Is anyone else having issues contacting Intuit? I've tried to use the chat feature for the last couple of days... but it doesn't appear to be working?

Can someone help me? I'm trying to learn how to buy the online version as I want to convert from the Desktop Accountant 2016. I've lost my 4 company files, for some reason the back ups don't exist so I found backups from a year ago and want to start here but afraid I will lose my company files again. Can someone helps me with this issue and walk me through converting from Desktop to online?

 If you want to purchase QuickBooks Online (QBO), I recommend contacting our support team. They have the proper tools to place an order or subscription depending on what version suits your company and the core features that will help you run your business. 

 

Once you already have the online version, you can use this article for the steps on how to convert your company file from QuickBooks Desktop to Online: Move your QuickBooks Desktop file to QuickBooks Online.

 

To ensure that your books match, you can run one of your financial reports in QuickBooks Desktop and Online to check if your import is successful.

No one to talk to - have to Chat - get the runaround - sent to a Chat site that doesn't work.  Trying to sell me a new version.

I want to make it up to you by making sure you can contact our support team. Before diving in, let's get the chat site working again. I know the steps on how to achieve this.

 

First, let's use a private browser when accessing the chat site. Private mode prevents storing cache that can cause problems when running websites. Thus, a good place to fix unexpected issues like this.

 

Below are the shortcut keys you can use to access one:

 

  • Ctrl+ Shift + N for Google Chrome A63.PNG.
  • Ctrl + Shift + P for Mozilla Firefox A64.PNG and Microsoft Edge A65.PNG.
  • Command + Shift + N for Safari A66.PNG.

After that, you can go to your QBO account's Help menu to connect with them. 

 

Please note that our agents are available Mondays to Fridays 6 AM to 6 PM PT and Saturday 6 AM to 3 PM PT (for Plus, Essentials, and Simple Start users). If you're a QuickBooks Online (QBO) Advanced user, you can contact them anytime on any day.  

 

For the new Help menu interface:

 

  1. Click the (?) Help icon at the top.
  2. Select the Talk to a human option, and then type it again when prompted.
  3. Choose I still need a human, and then proceed with Contact us.

  4. When asked by the bot, enter your question or concern.
  5. Click Let’s talk.

  6. Select either the Get a call or Start messaging option.

  7. Please follow the on-screen steps to continue.

If it works fine this time, please go back to your original browser and clear its cache. This way, the system will start a clean slate. Otherwise, you can use another supported web engine instead.

WOW!  I'm still trying to contact ANY payroll support at Intuit.  Nothing works.  No phone number, chat doesn't respond. I'm lost to what to do.  HELP!

I appreciate your effort, and I know you’ve been through a lot while trying to connect with Payroll Support. Can you share your concern with me so I can provide the best resolution?


QuickBooks has a new contact feature so customers can reach out anytime while continuing their tasks within the program. You can follow the recommended steps mentioned by my peer @ReyJohn_D since we’re unable to provide you our support contact information.


Due to the high volume of calls, there are customers unable to request an immediate callback and messaging. Rest assured that we’re doing our best to cater who are in need of assistance. I recommend contacting them around 6:00 AM-6:00 PM PT from Monday to Friday.


I have included a list of payroll reports here. This way, you can keep track of your payroll entries by making sure details are all accurate. You can also customize them to focus on the specific information you need.

F U Intuit. 

 

I AM SO FKIN MAD, have wasted nearly 2 hours to try and get a simple question answered by an Agent. AND THERE IS SIMPLY NO WAY TO GET HOLD OF A FKIN AGENT.

 

FINALLY GOT THE CHAT LINK TO SHOW UP as HELP site would not show me as Signed in (from BoA SSO session). I had to login to Intuit locally and so many times as new pop-ups would not again show me as Signed in.

 

And even after all tries, THE CHAT then DOES NOT WORK EITHER. It accepts my information and then turns BLANK.  Cache and other reasons are ALL FKIN BS. 

 

I tried and repeated the whole process thru INCOGNITO mode and still the SAME FKIN ISSUE.

 

YOUR ENTIRE IT TEAM RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS WEBSITE NEEDS TO BE FIRED !!!

 

THE ENTIRE MGMT TEAM ARE SUCH FKIN CROOKS. RECORD PROFITS, RECORD SHARE PRICES AND AMONGST ALL THIS CANCEL DIRECT CALLS TO CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENTS TO SAVE COST AND MAKE IT NEARLY IMPOSSIBLE TO GET HELP OR SIMPLE Q ANSWERED !!!!

Why is the support channels for Chat & Call Back closed?  I need support ASAP!!  My employees payroll direct deposits are not in their accounts & I can't contact anyone!!!!

Thank you for reporting this in the community. There was an issue this morning (April 30th) that prevented some direct deposits from being processed as normal. The good news is, this has now been resolved and we expect to see funds available in your employees' bank accounts by the end of the day today.

I'm having the same issue today with my payroll. Employees can't pay their rent, or their bills. Payroll should be reliable intuit!!!

Phone lines are now open. We temporarily suspended calls to prevent long hold times as we resolved a direct deposit payroll issue.

This is unacceptable, all we pay for is you guys to pay our employees and you can't get it right... I'm going to GUSTO. you all are a bunch of assholes. It's the end of the day NOW 5:52pm and STILL No completed deposits.

This is not the impression I want you to have. The issue has been resolved and your employees should expect to see the funds available in their bank account by end of the day today. And I got confirmation that it's the customer's local time. I'd recommend waiting for more minutes. 

 

If the issue persists, please reach out to support and provide them with the investigation number INV-58265. Let them know that you are impacted by the said issue so they can work with you in setting up a case to investigate. 

 

Here's how: 

 

  1. Go to the Help menu, then Contact Us
  2. Enter direct deposit delay issue in the description box and click Let's talk.
  3. Choose either Start a chat or Get a call
  4. Complete the required information, then you'll route to the next available expert.

I've tried for nearly 2 hours to have a live chat with quickbooks online.  It is impossible.  And no phone number either for customer support.  I just wanted to cancel my subscription.  Looks like I'll just have to instruct the bank not to let the automatic debit go through, since quickbooks doesn't want to communicate.

But, to better isolate if this is a browser issue or not. Let's access QuickBooks Online (QBO) using a private or incognito window. 

 

Here's how you can access private browser: 

 

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N 

  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P 

  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P 

  • Safari: Command + Shift + N 

I know you've already called in. However, I'd still suggest getting in touch with our Customer Care team. This way, they can determine the root cause of your concern.

 

Here's how:

  1. Click the Help menu in the upper-right hand corner.

  2. Type in "Talk to a human", then press Enter.

  3. Look for I still need a human and click on it.

  4. Click Get help from a human or Contact Support Team.

  5. Select between Send a message, Schedule an appointment, or Get a callback.

I have had major issues with the chat since the new Intuit Payroll Core Platform was introduced.  They don't respond and eventually disconnect from me if they can't answers.  I am trying to get the same reports I used to generate from Intuit Online payroll.  I need general ledger codes on reports and reports that can be exported into a CSV file.  I was told this could not happen.  I asked why if I could generate these reports before?  See chat attached.  This happened 3 to 4 times already which resulted in hours of time to get no where.   The Support Team Member just decides to disconnect.  I will definitely be looking for a new payroll application.  I only have 20 employees but none the less, its important to have a payroll system to gives you what you need and interacts with your accounting software.

Also, our goal is to provide the best service at all times. It could be possible that the representative experienced a system issue that results in the disconnection. 

 

To help export reports into a CSV file, here's what you need to do:

 

  1. Open the report.
  2. Choose the Excel drop-down at the top of the report.
  3. Click Create New Worksheet.
  4. On the Send Report to Excel window, select Create a comma-separated values (.csv) file.
  5. Click Export.
  6. Assign a file name, then select the location where you want to save the file.
  7. Locate, open, and edit the file as needed.

Thank you for your quick response Rubielyn.  Unfortunately, the report I need is not available because none of them include general ledger codes for employees.  I also can cannot export my payroll transactions again.  It states I no longer have any transactions to export.  So it seems to be "once and done" for the payroll export.  How can I run the export again?  I think you may have given me the info for quickbooks online but I am on Quickbooks Online Payroll Core and it seems that many of the features from our old Intuit Online Payroll system does not exist.

Well, the issue is back.... one year later!! I can't get through by phone or their "Help". The error message says they're too busy to call, for crimeny sakes!

I need to talk directly to someone. I need to cancel Payroll but have been unsuccessful for months.   I have had Paychex payroll service since January 2021. Call me directly.  I am so upset about your service.
