messages?
If you're not receiving any error messages, please follow these steps to send statements accurately.
2. Select the Intuit Standard Statement for the Template.
3. If the Create One Statement is blank, choose Per Customer or Per Job from the drop-down.
4. Ensure the customer has a functional email address and has selected appropriate email preferences:
If the emails still fail, the issue can be an overflow error. You can follow these steps to prevent it from happening.
In addition, I'll be adding this helpful resource that matters most to your business using your QBDT Pro 2023: Customize customer, job, and sales reports in QuickBooks Desktop.
I've got your back on this matter. You can always come back to us if there's anything else you need further assistance with sending statements to your customers. I'd be glad to assist you at any given time.
I can create the statements, I can print them, I can print them in pdf form... What I cannot do is send the statements through the quickbooks platform because it says "nothing to print. no statements were created. There are not outstanding invoices....."
Thank you for providing the exact error message you received when attempting to send statements through QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), Limary. This information helps identify potential solutions and ensure a smoother workflow moving forward.
First, ensure you've set up functional emails in the Send Forms Preferences. You can refer to the steps shared by my colleague Sherrie above. This way, you can smoothly transmit statements to your customers.
After doing so, if you're still unable to send statements or get the same prompt message, I suggest running the Verify/Rebuild tool. This will help detect system errors or damaged data and refresh the QuickBooks company file.
Before performing this process, please create a backup copy of your company file so that if changes occur, you can restore and undo it easily.
First, let's rebuild the data.
To ensure your file has no errors or data damage, we can verify your company data.
The troubleshooting steps outlined above should help you overcome the prompt message you received. By following these measures diligently, we aim to resolve any issues swiftly and effectively. If you have additional questions regarding sending statements through QBDT, please tap the Reply button. I'll be more than happy to help you further, Limary.
