Hello Glinette
thank you for pitching into the conversation here.
could you confirm that Quickbooks Online will not have any of the features we have been asking about?
specifically: inventory control, purchase orders, client roster with B2B website…
it’s important for us all here to understand if Quickbooks Online will have the features we rely on to run our business.
we are not worried about accounting and bookkeeping
please help us 🥹
You're very much welcome, Incausa.
QuickBooks Online has basic inventory and purchase order features. Inventory functionality is only available for QuickBooks Online Plus and Advanced.
I'm sharing these articles to learn more about these two features:
Consider looking for a third-party application as an alternative that can integrate with QuickBooks if the option does not meet all your inventory needs. You can find advice on which app to use by going to the Apps menu in your QBO account and searching for one that meets your business demands.
Keep me posted if you have other questions. I'm pleased to address them.
Hello again Glinette.
thank you for the reply, we are getting close to a full answer to our questions.
So I understand now online has some po features and that the “plus” version has some extra inventory features.
Final Question, please answer:
What about the B2B portal connected to the inventory.
Please clarify if there are any plans to offer the B2B portal inside Quickbooks Online or Plus.
Glinette, do you understand how we were all using QuickBooks Commerce? (Please do not forget to answer about the B2B Feature)
Hello, Incausa.
The option to add the B2B portal to the inventory is currently unavailable. You may want to look for a 3rd party app to connect your b2b portal to the inventory. In the meantime, I recommend sending Feedback to our engineers. This way, they can review your suggestion and may consider it for future updates.
You'll want to track your suggestion through this website. You can also take this article for more details about inventory management: Add inventory products in QuickBooks Online.
Please let me know if you have additional questions. I'm always here to help. Stay safe and well!
I can't even explain my frustration with this situation. I was actually transitioning from another inventory program into Commerce. I had to create a new Quickbooks Online account and transition into Quickbooks Commerce. I lost a LOT of money in the transition trying to get everything right. The only reason I was ok with the losses was because this was a long term investment where I would not need to change inventory and e-commerce management programs again and would have long term support through Quickbooks. We should at the very least be refunded for all expenses regarding Quickbooks Commerce.
Thanks for bringing this up on the QuickBooks Community page, @alexanderp.
I'd love to help you in processing the refund, but the ability to pull up your billing details is done by our Customer Care Team. This way, we'll be able to protect your personal information. That said, I recommend contacting our representative to send a request. Here's how:

Thanks for coming to the Community. I look forward to hearing from you again.
This still doesn't completely answer the question I and many others on this thread have about what will and will not be available come August. We did an incredibly expensive transition out of the "stand alone" Commerce already to a bundled Quickbooks purchase just this past May. We need B2B functionality out of Commerce with Sales Orders and inventory management. Will these features be taken away? When we have a bundled Quickbooks and Commerce purchase, is this what you mean by the phase out of the stand alone product? Because the stand alone product was already phased out!
Intuit needs to provide clear information what is actually going on here and if they are completely shutting it down they need to provide more time for all these businesses to find other software solutions. This is God-awful business practice.
I understand that this has been a challenge for you, Ben. And I appreciate your patience in this matter.
To help you clear things out. The standalone QuickBooks Commerce inventory management product is discontinued and won't be available for use after August 31, 2023.
The discontinuation of this as a standalone is a strategic decision to focus on building e-commerce capabilities directly within QuickBooks Online.
I also see where you're coming from since you've purchased this bundled with QuickBooks Online. And the B2B functionality is valuable for your inventory management.
For this reason, we provide e-commerce accounting features inside QuickBooks Online, which includes the ability to automatically bring in your payouts from your connected online sales channels (Amazon, Shopify, and eBay Connectors). These connectors are not being phased out.

If you have more questions about managing your QuickBooks Online subscription, don't hesitate to reply to this thread. I'll be willing to lend a hand. Keep safe.
Several of our clients are exploring a 3rd party inventory management app with B2B features to replace QB Commerce and integrate it with QBO. The plans are $67/month for 3 users and $125/month for 8 users. I believe this app is one of the cheapest options available in the market. They also offer data migration services from QB Commerce starting at $40.
What is the app? And does it offer Purchase Orders as well?
I am sure there are a few Apps that can be great alternatives to QuickBooks Commerce. It would be great if QuickBooks provided a list of options. Every business works differently and one App can be great for a company and not as good for another.
I can only reply for Erplain, we do provide Purchase orders, Sales orders, Shipping orders, multiple stock locations, custom price levels, and B2B Store (B2B ecommerce) among other features. Our pricing is very competitive.
Hello again Arnaud,
thank you for the follow up and please you are super right to be here offering alternatives for everyone loosing their backbone wholesale ecom systems since Quickbooks is killing the product we have all been using for nearly a decade
Arnaud, I was already looking into Erplain but I just cannot find the B2B store feature, can you link it on your reply, I only see a B2C POS feature on the descriptions.
PS: I am hoping that quickbooks can give us more time to transition out of “Tradegecko” “again”
Bryan,
Will Quickbooks Online have a B2B Webstore at all at any point?
And are you guys considering giving us more time for this transition?
Our whole business backbone depends on this product… we are so upset, we had been with TradeGecko since their very beginning!

Shame on Quickbooks. I spent too much money switching to Tradegecko to Commerce to Quickbook Commerce and now leaving us completely high and dry with no solution and thousands in costs over the last couple years.
We updated our listing on the QuickBooks Apps store to ensure it shows the B2B Store. The short video is also new.
Let me know if you have any questions.
Happy to help!
Has anyone found a new software solution to use to replace the features in Commerce? If so, please help! Thank you.
Send me a private message and we can introduce you to one recommended app to integrate with QBO and migrate data from QB Commerce.
Did you check erplain? What specific features are you looking for?
Please contact us if you have any questions!
Data Exporter Tool is not where online it says it supposed to be. When I'm in Commerce I click on the Gear Icon (Settings) and guess what no Data Exporter option. And customer service tells me that the people in that department are gone for the day. You're discontinuing a product and are not even providing extended business hours.
Follow these steps to access the tool:
Here's what on May 5, 2023 it looks like clicking the Gear Icon are the options I have. As you can see no Data Exporter.
This is exactly what I have been told via the QSP channel
We are testing Zoho Inventory. Anyone else?
I like the UI and that zoho has several other apps - hopefully they all work very nicely together.
Im finding the Composite Items (bundles/kits in TG) are handled different. Zoho wants you to designate material qtys to finished products, as if you made them and put them on the shelf ready to sell. This is good and bad I think...
I've talked to Zoho and their inventory client base is small. Maybe if enough of us started using it, we could make it great?
Zoho is a good option to consider for a retailer/wholesaler.
But if you are running a manufacturing company/workshop, I would recommend another app.
