Thanks for adding your concern in this thread, @ashepard79

In QuickBooks Desktop, payroll taxes may not calculate for a variety of reasons. One of these are:

  • The total annual salary exceeds the salary limit.
  • The gross wages of the employee's last payroll are too low.
  • Your payroll tax table is outdated.

In your case, wherein the issue persists even after following the provided steps to fix the problem, I'd suggest you to contact our Payroll Support team. They can help check why there are no deductions on the paycheck.

Here's how:

  1. Open QuickBooks, then go to the Help menu at the top.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help
  3. Type Contact Us in the search box. Then, click on Contact Us at the bottom.
  4. Enter your concern and click Continue.
  5. Select the way you wish to connect with support.

You can refer to the following links for additional troubleshooting steps on what to do if payroll taxes are not calculating:

You're always welcome to post if you have any other questions. I'm here to help.

This isn’t the kind of experience I want to happen to anyone. Allow me to chime in and help make sure this is taken care of for you, Jordan112.

You can check your subscription by logging into the Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs). From there, we can verify the status and they  can manage your accounts, products, contacts, billing, and user ID access. Aside from that, you can review charges, update your payment method, change a credit card, and update billing information and email addresses. Make sure that your billing info is updated.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to CAMPS.
  2. Enter your Intuit credentials.
  3. Go to the Products & Services list and click Details.
  4. In the upper right, go to the Status section and check if it’s Active.

For more information about CAMPs, please check out this article: What is CAMPs and how do I use it?

But if it's already updated , I recommend contacting our Support Team to determine the cause of the issue as they have the specific tool to check account details and subscription status.

To reach them, here's how:

  1. Go to the Help menu at the top.
  2. Select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
  3. Type Contact Us in the search box. Then, click on Contact Us at the bottom.
  4. Select the way you wish to connect with support.

Additionally, to learn more about reactivating your QuickBooks subscription and using CAMPs, check out these articles:

Please let me know how it goes or if you need anything else moving forward. We're here to help. Take care and have a great day!

  2. Go to the Invoices tab.
  3. Place a checkmark on the box next to the invoices to select them.
  4. Click the Batch actions drop-down and choose Print Invoices.
  5. A print preview using pdf will show on the screen.
  6. Choose the Download icon at the top next to the Print icon to save the invoices as a PDF file.

Hi there, @Prince welding.

Allow me to assist you in locating your invoices in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

The invoices won't show up on the dashboard or main page. Aside from using the Search bar, you can also locate the transactions through these steps:

  1. On the left side of your menu, go to Sales.
  2. Choose Invoices.

I've also added an article that will help you split an estimate into multiple invoices in QBO: Set up and send progress invoices in QuickBooks Online.

You can always go back to this thread whenever you have any other concerns about managing your invoices. I'll be glad to help you!

I am having an issue in writing a check. Nover had this problem before. It says the transaction doesn't balance. even though there is one and only one entry.

Need to speak to a live person

Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix the issue, Toejam88.

Getting errors or experiencing issues that never took place before are possibly caused by piled-up cache files in your browser. You can do browser troubleshooting steps to get rid of any cache-related issues. You can log into a private window (incognito) and check if you're able to write successfully without getting errors. Here are the keyboard shortcuts:

  • Press Ctrl + Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Firefox)
  • Control + Option + P (Safari)

If you're able to write a check. your cache and extensions are probably interfering with the scripts that QuickBooks is trying to run on the page. Clear the cache so you'll be able to work with a clean slate. If not, you can switch to a different browser.

However, if you're still having issues, I suggest reaching out to our support team to investigate further. They have the tools to be able to check why is this happening. They can also pull up your account in a secure environment. Furthermore, QuickBooks provides different reports that cater to your business. For you to know what you can do so you'll get the information you need most, check out this article for your guide: Run Reports In QuickBooks Online

I am having problems activateing my debit card needs help

MaryLandT

Need to speak to a live person

I'm here to help activate your debit card, Hardbody86.

You need to find out where your virtual debit card is. That way, you'll be able to access and use your virtual debit card for purchases.

Here's how:

  1. Log into your QuickBooks account using a web browser.
  2. Go to Business overview, then select Cash flow.
  3. Click QuickBooks Checking, then Manage account.
  4. From the QuickBooks Checking debit card section, select the option for Card info and complete the security step to verify your account.

You'll then see your debit card number, expiration date, and CVV code. Your virtual card is available until you activate your physical QuickBooks debit card.

Once done, activate your debit card so you can use it. Here are the steps to follow.

  1. Go to Business overview, then select Cash flow.
  2. Select QuickBooks Checking.
  3. Using the shortcut menu, select Activate card.
  4. Create a PIN you'll use to make withdrawals, then Next.
  5. Enter the card number, expiration date, and CVV.
  6. When you're done, click Confirm.

The QuickBooks debit card works like other debit cards. It allows you to withdraw cash from any AllPoint ATM up to four times for free each month. After that, you'll be charged a $3.00 per withdrawal.

Hi hafg1967!

Thank you for coming to the Community about your payroll.

You'll want to contact our QBO Payroll Support so they can correct your payroll. However, please note that we can't change your tax payment to the tax agency, so you may need to submit an amendment form after making corrections.

  1. Click on Help and click the Search tab.
  2. Click Contact Us at the bottom.
  3. Enter a summary of the issue and click Continue.
  4. Choose Start a chat or Get a callback.

On the other hand, you can visit the main support page, scroll down a bit, and click More Topics if you need some references for payroll.

I'm only a comment away if you need more help. Take care and happy weekend!

Need to speak to a live person

Hi Harris401,

Thanks for chiming in on this thread. It's great to see a new face around here.

Are you trying to set up your QuickBooks Workforce account to access your check stubs online? If so, you'll have to coordinate with your employer so they can send the invitation. Please share this article with them to know more about the process: Invite your employees to QuickBooks Workforce.

Next, look for an email with the subject [Business name] has invited you to view your pay stubs online. Open it and then select Create account or Sign in to accept the invite. If you didn't receive it, check your spam folder, or let them know about it. It could be that they used an incorrect email address.

When you're all set up and ready, follow these steps to view your paystubs:

  1. Sign in to workforce.intuit.com.
  2. Select Paychecks.
  3. Set  the appropriate date range.
  4. Click the desired pay stub.

If you still have more questions regarding this matter, please don't hesitate to contact our supports so we can help you out. We're available Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time.

Finally, I recommend reading this guide to learn how to manage your payroll, tax, and bank information: Use QuickBooks Workforce.

I have a client that I do Payroll only for using quickbooks.  He also uses quickbooks for his accounting.

He has some open invoices in his receivables that are never going to be collected and is asking me what is the best way to recognize these as a bad debt and to get rid of the invoices?

Need to speak to a live person

Hello, DKnodel.

Uncollected receivables can be a tough thing to deal with as a business person. So, I'd like to take this moment to help you out and close out those bad debt invoices.

The general idea of closing bad debt invoice is to create an expense item and link it to a non-inventory item type (as a placeholder).

Then, we'll want to create a credit memo and link it to the invoice. I'll show the step-by-step process below.

Creating an expense item:

  1. Go to the Chart of Accounts
  2. Click the New button.
  3. Set the new account to Expense, then select where you want to save it (under Expenses).
  4. For the Tax form section, select Bad Debts
  5. For the Account Name, we can enter something like "Bad Debt."
  6. Enter a description, then hit Save

bad1.PNG

Linking the expense item to a non-inventory item type:

  1. Go to the Gear icon menu, then select Products and Services.
  2. Click the New button, and select Non-inventory for the type.
  3. In the Name field, enter “Bad debts.
  4. From the Income account drop-down menu, select the bad debt account
  5. Click Save and Close.

bad2.PNG

Creating a credit memo, then linking it to the invoice:

  1. Go to the + New menu
  2. Select Credit memo.
  3. Select the customer from the Customer drop-down menu.
  4. Under the Product/Service section, select the bad debts non-inventory item.
  5. Under the Amount column, enter the amount you want to write off.
  6. Add other information such as a memo.
  7. Click Save and Close.

bad3.PNG

Now to close out the invoice, we would simply want to create a payment entry (it's not actually paid). Go to the + New menu, then select Receive payment.

Select the customer in question then check the invoice and the credit memo. Add other information if needed, then click Save and close
