Thank you for your response. I actually figured out it was once again an issue with using Safari. Once I logged into Chrome it worked fine. Thank you again.
Thanks for your prompt response, @rhiannon.
Great work! It's good to know that you already figured out the solution before my peer replied.

I am using Chrome but View is not an option for the archived 941 forms. It shows the form and when it was filed, etc but VIEW is not an option under Quickbooks Online and using Chrome. Appreciate any help that you can provide.
Thanks for taking the time to follow along with the thread and sharing your concerns, @vtsarah.
I wanted to check if you have tried clearing your browser's cache, as my colleague, Abegail, mentioned above? If not, I encourage you to give that a try. Web browsers collect cache to save time when loading repetitive data and images. Over time these files can become outdated and corrupted, causing issues like not seeing the view button from the 941 forms.
Once you've cleared the browser's cache, please be sure to restart it so the changes can take effect.
I'll be sure to keep an eye out for your reply, and I look forward to chatting with you soon. Take care!
I do not have a "Forms" section in the Payroll Tax Center. All I see is the accruing taxes. How do I access that sections so that I may print an archived form?
Here is a screenshot of my page
Hi, @AvelaTransport.
I appreciate you for joining the thread and for trying to review your archived tax forms from the Forms section. I'm here to help you access them in QuickBooks so you can print them immediately.
Since you don't see the Forms section, you might be using Payroll Core, Premium, or Elite. In that case, you can access the archive forms following these steps:
On the other hand, I've noticed that you tried to add a screenshot of your Payroll Taxes page, but it wasn't successful. You can attach it again by clicking on the Insert Photos section. This way, I can review your screen further.

I'm having a similar problem. No "View" button on archived forms. Any solutions?
I had the same issue. I could see the forms had been filed, but no way to view the forms themselves. I am using Chrome. When I cleared my cache and refreshed, I then had a VIEW button. THANK YOU!
Hi ahagan and YFRTLM,
Thank you for following the steps suggested by my colleague, AbegailS, above. At this point, it's best to check this further with our QBO Payroll team, so they can get to the bottom of the issue. They use a screen-sharing tool to gather more data and investigate this further.
On the other hand, if you need references for payroll, you can visit the main support page, scroll down a bit, and click More Topics.
I'm just a comment away if you have other questions in mind. Take care and have a good one.
I had the same problem. Turns out if you are signed on as an Accountant, you cannot see any of the data only that it has been accepted etc. When I signed on as the Owner of the company, I was able to see and print it all. I really think that as the Accountant, this information should be accessible for your use!!!
Thanks for letting us know about this, @kwisco01.
I've checked here on my end. I found out that the feature you're trying to access unavailable. I can help you send a feature request to our Product Development Team. This way, they'll see your feedback and consider adding it to the next product update. I'll gladly input the steps below so you can proceed. To begin, here's how:
In addition, I've got you this article in case you'd like to automate the payment process and filing of your tax forms in QBO: Manage automatic tax payments and form filings.
You can also check this page to help you manage you company's information: Edit company settings in QuickBooks Online.
@kwisco01, it'll be my pleasure to help you out again if you have any additional QuickBooks-related concerns. Feel free to post them here in the Community, and I'll make sure to get back to you. Take care, and have a nice day!
I am not using the Accountant mode. I am the Admin and user of the account.
I am not the Accountant. I am the Admin and the main user of the account. I sign in and out of my Qbooks program 50 times a day.
Hello @vtsarah,
Thank you for getting back and providing clarification about the issue. Let me lend a hand so you can view the archived payroll forms in QuickBooks Online.
I recommend following the solution that worked for the user (YFRTLM) from the thread. Missing options usually happen if the browser's stored cache is full.
You can begin by using a private browser to access QuickBooks. By doing so, you'll be able to access sites without storing any data in the cache.
It helps isolate and identify browser-related issues when navigating the payroll section. If you're using Mozilla Firefox or Microsoft Edge, press the CTRL + Shift + P shortcut on your keyboard. For Safari, hit Command + Shift + N. Press CTRL + Shift + N if you're using Google Chrome.
From there, access your filed forms again and check if the View option is available. If it's visible, please clear your browser's cache to clear loaded data and start efficiently.
If private browsing doesn't work, consider using another supported web engine. This method helps us determine what's causing the problem on your end.
You can contact our Payroll Support Team if the recommendations on this thread don't work. They'll be able to take over and assist you further in retrieving payroll data.
Please send a request for a callback within your QuickBooks account. Our Customer Support Team for QuickBooks Online Payroll - Core, Premium is available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday). For QuickBooks Full Service Payroll, QuickBooks Online Payroll Elite/Premium, any time, any day.

I am not given the option to view and files older than 941 3rd qtr 2021. I need the first qtr of 2021. They have been archived and I have switched from accountant view to business view, cleared the cache but still nothing. The file was filed by quickbooks but I am unable to bring it up.
Thanks for joining the thread, jend38. Good to see you again.
Allow me to chime in and help you achieve your goals.
Tax filings depend on whether you chose to have us pay and file your federal and state payroll taxes or if you paid and filed them yourself. You can go to Archived forms and filings to view a copy after you filed them.
If you have e-filed or we filed the tax form for you, here's how you can view them:
On the other hand, if you filed them manually, you can follow the steps from this article to view them: Access payroll tax forms and tax payments.
You can visit this article to find out which payroll taxes and forms QuickBooks Payroll pays and files for you: Payroll taxes and forms QuickBooks Payroll does for you.

Hello,
I logged out and back in again and that worked for me.
Thanks!
It still does not show the qtr I need. I did both instructions for manual file and efile and I do not see the file. Is there a certain timeframe where quickbooks deletes files?
Hi Jend38,
To my knowledge, I don't think QBO deletes archived forms. I have started to keep digital copies of archived filings just in case QBO decides to make another change that may affect our ability to view and print archived forms. Have you tried expanding the dates of your filings beyond the actual due dates of the form? For example, for Q4 /2022 941, did you try expanding the date parameters to 01/01/2022 to 01/31/2023?
Thanks!
I appreciate you getting back to us and sharing the result of the steps shared by my colleague above, @jend38.
I want to ensure you can archive your 2021 quarterly forms in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
QuickBooks allows you to archive old forms two (2) years prior. Thus, you should be able to see your 2021 quarterly forms from the View Archived Forms. Since the forms aren't showing, let's access your QBO account using a private browser. It's possible that the browser you're using had a data issue, thus causing QuickBooks to act weirdly.
To open a private browser, press this shortcut key on your keyboard:
If this works, it means that you need to clear the browser's cache so the system can start fresh. If you get the same result while using a private browser, I recommend switching to a different one.
If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further check on this matter and provide in-depth troubleshooting steps to get your 2021 quarterly forms archived.
You may also want to run payroll reports in QuickBooks. This will help you view useful information about your business and employees.
Come back to this post and let me know how it goes, @jend38. I want to make sure this issue is taken care of.
I have adjusted the dates to extend before and after the timeframe I need. The qtr I need is 1st qtr of 2021 I would think that it hasn't been 2 years yet but since I still can not find it maybe it is considered two years now. I opened a private browser in both google and safari and still no luck. The oldest one I can see in archived is 3rd qtr for 2021. I guess from now on I will make sure I save a copy.
Here's the problem that I see, QB constantly changes things that make it harder and harder for us to do our jobs. I manage about 70 QB accounts, each one is a little different and when something like this comes up it is so frustrating. 10 minutes ago I was in an account and printed the forms no problem. Now I come into a different account and it is impossible to print. I need this data for the accountants, and why should we have to constantly talk to tech support when THEY are the ones that continually change and break the system?
I have not found a solution and all it does is waste my time and cost me and my clients money when QB changes and breaks the solution.
Every penny counts when running a business @Why888, and I'd like to share a couple of troubleshooting steps to help you print forms and get your work done in no time.
Before doing so, can you tell me if you receive any error messages when printing payroll forms? or did you experience anything else while printing? This way, I'll be able to share an accurate resolution to your query.
In the meantime, I recommend accessing your account in a private window or incognito. This is a special mode where the browser doesn't record the browsing activity on the local device, so no trace will be left on the computer. You can use either of these keyboard shortcuts:
Once done, please try to print the forms again. If it works without issues, go back to your regular browser, and clear the cache to fix the unexpected behavior in the product. You can also use other supported web engines to learn what computer and browser are needed for the best experience when using QuickBooks.
