White interface shows up when migrating the data from QuickBooks desktop to online

Hello All;

I have a QuickBooks Enterprise plan, with version 22.
And I got a trial version of Quickbooks online.

I tried to migrate the data from desktop to online but I faced an issue after I pressed Ctrl+Q+B.

When I pressed the "Get started" button it didn't get me to an interface where I should enter my credentials, it gives me a white interface with the header:

Just to clarify. Do you need to migrate data from QBD US Enterprise to QBO US version or another QBO region?

If your company is located in Iraq, you may have 2 ways to migrate data from QB Desktop US Enterprise to QB Online Global version for Iraq

1. Utilize a migration tool. i.e TPExporter for Desktop, TPImporter for Online

I'm based in the US and get this same error. I've followed the recommended steps, but am not having success with this still :(

Which error did you encounter? Make sure your Total Targets < 350K.

Unsual behaviors during the conversion usually are usually caused by data and connection issues in QBDT. To rule this out, you can follow the troubleshooting procedures in the article highlighted by my colleague, TirzahC.

 

If the same thing happens, I'd encourage contacting our technical supports. This way, we'll be able to look into your account and investigate the error. Here's how to connect with us:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Go to the Help menu.
  3. Choose QuickBooks Desktop Help, then select Contact Us.
  4. Enter the error message in the description box.
  5. Click Let's talk, then choose a way to connect.

I've Had this same issue I did not find a solution. spent now a total of 2 hours on the phone with techsupport to no avail. Has this issue been resolved?

What issue? Make sure your Total Targets < 350K as I mentioned earlier.

I appreciate you contacting our support team to help fix your issue. Since you're still getting the same problem, I'll share other troubleshooting steps to resolve this.

 

You may have a damaged company file or windows operating system that's why the screen gets white upon migrating to QuickBooks Online. To get this fixed, I suggest running the Quick Fix my Program from the QuickBooks Tool Hub. Here's how:

 

  1. Close your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) company file.
  2. Download the QuickBooks Tool Hub file.
  3. Once done, open the file (QuickBooksToolHub.exe) and follow the on-screen instruction to install.
  4. Double-click the QuickBooks Tool Hub icon on your Windows desktop.
  5. Click Program Problems, then select Quick Fix my Program.
  6. Reopen QBDT and process the migration again.

If the issue persists, I highly recommend reaching out to our QuickBooks Support Team. This way, they can further look into this matter and create an investigation ticket if other users are experiencing the same.

Current Targets are at around 190k, I've done all suggested solutions, in different orders (originally in the proper), on MULTIPLE machines and have  reached the same issue on both of my computers. I have ran the daig and tool box a half dozen times and renamed all sorts of files and moved folders. (everything is Local). Restarted the computers multiple times. Still the same thing occurs no matter the steps.  CTRL =1  > Ctrl Q+B  > Get started   > flash of checking file and then Blank white screen.

Attempted all of those solutions. Ran through them each 2 times. Renamed, qwuser.ini file. deleted the entiltelment file. Ran the daig all sorts of times all sorts of ways, restarted the computer 2x in between repeated steps. And still nothing. Ran the same things from Different file locations. Same error. everytime. Even a fresh install on a different computer, usb ported over the company file and still no option to upload. After the Get started Button, it flashes checking file and then White screen.

Consider to create a dummy file or open the sample one, then try migrating it to QB Online to isolate the issue. If you are able to do so, it is highly possible that your primary file is damaged.

Having the same issues and have been working on this on and off for a few weeks.  I did create a dummy file and am getting the same white interface, so it seems to not be related to the company file.  Very frustrating.

Has anyone found a solution to this? Working on converting a client's file now, getting the same error. I have 20 days left on my QB Enterprise 22.0 Trial and would like to get this figured out.

It seems to be an ongoing issue on QBD 2022 to migrate a file to QBO. Use QBD 2021 to migrate data for the time being.

Don’t have it.  Used enterprise at prior company and also used it for a small nonprofit (on the side). When I left the company, I took the nonprofit file and want to get it to QBO.  Downloaded a trial version of enterprise 2022 and got the file to work.  But the upload to QBO gets stuck within Enterprise (same blank pop up that this feed started with).

I can see the importance of migrating data from QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) to QuickBooks Online (QBO). I'll share additional information in fixing it so you're able to convert your file timely.

 

Damaged data is the most common cause of a blank screen. Let's run the Verify/Rebuild tool to ensure your data is free from any data issues. Before going through the process, make sure you have a backup of your company file. Then, proceed through the instructions below:

 

  1. Go to the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities, then Verify Data.
  3. If QuickBooks detected an issue, select Rebuild Now. Some users recommended that rebuilding data thrice fixes data damage.
  4. Click OK when you get the message "Rebuild has completed."
  5. Once done, repeat steps 1 through 2 to verify your rebuilt date. 

 

Also, please ensure that QuickBooks Desktop is up-to-date to the latest release. This way, you'll have the latest feature and fixes.
