Good afternoon, @msgraham425.
Allow me to add some clarification to the verification process you're seeing in QuickBooks Online (QBO). If you're being asked to verify your account upon every single log-in, it's because Two-Step Authentication has been enabled on your account. If you'd like to disable this, you can do so using the steps below:
Disabling Two-Step Authentication
These instructions are also available from our guide on disabling two-step authentication. Once this feature is disabled, you will only be asked to verify your account when you log in from a new device (PC or mobile), a new browser, or when you clear or reset your current browser's cached data. Please know you can always reach me here for all of your QuickBooks needs. Thanks for coming to the Community, cheers to a grand and successful New Year ahead.
What would be the reason for the constant login verification with pictures and required text code when the two-factor authentication is disabled (and has never been enabled)? This issue has occurred in both Chrome and Firefox -- and I'm tired of "clear your cookies and cache" as the standard support response.
Hi there, @PracticeAdmin.
Thanks for joining the Community today. I can share some information about why you need to verify your account upon logging in to QuickBooks Online.
Your account's security is our top priority. Passwords, on their own, are not always secure if someone gets your password, they can access your account and make unauthorized changes. This is why we enhanced our security and added multi-factor authentication and Two-step Verification.
Multi-factor authentication is an extra layer of security, which you may be asked to enter a one-time confirmation code, which provides extra protection for your password. The code will be sent to your email or mobile device. However, you have the option to opt these verification by following the steps that colleague MichaelDL provided above.
If you need additional assistance about this concern feel free to reach Customer Care Team. You can reach them through the contact details found in this link: Contact the QuickBooks Online Customer Support team.

I need to disable the forced intuit online as I dont need anything from quickbooks online and the constant forcing me to login when I send an invoice is annoying and unessecary... WHY do you do this...
Hello there, @FU5.
Thanks for posting here in the Community. I'm here to help share some details about disabling the login process when paying an invoice.
I've tried sending an invoice on my end and it's not letting me log in to my account. In this case, I'd suggest reaching out to our Merchant Services Team. This team is the best resource for such inquiries for they'll be able to discuss with you about your account's verification and provide the option to disable the login page.

I tried starting a new discussion but it wouldn't post...so frustrating! Sorry if this is somewhat off toptic.
I have single user QB Pro 2019 desktop for Windows. When accessing Bank Feeds, I'm forced to log in to Intuit. Unfortunately, the previous user's email address is already populated in the log in window and cannot be changed. I've tried saying "forgot my user name/password", but that just takes me to a browser, where I can successfully sign in to Intuit. It does not, however, get me logged into QB. The old email address is not the default email in QB, so I'm not quite sure how or where to get rid of it. Would appreciate any help on this. Thanks.
Hello there, ssg7741.

Now let's start with your concern about the existing Intuit account. Since you're unable to change the previous email address attached, we can try updating the information through the My Company section.
Here's how:
For additional reference, I'm also adding the article I recommend about updating email address:

Thank you so much! I was able to successfully log in and get to Bank Feeds. Unfortunately, I now have an error message OL-206 or OL-301 for many of my feeds. Yikes! I thought they would all transfer correctly when I updated to 2019...is that not the case?
Hi there, ssg7741.
Allow me to step in for a moment. I'm here to help resolve the error code that you're getting.
The error OL-206 or OL-301 usually occurs if you have problems with your internet connection or your Financial Institution is experiencing any outages.
We recommend a few solutions in order to download your bank transactions into QuickBooks Desktop. Let's configure the Internet Explorer (IE) browser first since the software uses IE as the default.
Here's how:
If the error persists, let's follow Step 2 outlined in this article: Fix OL and OLSU Bank Feeds errors in QuickBooks Desktop.
After following these steps, you should be able to access your bank feeds in QuickBooks without any errors.
Please let me know how this goes by leaving a comment below. I'm always to here to help.
I have the same problem when signing in to QB online. It will sometimes go for a couple of weeks of not requiring verification and then I will have to verify two or three times in the same day. It gets very frustrating. A coworker has the same computer system I do and has never had to verify. In response to your explanation above, the two-step verification is disabled, I always use the same computer (imac), the same browser (chrome), and I have never cleared my cache.
Thanks.
Hello there, ldefeo.
If you are you using the same browser and never cleared you cache, it usually won't ask for verification.
I suggest contacting our customer support team so they can further investigate. They also have the tools to screen share with you and they can walk you through how to fix this.
Here's how:
The Community team is always around to help you with your concerns.
I followed the steps from your reply but when I get step # 3, I do not have "Turn Off" , I have "Turn On" which means the Two-Step Authentication is off but I need a code every time I login. Please advise. I really want it off!
Thanks!
Hi, fgjfgjzgh.
I got you covered in turning off the authentication when logging into QuickBooks.
Verifying your identity helps you protect your data and your Intuit account. This is to make sure that you, and only you, can access your account. However, if you wish to remember the system your user ID and password without verifying the account using a code, you can put a check-mark in the Remember my user ID.
If you're still being asked for a code when logging in, you can check your browser settings to prevent on clearing your history's data after closing the browser.
Here's how:

Keep me posted if there's anything else I can help you with login issues in QuickBooks. I'd love to help.
We don't have a Quickbooks on line account yet we have to verify the email address every time we open the company file. We do have the full service payroll through Quickbooks. I tried following the instructions to using to turn off two-factor authentication (as provided) but it comes back and tell me that we do not have an online account. What can we do? This is so annoying.
There’s a possibility that your email is unable to recognize QuickBooks, Juls1.
This is why you are asked to verify every time you log in to the software. To fix this, you can go to your email settings and enable access to less secure apps and sites.
Here’s how to do this for Yahoo mail:
You can check this article if you’re using Gmail: Less secure apps & your Google Account. For other emails, go to your security settings and make sure QuickBooks isn’t blocked.
Though if the issue persist, I’d recommend getting in touch with our technical support team. They'll surely be able to figure this out and help you further with this. Here’s how to reach out to them:

Two-step verification is turned OFF on my account, yet it still asks me to identify bicycles and fire hydrants, and send a code to my cell phone EVERY time I sing in since Monday, 10/19/20. And not before that...
I appreciate you for joining this thread and for performing the given steps above, @kastrup.
To address this issue right away, I recommend reaching out to our support team. They have the tools to check your account securely and perform a screen-sharing session to pinpoint its root cause.

Hi, I just got off the phone with a QB support agent (who was very professional, by the way) and she said there is not a way to turn this off. She says this is not the Two-Step authentication. We went through turning if on and then back off and still it asks be to enter a code that is either texted to me, or emailed to me. It is very inconvenient, and it it every time, which sometimes mean multiple times a day.
I hope you guys can have it fixed some how. Thanks
Thanks for sharing this with the forum, @kastrup,
We recognize your insights regarding the Multi-Factor authentication in QuickBooks Online. While this might take a few clicks to complete, this added security is our way to ensure our customer accounts are safe from possible personal files breach.
Other users also shared some tips for you to not repeatedly go through the process.
First, if you're using a web browser to access the company file, do not use Incognito. This will trigger the program to generate a code because the private window does not save any history.
Accessing the account on the regular browser will allow the cache to save site settings or memorize account history. Just make sure there aren't any third-party apps that will prevent QuickBooks from saving cache.
Secondly, when prompt to verify, some accounts have the option to skip it. This option, however, is available only when you haven't selected the Verify with text message option before. See this:
