This isn't the customer service we want you to experience and I understand how it feels when something isn't working the way it uses to. 

 

You can access your QuickBooks account first using a private browser. This way you can isolate if this is a browser-related issue.

 

Here are the different keyboard shortcuts to open a private browser:

 

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

 

If you're able to run payroll, you can go back to your regular browser and clear its cache and cookies to remove your temporary internet files.

 

In case the problem persists, I'd also recommend using other supported browsers to open your account.

 

To help us resolve the investigation, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Online Support Team. This way, you'll be added to the list of affected users and be able to receive updates via email.

There are several fixes you can perform if you're unable to log in to your account. The troubleshooting steps will depend on the issue, but rest assured, I'm here to help you get back up and running.

 

If you've been locked out of your account and received the following message: Too many invalid attempts, account is locked out for 15 minutes, let's try logging in again with a phone number, email, or user ID after 15 minutes.

 

In the event that you forget your sign-in information, enter the email address associated with your QuickBooks account.  Intuit will send a one-time code to that email to access your account. Otherwise, enter your phone number, and we'll send you a one-time code via text.

QB offed me an upgrade for around 400.00   I told them I did not want to do that.

On the other hand, you may sign in to your account through a private window to narrow down your experience. In most cases, an unexpected result like this can be affected by the browser's cache. Here are the keyboard shortcuts to save you time: 

 

  • Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

 

If it works, clear the cache of your original browser to refresh the page. You may also use another supported browser if you receive the same issue.

I cannot learn whether our credit card information has been updated.  We have tried and tried and tried to do what your online site requires and are still not sure we have done it.  Why is it so difficult to do something so simple?

To verify if your credit card information is updated, we can access the Account and Settings page. Let me guide you on how:

 

  1. Sign in as the Primary or Company Admin.
  2. Go to the Gear icon and select Account and Settings
  3. From the left menu, click Billing Subscription.
  4. If you need to update, just tick Edit beside your payment method. 
  5. Update your credit card info.
  6. Ensure the address in QuickBooks is the same as the one on your credit card statement.
  7. Once everything’s good, press Confirm card or Save.

To start with, If you're using QuickBooks Online (QBO), you will need to pay for a subscription to continue using the program. On the other hand, if you're using QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT), it depends on the version you have. If you're using the subscription model, you will have to renew your subscription to continue using the software. However, if you have a standalone license in QBDT, you can still use the program even if the QBDT service is discontinued. But keep in mind that you won't be able to use the online services.
