Got all updates for QB 2021 and still 2 part 1099 NEC

Hi there, @Sr211. I want to ensure you'll be able to print your 1099 NEC form in the format you need.

If you still can't print the form after ensuring that your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) program is updated to the latest release and you have the latest payroll tax table, I'd recommend reaching out to our Payroll support team. They have tools to further look into your account and determine what's preventing you to print the form 1099 NEC with 3 parts.

this is still not working -  still only does a 2 per page.

i have updated 4 time, restarted my computer - no joy....

When you update your QuickBooks, you also make sure you have updated payroll tax table that's required to print the 1099-NEC in QuickBooks.    

Once done, ensure that you mark check the Critical Fixes and the Reset Update box is checked to get the updates. 

Here's how: 

1. Completely close out and shutdown QuickBooks Desktop.
2. Open the task manager on your computer and select End all tasks for QuickBooks-related processes.
3. Rerun QuickBooks and go to the Help menu and select Update QuickBooks Desktop.
4. Go to the Options tab and click Mark All, then Save.
5. Click the Update Now tab, and then make sure to check the Critical Fixes and Reset Update checkbox to clear all previous update downloads.  

6. Select Get Updates to start the download.

7. When the download finishes, restart QuickBooks. 

After this process, make sure to install the latest update by clicking Yes. In addition, make sure to remap the accounts and omit all mapping under the MISC tab. Doing this will cause you to remap NEC and MISC accounts again and be able to print the 3 to a page 1099-NEC form.

If the issue persists, I recommend contacting our Customer Care Support. They can check your account and provide additional troubleshooting steps or get this escalated for a fix.

1. Go to Help and select QuickBooks Desktop Help.
2. Click Contact Us.
3. Press the Search for Something else button then type your concern in the Ask us anything box.
4. Hit Search then scroll down to get your contact options.

Still waiting for this ability to print the 3-up 1099 NEC (Premier Non-Profit 2020).  Do you have a new date estimate?  BTW, I know this isn't a trivial thing to do in that a good deal of testing is required, but a solid date projection would be appreciated.  Thanks.

I Did all that and the forms still dont print  And when you look at other post areas for Qbooks they actually dont show a date for the actual release.  I have searched a lot so if I missed something we are still waiting...

Good morning - I am very thankful Sabrina from the Accountant Care team was able to spend another 2 hours with me on Friday.  This makes a total of 4 1/2 hours on this issue with IT support. 

For those of you still having issues, you may think you've run all of the updates because the Update Now tab  says Nothing New Downloaded but you need to check the box at the bottom Reset Update.  This prompted updates that I could not see to pop up.  This screen can be deceptive that you are fully up to date when you are not. 

We had several updates that needed to be run and all run individually and required restarts of the computer in order to get them all installed to print the 3 up's.All good now.

Critical fixes is not even an option on the 2019 Premier desktop version and I use the program for tow different clients, both of which have been updated.

It is not working for me. It says nothing new downloaded.

Please make sure to check the Reset Update box and restart your QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) and computer for the updates to take effect.

If you have and the issue persists, I recommend contacting our support team. This way, they look into your account and investigate why printing the 3-part 1099-NEC isn't available on your end.

Just to be clear - On the Update Now screen check the box Reset Updates and run the updates over and over until all updates have been installed.  If you don't keep reseting updates, this screen gives you the impression there is nothing new to download.....do it over and over and over and over until everything is updated.

Also, if one of the updates doesn't look like it is installing, close the program, right click on the QB icon and choose Run as Administrator.  This will allow some of the updates to install.  There were 2 of these in the sequence we had to do this on because they wouldn't install.

I did my updates as per the steps.  Now it will not print anything.  The printer is working.  It printed by paystubs and other forms, but will not print the 1099's?  Any ideas?

I tried this and my forms did not update.  I also used the most current ToolHub and it didn't help either.  Please advise on what next steps I should take.

I did all these steps and still cannot get these forms to print 3-up.

I presume you've already reset the QuickBooks Updates, so I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Desktop Payroll Support. That way, they can check this further using more tools.

I have installed updates on enterprise 21 and it still prints 2 per page and not 3.

Hello...I was having the same issue today...ran through all the "fixes" in the Hub Tool and everything we could find in this issue string and were still getting the 2-part forms.  Our Internal IT found that there was someone that said you should reset the updates...then run updates again.  We went through that process and I'm now getting the correct 3-part form for 1099-NEC. 

So, if you're still having issues, try the Reset Updates process.  Before you try this reset update, make sure that you clock Mark All on the Options tab so you are sure to get everything.

I updated, downloaded critical fixes, rebooted, rebooted computer tried downloading updates again and it said nothing new to download.  Still printing 1099-NEC 2 forms to a page instead of 3.

I did this update now it is not letting me change to box 1, shows box 15 greyed out so none of them will print!

I have completed the required updates and restart. As well as installing the Quickbookstools hub and running the Quickbooks print & PDF repair tool. Now when I try to preview or print the 1099s nothing happens. Before I could preview and see the 2-page example and also print it. Now, nothing. Is there something I am missing? Please advise.

I was just on the phone with QB for an hour.  1st person said I HAD to upgrade to 2022 and that was the ONLY fix (I have 2020).  Then spoke to a supervisor that said they released a fix today for the 1099 NEC problem with an update.  I will see if there is a new updates tomorrow because I had already tired to update today and it didn't fix it.  Let's all hope we can get the "fix" this week or do we all need to purchase the $349 annual subscription?  I was told if I did that it would work for sure....I'm not convinced.

I did everything in the instructions - still prints 2 per page and now there is no print preview and they won't print. Things are now worse.   Need a fix to print and to set up for 3 per page.

When you do the updates you must click on "reset updates" in order for the update to download to print 3 per page.
