Thanks for reaching out to the Community, @rschmidt46.

Are you getting any error messages when updating the credit card? In the meantime, try signing in to Customer Account Management Portal (CAMPs) using your Intuit Account info and edit or add the payment method from there. Here's how:

  1. Go to camps.intuit.com.
  2. Choose your QuickBooks subscription in the Products & Services list, then click Details.
  3. Locate the Payment Method in the Billing Information section and tick Edit.
  4. Enter the necessary changes, then hit Save and Close.

For further guidance, please refer to this article: Change, manage or update your Intuit account with CAMPs.

To know more about the CAMPs, consider checking out this article: What is CAMPs and how do I use it?

Please know that I'm only a few clicks away if you have any other concerns or issues. I want to make sure everything is taken care of for you. Have a wonderful day!

I get an error message no matter what I do.  I am "on the account" but not the account owner yet.  It's a church treasury and the responsibility is being transferred to me.  But the credit card listed for annual payment belonged to the deceased wife of the individual who is the current account owner.  The plan is to transfer it into my name upon renewal, I believe in January.  The error message is copied below:

The credit card does not need to be deleted, only the validation date should be changed to February 2026.

Quickbooks lists an expired credit card as payment method. I cannot delete the card even though its owner is dead. I can't enter a new one or edit the old one.

I also get a 'Quickbooks subscription expired' notice periodically. I keep trying to delete an old card (no longer in existence) listed in CAMPS but get the error "Something went wrong. Preferred payment method can't be deleted." There are no active subscriptions using this card so I don't know why it won't allow it to be deleted.

Thanks for any assistance.
