Hi there, daviscabinet1.
Thanks for reaching out to us. I'm here to help provide some information about deleting paychecks in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
We have an ongoing issue where some users are not able to delete paychecks in QBO. Our engineers are already investigating the root cause of this unexpected hitch and working to implement a solution.
While we're continuing to work on resolving this issue, I suggest reaching out to our Customer Care Team to add your account to the list of affected users. This way, you’ll be notified of any updates on the progress of the investigation via email.
Here's how you can contact our phone support:
For additional reference, you can check this article on how to void or delete paychecks.
We appreciate your patience as we work through this. Please check in with us if there’s something else you need help with. I’ll be around to help.
was this ever resolved because we are having this issue as well.
Thank you for joining the thread, @BH17.
That’s not good to hear that the delete or void option is no longer available. What happens is that web-based platforms like QuickBooks Online store data to save you time when loading repetitive files. They can often become corrupted or outdated, causing issues like the button disappearing. You’ll need to clear your Cache and Cookies as this usually resolves this kind of issue.
Send a comment below if you other questions. I hope you have a great day.
So, is this still an issue? As of now I'm unable to void or delete.
Hi there, @ncroghan.
Allow me to join the conversation and to share insights about unable to delete or void paycheck in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
I've checked the investigation, and it is already resolved. In your case, it seems that the paycheck you're trying to void or delete is a direct deposit, and it's previously processed. To void the paychecks, I suggest contacting our Payroll Support. They have the tools to help you with the process.
Here's how:

I am having the same problem and these are physical checks as we don't have direct deposit as an option.
I do appreciate for letting us know you're still affected with this issue, user64557.
Our engineers are still working on a permanent fix as to why you're unable to see the Delete and Void options for paper checks. I suggest getting in touch with us so we add you to the notification list. We'll be sending updates and let you know once resolution is available via email.

I'm just around the corner if you need anything else. You take care always and have a great day!
I am a little (or a lot) concerned, since this thread was created over a year ago - and still is not resolved! We also have the same problem, we have to delete one of the paychecks, but can't do it because of the missing delete option.
Please advise on why there is no urgency/solution.
Thanks!
Thanks for joining this thread, Nordi.
The investigation was reported recently. As a workaround, you'll want to open the paycheck by clicking the Net pay link on the Paycheck list page. This will give you the option to delete the paycheck.
Please see this sample screenshot for reference:
Otherwise, reach out to our Customer Care Support via chat or call. We will help you delete the paycheck, as well as add your company information to the list of affected users.
Here are the steps:

Hi Renjolyn!
Not sure why you are saying that the investigation was reported recently?! The first post in this thread is dated January 30, 2019 with a response from the QB Team on the same day, saying that QB is aware of a problem...
As stated above, we also do not have a delete button showing, therefore can't delete the paycheck. See attached screenshot.
We will reach out to the Help desk. BTW, we already tried that yesterday. It said we will be messaged back after 5 minutes. 45 minutes later we gave up...
Thanks for this but options to Edit or Delete are also not showing even if you open the paycheck details.
Thanks for keeping us posted, ro_bridged.
I checked the investigation about the issue of being unable to delete or edit a paycheck and can see that it has been closed. Let's ensure that the paycheck to be deleted or edited is after the books have been closed. Checks dated prior to that can't be deleted or edited. You can re-open the books and then can edit the check.
If the books is not yet closed and you're still unable to delete it, we can perform a few browser-troubleshooting steps that might have caused the issue. Log in to QuickBooks using a private browser. Then, go to the paycheck list to edit or delete the paycheck.
Here's how:
Once you're able to delete the paycheck, we can go back to the main browser to clear the cache. Using another browser can also help you in getting rid of unexpected behavior.
If you get the same thing, I suggest getting in touch with us so we can open a new case to further investigate. To ensure we address your concern on time, check out our support hours.

We have the same problem
Still not working........ 1.5 years later.
Yaa that's a big nope 1.5 years later still can't delete lost or duplicate checks.... This is why my accountant wants me to change from QB.....
Unfortunately we are having the same problem. The work around by clicking on net pay doesn't work either. The delete option does not appear on this page either.
Unfortunately we are having the same issue and work around by clicking on net pay does not have a delete option either. So nothing works. Really sad.
I also do not have a delete option. The only buttons across the bottom on the net pay screen are Cancel, Print, or OK. I have NO buttons showing up when I just select the check to edit, void or delete. This is very frustrating because how is the W2 going to be correct at the end of the year? And the payroll taxes it calculates will be wrong. I did try to clear the cache and there were no differences or improvements.
Hey there, Beckster1024.
Thanks for posting here in the Community, based on your description of not having the delete option as well as the steps in the article posted above. If you still can't delete your paycheck, then you'll want to contact our support team. This is because they will be able to see what's going on in the back end and determine the best course of action. To reach them follow these steps.
If you have any other questions feel free to reach out below anytime. Thank you and have a nice Thursday afternoon.
The removal of this option makes it very difficult when an employee loses his check or an error is made in calculating their hours. It is hard to understand with so many companies being affected that quickbooks online has not come up with a solution. Extremely disappointing customer service.
Delete stopped being available on direct deposit checks (not a time issue, I ran one check a week before the deposit date, no delete button available).
Plus editing the check puts salary at full 80 hours (even for reimbursement only check, or when there was sick pay for part of the pay period so shouldn't be full salary).
I've been on the phone with quickbooks support for over an hour & keep being told things about how you can't make changes after 5pm - the person I'm talking to is fine - but it has to be escalated - and the higher ups simple do not believe that there is a problem.
